Yeah, those! Quedar might be another one. Excellent stuff. I've noticed something with RR that may be helpful, at least for American English speakers. If you try to combine the English R sound with vibrating the tongue, it doesn't work so well. The tip of the tongue stiffens up when pronouncing the R, and resists vibrating. Just continue the vowel sound that precedes the RR and let things roll.
Me gustaba mucho este video! Era muy útil para mi! Traer / llevar, hubo/había, unas utilizaciones interesantes (por ejemplo con gustar / caerse, llevar) - excelente! Muy educacional para mi. Muchas gracias!
Hey mate! Thanks so much for watching! Yeah, there are loads of difficult words + concepts in Spanish; I'd say that it's best to approach them one at a time, and before you know it, you'll be a bona fide Spanish whizz! 😊
"HAY" = "(3rd person pronoun, implicit) + a + y" = French "il y a", English "there is/are". The 'y' denoting "there" became antiquated in Spanish but the French still use it. This nubbin on the end of "hay" is its last vestige I think, which makes "hay" such an outlier.
@@spanishunraveledI challenge you to take the Clozemaster 10 languages 10 questions each challenge. Pick any 10 languages video yourself taking the challenge and inspire us. (whether you have studied are familiar with or not). This is a fun opportunity to showcase your talent with a little bit of humility proving you too are human and still a language learner. You can put the flags of the 10 languages you choose for the challenge in both the thumbnail and the title and tag the video as #takingtheclozemaster 10 languages challenge. While also tagging the languages of the challenge. When choosing from a diverse variety of languages consider this, to include some of those you're familiar with, those that you are not, and those that you will later learn. Choosing to include a conlang like Interlingua and an ancient language like Latin will keep the challenge diverse while bringing recognition to these languages (you may surprise yourself). Consider getting a hold of Clozemaster they may be interested in sponsoring the video. We as a community of language Learners need a challenge that we can all appreciate and try together. To get the most out of the video challenge adjust the settings as follows: put the skills to listening, the question count to 10, and the mode to multiple choice. Then you can adjust the account to dark mode (as it's more attractive) and the default speed to 75% for better hearing the questions. Doing a dry run will ensure all the settings are correct. Keep a notepad by your side to keep track of the language scores. Before you end the video it would be nice if you encouraged other polyglots and language Learners to take up the challenge. I still think “lo que” is harder than anything in today’s video :)
“The thing that” if you can say this then you use lo que
Hey John :) Yeah, "lo que" can indeed be a VERY tricky customer, haha
