Still of the Night is a must.
I second that
One of their best songs IMO! Alex really needs to check it out!!!
To this day, my favorite song of all time!
Yes please
Then Halestorms version.
David Cloverdale’s voice is incredible.
The era of 80s power ballads were something truly special.
That's what we're missing in today's music. Real power ballads by good bands.
Still of the Night - Whitesnake, an even better song.
Here I Go Again!
Yup, that one and Here I Go Again
Yes please!!!
Yeah!!! Check out my Top 11 Whitesnake in my UA-cam channel ALE ROCKS
Yassss! Still of the night
John Sykes never gets enough credit. His sound is so damn good!!
Whitesnake - here I go again
This need to happen
Both the ‘82 and ‘87 versions are great! He should hear them both!🤘
YES!!!
And let's not forget about the most popular nip slip of the 80's 😂😂
This song is legit still in my rotation.
Hey Alex,
Fun Fact:
The woman in this video was Tawny Kitaen, who was Lead vocalist David Coverdale's real-life girlfriend (Later his wife)
Some other Whitesnake songs that you might want to check out:
In The Still Of The Night
Here I Go Again
Slide It In
Slow And Easy
Slide It In and Slow and Easy also Spit it Out just to see the reaction to the lyrics LOL
Karl Smith She was also on Hercules The Legendary Journeys. She played his wife.
And in real life, she dumped him too ;(
Gwendoline
Abimael Marquez yup. Lol
Tawny Kitaen at that time hot as hell and later literally batshit crazy.
Definitely below the diagonal on the Crazy/Hot Scale.
"Still Of The Night" should be your next Whitesnake reaction.
Full for you love too. 🤗
David Coverdale vocals are awesome. WhiteSnake is perfect blend of HairMetal and Blues. And other song by them is Still Of The Night 🤘🏻
He got his start in Deep Purple. Alex needs to hear some of those songs, too. "Burn" is a good one.
For sure. Mistreated is a good one as well
Cameron MacKenzie it was my favorite when Steve Vai was playing with them!!
@@Easy_Skanking also Soldier of Fortune is really good
Coverdale was Deep Purple singer
Whitesnake
1. Crying in the Rain
2. Judgment Day
3. Still of the night
4. Here I go Again
still of the night
IN THE STILL OF THE NIGHT!!!!
id say sweet lady luck should be in here too
Here I Go Again has been played so much that I'd honestly be shocked if Alex had never heard it. Whitesnake just dropped another album, Rock 2020.
Oh man! How could I have forgot Crying in the Rain! 🥰
“Are all those Girl’s dresses see-through?”
_Probably..... It was the 80s!_
lol
Exactly what I said!!! 🤣
LMFAO
Ah yes you've reached the "I wish I lived in the 80s" stage of being a metalhead. Lol. Definitely need to react to more 80s stuff then.

I really love how you're getting more into the 80's rock , theres way more out there! That era was the best and i wish i lived during that time too 😩
dude you haven't heard Whitesnake until you've heard Still of the Night!
This is the obligatory ballad that HAD to be on ALL hair metal records after Motley Crue went number ONE with Home Sweet Home. "Here I go Again" is a MUST. In concert, 1986, 30,000 fans in Albuquerque, NM sang so loud they turned down their playing while WE sang. I still get chills to this day thinking about it.
The 80's was indeed a TIME! The music was just a reflection of what everyone was feeling.
It was even BETTER than what you think.
Need to revisit Queensryche with I don't believe in love!
one of the best conceptual albums ever
Yes!!!
Take Hold of the Flame. Lady Wore Black. Operation Mindcrime. On the Road to Madness. Hell, all of OM1 &2 plus The Warning.
Ooo good band! Their version of Scarborough Fair
Speak
Eyes of a Stranger
The Thin Line
Should've done "Still of the Night" bro... I'm just saying lol
Edit: Or "Crying in the Rain" is another good banger ;)
His face would melt. 😂
agreed and slow and easy . both major bangers .
Definitely not the song by Whitesbake to start with.
@@e.jamesshepard7183 Yould going fot the 70 i guess
Then do Vandenburg - Burning Heart to hear Adrian before he was in WS.
My dad played this song when I was really young and I've grown listening to it, still one of my faves ever! The sound is just so mesmerising 👌🏼
I was in my 20's in the 80's and I have to say it was the best time of my life. Amazing music, epic concerts, fantastic clubs.
Great song! love when you react to this 80's stuff. "Still in the Night" is by far their best song and video!
"Slow N' Easy" "Slide It In" "All or Nothing" "Love Ain't No Stranger"
edit: I've almost forgot!
"Give Me More Time" !!!
These are the best picks out of any that I've seen , from Whitesnake!!
Yes 2 of their best.
@Move The first three are easily my top three from Whitesnake. Great suggestions!
I have all this songs in my Top 11 Whitesnake in my UA-cam channel ALE ROCKS
Slow n easy is such a great song.
30 years ago this month, I was a freshman in highschool, my friend and I rode our bicycles to Irvine Meadows Amphitheatre to watch Whitesnake (when Steve Vai was their guitarist 🤘🏻) and the opening act was Bad English. RAD CONCERT!!
Coverdale’s voice is crazy good, always liked his projects
I like so much when you're going to the 80's bands! Thank you! 80's bands could be heavy but also be emotional at times.
STILL OF THE NIGHT
Edit : Your mom also have some good taste by mentionning Great White. They have some great song like Rock Me, The Angel Song, Old Rose Motel.
Once bitten twice shy
House of Broken Love is probably one of the most underrated songs of the 80s. That one should be on any Great White list XD
I agree!!! I LOVE Great White. Check out my Top 11 Whitesnake in my UA-cam channel ALE ROCKS
@@rjmcmusil could not list them all ! Save your love is also a favorite !
Great White is/qas a phenomenal blues- rock band! Absolutely stellar...saw them several times from 89 thru the mid 90s awesome show every time!😄👍
David Cloverdale the lead singer was also the lead vocals in Deep Purple
+Melinda Wise Wow I didn't know that! :O he sounds completely different Whitesnake as to when he was in Deep Purple
"We're not Whitesnake, we're Poison!"
"I thought we were Quiet Riot."
"It says here we're Ratt." (The Simpsons)
Still of the Night ofcourse is the next choice.
Here I go again is a favorite from them. Also maybe try some Def Leppard pour some sugar on me, it is one of those must hear songs that most people have heard or know and the drummer is missing an arm and still rocks out
Fun fact: They got married and she broke his back. Literally!
Huhh??? She attacked Chuck Finley with her pump when she was married to him. Spent time in the hole for that one.
And she hit her next hubby (Cleveland Indians pitcher chuck) in the head with a stiletto. He left her and easily won custody of both kids. They were going to give it another go after she got help - apparently it didn't work out
Steve vai was the guitarist for white snake from 89-91. Absolute legend.
Your mom is spot on! Thanks for bringing back my youth ;) and she's also correct that Great White is worth a listen...Rock Me ;D
Still of the night, give me all your love, crying in the rain, love ain't no stranger, bad boys, fool for your loving, here I go again, guilty of love are some other great whitesnake songs
Jeff, please check out my Top 11 Whitesnake in my UA-cam channel ALE ROCKS
John Syke´s solo is a masterpiece
The 80’s were a blast. Best music and wild times! Still of the Night needs to be next!
loving all this content you're giving us. 😍
When Tawny Kitaen ruled the world. She was fine as hell back then. Every adolescent's wet dream. LOL
Tawny on the hood of a Jaguar.... an image forever embedded in my 80's teenager brain!
The 80s Was the best era! So glad I was there!!!
Got the old man here....man,your like a time machine lol......whitesnake was kickass in concert and great white opened up for them.....keep it up my german friend...btw...we are from Stuttgart
Steelheart, Never let you go/angel eyes
You should do Kansas carry on wayward son next since you're in the 70s now
Only if you want to summon the Supernatural fandom.
This isn't even close to the 70s...
Time for some Dokken now bro!
In My Dreams, Dream Warriors or Into the Fire would be good starting points
FYI David Coverdale was also one of the lead singers of Deep Purple.
Yky should react to every rose has its thorns by poison or somebody save me by Cinderella
Never miss either of these bands live. Only once for poison because i ended up with - alcohol poisoning. My only ambulance ride and i missed it! (They were using triple shots in my drink - didn't know it until a few days later)
A great 80s song is “Electric Blue” by the band Ice House.
My dad had Whitesnake 1987 album on cassette tape and as a child I would constantly ask for him to play it whenever we were in the car. It's the album that got me into heavy metal and will always mean a lot to me. Definitely react to "Still of the night". Great song!
Such a bop! Thank you for reacting to this timeless classic! It gives me goosebumps every time no doubt ❤ My favorite song
You're mom has great taste in music. Great White is a lovely band. Do react to: 1. House of broken love 2. The angel song .. among many other great ones by Great White. Let's go on a 80s classic marathon. Love your reactions. Also do Still if the night by Whitesnake 🤘🏽✌🏽👌🏾❤️
Love both those songs, but would like to add Rock Me, bit more dynamic and deffo the best GW-song to start with imo.
@@72Gaslight yes another great song ... I'm adding another one ... "Face the day" . .. well another one. .. "Old rose motel"
@@analoguesoul yeah!! Face the day is through and through pure quality. There are honestly so many fantastic songs by GW, hard to pick just a few out. Hiway nights, Psycho City, All over now, On the edge, Once bitten, Shot in the dark.... Ha, could go on all day.
@@72Gaslight Couldn't agree more brother ... Love is a lie .. that's another classic ... Isn't it
@@analoguesoul hope we're not making life difficult for Alex now lol. Still sticking to "Rock me" as a great way to start things up. The rest will follow and the vibe of this band will take him on a nice little trip.
Please react to Thousand Foot Krutch. They are awesome! Some great songs by TFK:
-War of change
-Fly on the wall
-Be somebody
-Rawkfist
-Phenomenon
-Learn to breathe
-Adrenaline
-Running with giants
-Down
-Bring me to life
-Give up the ghost
-Let the sparks fly
Still of the Night is within the top 10 of my favorite songs period.
Here I go again is amazing. It was an 80s Anthem.
Yes, you should have DEFINITELY Checked out "Still of the Night"...Tawny Kitaen was the model in the video and she did a lot of videos and appearances in the 80's....smoking hot woman...
"Slow and Easy" and "Still of the night" are sexy.
The 80's was the absolute BEST decade!! You would have LOVED it for sure... I absolutely did!!!
80's the best DECADE ever....
I am so blessed to be a part of the 80's.........
You must react to "Youth of the Nation" by P.O.D !!!
Hey, Alex.
I love Whitesnake.
Been a fan since David Coverdale first went solo after Deep Purple broke up when then-guitarist Tommy Bolin died.
Best song to start with for Whitesnake, though?
"Still of the Night."
Classic video, with David's then-wife actress Tawny Kitaen as the sex goddess who manages to make a Jaguar Vanden Plas look even sexier by dancing on its hood.
That's her in this video, too.
She was his co-star in most of their videos off the 1987 album.
(And David definitely had game with the ladies.
Still does today.)
David is truly one of the best front men in rock.
He knows how to spin a mic stand like nobody else.
(Much better as a front man with Whitesnake than with Deep Purple, where he was still working on his stage presence and didn't quite have the microphone stand thing figured out yet.)
Great bluesy voice and they really helped define 80s Hair Metal, even though they'd already been a band for ten years by the time their eponymous album (also known as 1987) came out.
I would have started there, rather than this beautiful but slow ballad.
Also, they're another band who has so many great hits it's hard to single any out...but I will.
"You're Gonna Break My Heart Again" (not to be confused withe their older hit "Don't Break My Heart Again" which I like a bit less).
Adrenaline fueled rocker for sure.
"Wings of the Storm" also a great high energy rocker.
And "Slip of the Tongue" the title track from that album.
"Bad Boys" is definitely also an adrenaline fueled hair metal rocker.
Pretty much every song on 1987 is killer.
And the follow-up album Slip of the Tongue has some killer songs and some badass guitar-slinging from the legendary Steve Vai, who stepped in when guitarist Adrian Vandenberg sadly jacked up his wrists and couldn't play, after co-writing pretty much that entire album with David Coverdale.
Anyway.
I'd have started with Whitesnake's high energy songs first, then checked out some of their great power ballads.
But, that's me.🙂
But they have so many great songs, it's not easy to know where to begin, especially since they've been around since about 1976/1977, as I mentioned.
(It's singer songwriter David Coverdale's band, so he's been the only constant member since the beginning.
In fact, half of Deep Purple played in Whitesnake for a few albums in the mid-70s while Purple was broken up.
The late great legendary Purple keyboardist Jon Lord was on keyboards, and Purple's killer drummer Ian Paice was slamming the skins for a few albums, before the Mk. II Deep Purple line up reunited and Jon and Ian left Whitesnake to do that.
And David Coverdale was Deep Purple's co-lead singer with bassist Glenn Hughes when bassist Roger Glover got fired, and singer Ian Gillan went off to do a solo career, or got fired, depending whose story you believe. 🙂😉
David and Glenn were on three of my favorite Deep Purple studio albums:
Burn
Stormbringer
Come Taste the Band.)
Damn, I never knew he was in Deep Purple.
They are probably one of the most underrated 80's bands they have song that when you hear you just know it.
This song's solo is in my top 50 of all time best melodic solos. I love Whitesnake because of a very nostalgic moment.
My favorite Whitesnake song is "Here I Go Again". Could you react to Hear Me Now by Bad Wolves ft. Dianamite?
Give Long Cold Winter, Gypsy Road...oh hell.....any song by Cinderella a listen. My FAVORITE band ♡♡
David Coverdale also sang for Deep Purple back in the day. Burn by Deep Purple you can see him in his early years. Whitesnake has alot of damn good songs.
Slide it in
Guilty of Love
Love Ain't No Stranger
Slow An' Easy
Still of the Night
Crying in the Rain '87
Here I Go Again
He married the lady in this video.
Keep the 80's glam metal coming! WARRANT, RATT, FIREHOUSE, EXTREME, TWISTED SISTER, the list goes on ...
Still of the night!
Evanescence has a new song called "Wasted On You"
Please react to it
He did
Holly Sharrow Has he though?
Your face is priceless in the 5:52 (She sliding in the bed)🤣. I've been enjoying your channel so much.
I found you recently through Jordan Peterson videos, but your oldest ones with the 80's songs are awesome. Good job!
"Tonight I'm Falling" TNT in Tokyo 1989 :)
Next Whitesnake: looking for love or still of the night. Wont regret It!
Please react to “Tourniquet” by Evanescence.
One of THE most 80s soft rock videos ever! I had the immense honour of sound engineering for David Coverdale in the early 2000s and he is an amazingly cool guy (with the tightest leather trousers!) - LEGENDARY!
I did live through the 80s and grew up hearing all of it for the first time like you and it was absolutely amazing as a teenager to experience the music as it was transforming and developing into the timeless peices that still kick ass to this day.
The girl is Tawny Kitaen....She ended up being kind of a train wreck after David Coverdale filed for divorce
STILL. OF. THE. NIGHT.
Do it 😈
The 80s are a thousand times greater than you could ever know.
I think it is so cool that you're checking out some much older metal. As a person who lived through the 80s and 90s metal scene, I can most definitely tell you that I know you would have loved it!! I seen another comment saying "In the still of the night" ...yes most definitely a great song to react to!! Keep up the amazing work!!
Honestly, i think you’ve started with one of their most average songs!!!
*WHITESNAKE TOP 5*
1. _Here I Go Again_
2. _Crying In The Rain_
3. _Fool For Your Loving_
4. _Still of The Night_
5. _Don’t Break My Heart Again_
Do yourself a favour - Dive into them 🤘🤘
One of the greatest power ballads ever bro.....average?
Twin Rivers Yeah imo... if you listen to Fool and don’t break my heart they’re much much better... For me i always thought this was derivative of their earlier stuff...
Disturbed- stupify, open your eyes, never again
Linkin Park- no roads left
Yessss!! Another 80s concert flashback! Whitesnake, Great White and White Lion all toured together 😂your mom is smart!!
I'm 54 and the rock scene of the 80s was amazing 🖤🖤🖤 I'm still rocking and getting a motorbike again watch this space you're never too old to be a rock chick
songs id say you should listen to is
"sweet lady luck"
"here i go again"
"still of the night"
two of these i believe have steve vai in them as a guitarist and i know how much you enjoyed tender surrender by steve vai on the subject of steve vai you should go on ahead and look at steve vai's mentor frank zappa a guitar god "the muffin man " is where you should start off with him
You should definitely check out “Why, Oh, Why?” by Psychostick
I think you would find their band... enjoyable ;)
I love them 🤣
BEEEEEEEEEEERRRRRRRRR!!!!!
The 80s were are really, really cool time to grow up in. The music was amazing, all the hair bands, life was somewhat straight forward and less complicated, no internet, no handys, ...
Do Still of the Night, you're going to LOVE it!!!!
The 80s were fun! I saw Whitesnake at The Summit, which is now Lakewood Church. Back then, we all had big hair, wore short skirts and spikey pumps. David Coverdale, the singer, married Tawny Kitaen, the girl in the video. She was kind of known for being the girl on the car. But, she was also in the movie, Bachelor Party, with Tom Hanks.
Man pls react to metalingus from alter bridge.
Challenge time! React to Operation: Mindcrime (The whole album) from Queensryche. I bet you won't...
Blue Murder is an amazing band that entered at the end of the 80’s. MSG also....
80's rocked nothing better
WhiteSnake that isn't as cheesey:
1. Slide it in
2. Still of the night
3. Slow n Easy
Nothing cheesier than a sappy 80's balad.
🤮
I was a teenager in the 80's and this is the music I grew up on, along with Def Leppard, Bon Jovi, KISS and other similar bands. I absolutely loved Whitesnake and their "1987" album, from which this song is featured, is a must to listen to.
Great times back then!
"Give me all your love" is a must listen to from this band!
Grew up in the 80's best music ever
"His voice is intresting..."
Man, this is David Coverdale, one of the legends from this music genra.
Listen to any music from the Deep Purprle's Stormbringer album, and you'll see some more owhats his capeble of.
Love your videos.
Keep Smiling!
This band was my first concert when I was like 9, I saw bad English and giant open for them, they are great! “Here I go again” was probably their biggest hit, but slow n’ easy, still of the night, crying in the rain, and fool for your lovin are also all great songs too!
Awwwwwe.....I love 80's love ballards from big hair bands....SO AWESOME!!!!
So many bangers from this band! Suggestions:
- Love Ain't No Stranger
- Slide It In
- Still of The Night
- Gimme All Your Love
- Cheap and Nasty

Chris, check out my Top 11 Whitesnake in my UA-cam channel ALE ROCKS. Thanks!!
Still of the night for sure!! Slow N Easy, Love Ain't No Stranger....Do it up!!
Whitesnake - at this moment in time - were a super band: David Coverdale (lead vocals) from Deep Purple, Tommy Aldridge (drums) from Ozzy's band, Rudy Sarzo (bass) from Ozzy's band and Quiet Riot, Vivian Campbell (guitar) from Dio, Adrian Vandenburg (guitar) from Vandenburg. Listen to Still of the Night.
I saw Great White open for Whitesnake back in '87. Those were great music times, especially live shows.
You're really hittin' the stuff right up my alley lately, bro! Luv the oldies n your mom iz so right. Great White iz another badass band. Fantastic group. Definitely still waiting for my Aerosmith reaction, but I love every one of your videos. Thanks so much for the constant material n keep rockin, bro🤘🎸
