Yum! It's nearly 4AM here, and I'm wishing my local taco shop were open. The breakfast looked superb, but tacos will steal my heart every time. Another fun video, guys!
You make make my Sunday afternoon watching your latest vlogs and when is the footscray market vlog coming up ? can't wait to see that , cheers for now Alister.
I thought I'd wait a few hours so I wouldn't be starving when I'm supposed to be sleeping. I'm glad I waited so hungry now. Super tasty looking vlog👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾!!!!!
Early to bed for me, but Chase a plate time also!🎉 Still in Melbourne I see. What yummy food you guys are eating, good to know about Malayan food too! $40 each sounds doable. Indonesian food is interesting for me, I love the looks of the fish sandwich, woohoo Tacos, yummy 😋 yummy 😋
Thanks for some more yummy recommendations. I went down to Lil’ Lane after your last video. I would also recommend a mortadella panini from Il Gran Panino in Docklands if you’re still around - honey, rocket, mortadella, straciatella, and pistachio cream 🤤
Glad you enjoyed this one! I believe water is brought to the boil, turned off and then the eggs popped in for a few minutes- not sure for precisely how long though 😆 I love my green backpack- 40th pressie to myself! Thanks for watching Caitlin! Cheers, Sheena
Thank you for being authentic and showing us those gems! a question: Which suburb would you recommend me that has great cafes and food but is still reasonably priced? I'm single but not a party girl and love the arts and culture in Melbourne. Thanks in advance!
So glad you enjoyed the video! Oh gosh- tough to choose! I love the CBD because of the huge range in cuisines available and there are always affordable eats to be found. Also love checking out Fitzroy, Richmond, South Melbourne and Collingwood when we’re in town. And for Asian eats, Footscray and Box Hill are always winners. Hope you find some new spots to visit in this series. Thanks for watching! Cheers, Sheena
@@ChasingaPlate thank you so much for your recommendations Sheena 🙏 I absolutely love Fitzroy but surprisingly, rentals are cheaper in the CBD and Southbank. I am certainly going to go to some of the places you've shown us in your videos, especially those hidden cafes in laneways that make me feel like 'Alice in Wonderful' 😅 It would be wonderful to see your take on Carlton's best genuine Italian places or Spanish cuisine! Thank you both in advance 🌷 Wishing a wonderful week ahead 😊
I've only had cake at Raya but I want to go back for the kaya toast. More recommendations for you - Pandan Dessert Bar and Sebastian Kakigori (Japanese shaved ice). Last one is not under $20 though. Mall food is usually not great, unless you're in Melbourne :)
The cakes are yum aren’t they! We went back another day and had some. Hope you get to try the kaya toast soon. We saw the Pandan place and had it noted but never got a chance to try it. Next time! We’re in Japan right now and it’s really hot. Shaved ice is a life saver! Thanks heaps for watching. Thomas
you must Experience Stalactites, one of Melbourne's longest established & well known Greek restaurants. Owned and operated by the same Greek family since 1978, Stalactites has long become a Melbourne institution. Open from 11am - midnight Sunday to Thursday and 11am - 2am Friday and Saturday. Stalactites is a must for Melbourne diners. 177 - 183 Lonsdale St Melbourne, VIC, 3000
We did. So yum aren’t they! We went back another day and had cake and a sardine puff. Delicious place. Hope you get to try the breakfast one day soon. Thanks for watching. Thomas.
Hey mate! It’s been a really long time since we travelled to Sydney so we don’t have any up to date advice sorry! Hope you have a great time. Cheers, Sheena
There are but we wanted to showcase food of really high quality from places which are offering something a bit special. A few of these meals come in under $20 too like the kaya toast and eggs which were $12. Thanks for watching. Cheers, Sheena
Hi Ivan, that’s such a shame to hear! They didn’t really know we were filming and who we were until after we’d ordered- maybe the team were having an off day 😕 Thanks for watching and hope you’re enjoying the content. Cheers, Sheena
They sure are just cooked. We love them and it’s so yum dipping the sweet toast into the creamy egg with pepper and soy. Really worth a try if you get a chance. Does somewhere near you do them? The chicken sandwich was so good! Thanks heaps for watching guys. Thomas 😀
Thanks for watching. If the restaurant wants to use that term then it’s up to them. We just say things are there written on the menu. I’d personally call in a burger though if someone asked. It’s not a big issue though really. Thanks again. Thomas.
40 bucks!!! I knew cost was out of control in Oz but that's mind blowing! 4 eggs, 4 slices of bread, some butter, jam and a cup of tea/coffee...40 bucks..dear oh dear... I used to get the real thing in Singapore for SGD2.5. Admittedly that was a decade ago but I couldn't see Singaporeans paying over 10 bucks for this, although I am happy to be corrected! Great videos btw!!
Thanks mate. Glad you enjoyed it. You can’t compare Singapore to Melbourne. Very different set ups. You can go to a hawker centre in SG and get this much cheaper than you could in Australia (it’s no longer $2.50. We were in SG late last year and the price had gone up. Can’t remember numbers off the top of my head sorry) but this is CBD Melbourne and not an SG hawker centre. This was really high quality and very generous and was good for $20 each. Thanks again for watching and we’re so glad you enjoyed the video. Cheers, Thomas
I’m a born and bred Melburnian and you’ve shown me a raft of new places to try out ❤
Neat! So glad you’re finding the videos helpful. So much great food in Melbourne. Thanks for watching. Thomas.
What can you say but yummmmm..Zadie baby wanted some of that taco action 😁👌🌺
She was so keen! I don’t blame her to be honest 😂 thanks heaps for watching. Thomas
the food looked awesome, I love the sandwiches and taco. so good
So yum! We loved filming this one. Thanks heaps for watching Ange. Thomas
Love your channel!!!
Thanks so much 😍😍😍 hope you like what we have coming up! Cheers, Sheena
Appreciate all the detailed descriptions ❤
No worries mate. Always makes it easy for people. Cheers, Thomas
Yum! It's nearly 4AM here, and I'm wishing my local taco shop were open. The breakfast looked superb, but tacos will steal my heart every time. Another fun video, guys!
Thanks! Haha how good would 4am tacos be! Thanks so much for watching. Cheers, Thomas
Great video guys!! Makes me wanna head to Melbourne!
Do it! So much great food. Thanks so much for watching. Thomas
I went to Raya for the Kaya toast this morning! Can't believe there aren't more places doing kaya toast in Melbourne.

Love your work. Those malaysian eggs look divine- how do they cook them to that consistency? also, love your green backpack :)

I swear, when I visit in March, I'm going to be classed as overweight cargo heading home, there are so many options from your various series.
Haha so many great places! You’ll have an amazing trip. Thanks for watching. Thomas 😀

shot of espresso in the teh tarik? that's a yuan yang tarik now 😋
Haha yeah! So tasty. Thanks for watching. Thomas
You could fool your princess by offering her a slice of mandarin, but not for too long. 😂
Haha yeah that ship has already sailed 😂😂 thanks for watching. Thomas

Did you try some of Raya's beautiful cakes? They're so good. I have to try to make it there for breakfast though.

@@ChasingaPlate Best cakes by an accountant. 😅
Hey guys I am going to sydney soon and will be staying in chatswood. Any great places to eat around that area or at the CBD?
Hey mate! It’s been a really long time since we travelled to Sydney so we don’t have any up to date advice sorry! Hope you have a great time. Cheers, Sheena

$20 isnt a cheap meal folks. Plenty of places to eat around Melbourne for under $20.

I’d love to have $100 in my pocket with you three at my side. 🙌❤️
And we’d love that too! What fun we’d have. Hope you’re really well. Thanks so much for watching. Thomas 😀
❤❤🇰🇪
💜💜💜 thanks for watching mate! Cheers, Sheena
It took me awhile to figure out that CBD means Central Business District because here in California it means something very different. 😂
😂🤓
Thanks for watching this one Vicky! Hope you enjoyed it! Cheers, Sheena
Went to the taco place yesterday and was no way near to what yous had, was disappointing.. Maybe you got extra love cause of the video? 🤷♂️

We still can’t grasp the kaya toast. The eggs look way too uncooked for us 🤷🏻♂️
I’ll take a chicken sammich instead 😍

Thanks for watching. We’re from New Zealand 🙌😀 Cheers, Thomas
4:28 it's not a sandwich
Stop Americanising everything.
What bun are you eating that from?

Was in Singapore recently, hawker stalls were around $6SGD pp, actual restaurants are about $15SGD pp
@@ChasingaPlate Good on ya Thomas. A good explanation and I do realise the reality. Just keep up the good work mate. I really enjoy your channel!
$20 for a quality breakfast and 'coffee' in Australia is actually great value!
Loved this one!
Ya know even 4 me I was salivating for what looked tasty, even for someone with no teeth. Kia ora whanau.
Thanks for watching mate! Some amazing food on this one. Glad you enjoyed it. Cheers, Thomas
