  • In this video, I perform a bunch of needed maintenance to my C5 Corvette as well as leak topics for future videos. I track down a leak and replace the clutch master cylinder. While the car was in the air I also replaced the manual transmission fluid. I also replaced my pop-up headlight gears with strong machined brass ones. I have included some links in the description for you to also check out and buy the same stuff I'm using!

Hey did you have to bleed the clutch after the master cylinder instal install I assume yes?
I got a c5 project drift car ig I kicked the clutch a little too hard and some how the clutch pedal bracket cracked and also snapped those little plastic tabs that lock the master cylinder in the clutch bracket such a whack break but drift thing i guess

After the master cylinder install, how did you bleed the clutch? That is the hard part and usually requires a left to gain access to the bleeder.

I filled the clutch fluid reservoir full and pumped the clutch multiple times. I could see air bubbles rising. The fluid level dropped to fill the system again. I topped it off and i was good to go. The fluid reservoir is the highest point in the system so air should rise and exit while pumping the petal. I used a oem clutch master. This procedure may be different for aftermarket ones with throw adjustment options.

Where did the o ring in the package go?

I didn't have a O-ring in my package. Just the brass gears and the cork gasket for the cover. When in doubt always assemble it the same way you took it apart. Pay close attention to how it's disassembled and reassemble it the same way :)
