Pretty sure the official music video inspired the line from Bowling For Soup's song, 1985. Been a while since I watched their videos, so I may have the wrong one.
Whitesnake had a lot of great songs: "Still Of The Night” “Here I Go Again” “Give Me All Your Love” “Love Ain’t No Stranger” “Slide It In” “Slow An’ Easy” “Guilty Of Love” “Fool For Your Loving” “Judgment Day” “The Deeper The Love” “Now You’re Gone” “You’re Gonna Break My Heart Again” “Sweet Lady Luck” “Crying In The Rain” “Forevermore” Plus the lead singer was in Deep Purple in the 70's - David Coverdale
David Coverdale is the singer, Tawny Kitaen is the girl. They were married for awhile. She was his girlfriend at this time. Whitesnake has quite a few otger big hits, definitely worth a further check!!!
Whitesnake is David Coverdale's creature. Dave (the singer) founded Whitesnake after his departure from Deep Purple in the late 70's. During the 80's he moved to the US and jumped on the hair metal bandwagon with mixed success. Their only other big hits were, as correctly stated in the other comments, "Still of the night" (my favorite) and "Here I go again".
His girffriend was a redhead model named Tawny Kitaen and she was "THE music video girl" sliding around on sports cars and flipping big hair. Go back and do "Here I Go Again" real quick.
Actually, they were married. It didn't last. She was in a movie with Tom Hanks, Bachelor Party. She later ended up having an affair with OJ Simpson while he was married to Nichole. Nobody's perfect, I don't judge. Just sharing some interesting information.
I've always been more into hip hop but this is one from the rock side that I messed with from day 1. It's top notch in every aspect. Including the video 🔥🔥🔥
David Coverdale wrote this song for Tina Turner, but the record company told him to keep it and record it himself. It reached No 2 in the Billboard charts in 1987
"Here I go Again" another hit of Whitesnake. Sooo much out there sounds like you never heard: AC/DC(not including the basic 'air staples') to The Allman Brothers(Soulshine my favorite....but love hearing MANY more of theirs.)
This is one of my favorite ballads of the '80s. David Coverdale has one of the best rock voices. He has an interesting history; he started his career as the second lead singer for the English band Deep Purple in the mid-1970s. After that, he had a couple of solo albums under his own name (one of them was actually called White Snake) and then he founded the band Whitesnake. It started out as a blues-rock band in the early 1980s and had a number of hits. Then, in 1987, when this song, 'Is This Love?' came out, they had transitioned to more of a 1980s 'hair metal" phase. Some people thought they had become too commercial at this point, but as an '80s child, I still liked the music. Among the rotating cast of musicians in Whitesnake, David Coverdale is the only steadfast member of the band, as he founded it. As for future reactions, I personally really love David Coverdale's acoustic version of 'Sailing Ships' from 'Starkers in Tokyo'. It shows him singing along with a guitarist in an intimate setting, and it really showcases his vocal power.
Welcome to power ballads, man!! You heard rock & roll you probably thought high-octane guitar and drums, crazy lyrical metaphors. This is melodic poetry. You're right on the money, this is that close the door and light a candle music. I HIGHLY recommend you checking out Scorpions - Still Loving You. A song that is statisically and factually linked to a baby boom in France!
My favorite song ever in this genre is Winger: : HEADED FOR A HEARTBREAK". It is just soooo good! 🔥🔥🔥 They are incredibly talented. Hard rock musician, who is a classically trained musician. Best song ever for me to this day. 🙌
Like I said in another comment, wait until you hear "slide it in", I won't tell you what it's about, but you can probably guess though. Rock never had any innuendos...at all (sarcasm). You have a great channel by the way. @@BlackPegasusRaps
Lovin the 80's music, this happened to be one of my fav songs!!! Alot of their songs definitely have comms in them!!! I believe this song was dedicated to his honey in the video!!! ❤Whitesnake rocks!!!
Every Whitesnake song immediately brings me right back to High School! Ought to check out Europe - Final Countdown... youll recognize the beat. Or anything by Dokken, my fav is Alone Again ❤
This was big in the 80s all the girls went crazy over him...this whole album was a hit....it was a good time in life ...the music was great in the 80s ...
I’m going to say what every Whitesnake fan says, try “Still of the Night” one of the greatest hard rock songs ever. They had been around for 10 years or so since the late 70s, fairly successful especially in their native UK, but in 1987 that song and album broke them into the US in a big way. They were a massive band after that for 4-5 years, still touring these days with a sizeable global fanbase.
The fact that you checked this one out and liked it makes me want to put together a list of 100 iconic rock, hard rock and metal songs from the 70s-80s 😅 There is so so much you've probably never heard but likely would enjoy.
I saw them live on Easter Sunday 1990. David Coverdale (singer) opened the show by shouting "Happy fucking Easter Mother fuckers. By that time Steve Vai had taken the role of guitarist. He did an epic 15-20 min solo using about 5-6 different guitars placed in different places around the stage. Fire ass song and a memory in my heart. Also BP the women attending that show (and that was at least 60 percent of the audience) were absolutely amazing. It felt kinda like a heavy ass modeling show.
Yo ! You had me Rollin 😂 with the With the Whitesnake and Pearl necklace remark. This album was played so many times by my dad 😅 I think you'll like "Here I go again on my own". It might be there biggest hit the that songs been in movies and commercials so you might of heard it without realizing it. Thanks for the content
Yes to everything 80s!! This is one of their ballads, but Here I go again is on my list for u to check out! Someone else I think u would like is Scorpions! Wind of change is an amazing song, and it will instantly go on your classic forever playlist!!
"Is This Love" = sexy time rock "In The Still of The Night" = hard rock "Give Me All Your Love" = a perfect blend of the two 'Here I Go Again' = an arena rock masterpiece
They had been around for a while when this came out, but it was one of the songs that propelled them to prominence. You can imagine, in the height of MTV and the music-video era, having Tawny Kitaen strutting to your music got you on the must see/must watch list!
Lots of great songs "Still Of The Night” “Here I Go Again” “Give Me All Your Love” “Love Ain’t No Stranger” “Slide It In” “Slow An’ Easy” “Guilty Of Love” “Fool For Your Loving” “Judgment Day” “The Deeper The Love” “Now You’re Gone” “You’re Gonna Break My Heart Again” “Sweet Lady Luck” “Crying In The Rain” “Forevermore
David Coverdale the Singer of Whitesnake had Tawny Kitaen the model in a few of his videos, also they ended up being a couple and getting married back in the 80's
Massive band. They did have some cheeky songs like “Slide it in” and “The deeper the love”. All in fun. They are an amazing band. Tons of hits. Their 1987 album “Whitesnake” was top of the charts for months. My favorite song by them is “Love ain’t no stranger”.
You are on a heck of a journey. Your playlist is gonna be massive. The music back in the day was so good and real talent. Definitely do more White Snake!
You've got to watch "Still of the Night" and "Here I Go Again." This is the singer's ex-wife in this video and a few other of their videos. They are more Blues oriented Hard Rock.
This is a Power Ballad. His girlfriend was the model named Tawny Kitaen and she was "THE music video girl" of the time. Please do "Here I Go Again" Thanks! Love your channel.
Before the 1987 album, they were a heavy blues metal band. You need to check out a live performance of ‘ain’t no love in the heart of the city’ from the early 80’s
He was also discovered at 19 years old and put into one of the biggest bands on the planet headlining concerts of 100,000. When Deep Purple disbanded he formed Whitesnake which was huge overseas. They eventually broke into the US!
Remember that white Jag she ended up on the hood of at the end of the video. You ain't seen nothin' yet! "Here I Go Again" for the touchdown. Get to it!
Still of the Night, Love ain’t no stranger, slide it in, fool for you loving just a few of great songs by White Snake. Coverdale married girl in video. She was opposite lead of Tom Hanks in Bachelor Party
I went to a Whitesnake concert with my older brother. He had bought tickets for him and his girlfriend, she ended up leaving him before the concert, so he invited me along. I found it extremely funny when he found out from David himself about what each song was about; my brother had thought they were all love songs. I really enjoyed the Coverdale/Page (Jimmy Page from Led Zeppelin) hook up on their 1993 album. Shake My Tree and Pride & Joy were the 2 songs that hit the radio in my area. The whole album is pretty good though.
Hi such a beautiful classic hit, we did have some amazing songs back in the day ❤❤❤ Another brill group if you like this is foreigner some real beautiful words. Well worth a listen,
Whitesnake "STILL OF THE NIGHT" is fire (original video) 🔥🔥🔥
The live version from Donninton. With Steve Vai playing with them
What a lineup that was.

When they were dating he was 2 million dollars in debt she stayed with him and helped him get out of debt and they never had any kids.
It's called a power ballad and all hair metal bands had them.

They had to censor A second of the video because of a nip slip. The FCC has a thing about nudity of TV
