I'm thinking about incorporating a few minutes of breathwork into the videos for this year's challenge. What do you guys think? Would you prefer to focus only on movement, would the breathwork take away from the 30 minutes you could be moving, or would you like to have it in there?

Thanks, Mr. Tim. Great idea, incorporate the breathwork. My 2 cents, the gentle reminders to focus on one's breath before and while attempting new postures allows time to release tension for easy transitions. Anyone felt that breathwork takes away from the movements should just subscribe to the Conscious Movement Community or purchase your DVD's.
I rather have movement instead of breath work, I can do breath excercise on my own, thank you 😊

Breath work yes thank you. But me personally is just as welcome your
slow paced classes with LOTS and LOTS of alignment pointers and your ongoing ‘body-scan-check-list’ in each and every posture. My body, mind and spirit loves it and get really high on being reminded and corrected :-). It feels like you give a lot of respect to yoga itself and to me practicing. Alignment pointers together with the slower pace (as in your outstanding Quarantine Challenge) makes the practice even more challenging, plus it makes it possible to have time to incorporate your instructions, plus it makes it possible for me to delve into a meditative-moving-state which is so rewarding. And the whole point. So: Keep rocking the way you do Tim!! You are THE yoga-king!! Looking so much forward to the challenge. NB: And my reason for not commenting on this specific class is, that it is nighttime here in
Denmark and I haven’t done it yet :-).
One more NB: for all Tim-afficionados out there: I cannot recommend his Quarantine Challenge enough. It is so professional and rewarding! A true must do -:)!!

I think adding breath work to any practice enhances it. Pranayama encourages me to link my breath with my movement which takes my practice over the top.

I’m interested in seeing how attention to the breath can influence how you move or evolve into a pose. You do this in all your classes but it’s a connection that never ceases to amaze me. Thank you for the new class and for thinking of a challenge. Honestly the days are so long and uniform that having something to look forward to that is mine (not a family thing) is very valuable

Good one. Celebrating one year with Tim Yoga - started with the challenge last March...had trouble with everything and realized how weak, poor my posture and posture tolerance was--what a year!!! I feel so much stronger and keep realizing new weaknesses, alignment that needs working on...the learning never stops ...and Tim’s ability to say the right words at the right time to correct, make me laugh or fix my posture is amazing. Thanks for the year...looking forward to this next year

That was some tough love right there, but I dug it. Definitely feel energized. With regard to breathwork, I think it might be best to incorporate it occasionally, especially in the early practices. I tend to like to do breathwork on my own. Honestly, I often select videos with the assumption that most of the running time will be taken up with movement (allowing for shavasana at the end). I can then add breathwork before or after as my schedule permits. That said, guiding us through some breathwork occasionally is a good way to remind us to make time for this important aspect of our practice. Thank you!

Excellent practice, Tim. I enjoy breath work at the beginning or at the end. I am spoiled from the Conscious Movement channel classes that usually have a bit more stretching at the end. This is a great 58 minute practice, though. Namaste.
