Speaking about memory lane....I remember jumping around on my parents king size bed when the shows intro would start. "Roland Martin shows you what he knows!" My father never fished but he would still take me. Usually dropping me off before work and picking me up after. He never understood how I got so obsessed with fishing. As a latch key kid, I had very little adult supervision growing up. I learned from watching you, Roland. Its the only thing I've continued doing throughout my life. (AND getting in trouble) Only when I'm fishing, does the world make sense. Thank you, Roland.
You know, fisherman come and go, and TV personalities come and go, and there’s countless anglers on UA-cam now... But you sir, are still the very best of the best! Thank you, Roland for all the memories and for continuing to do what you do.
@San Diego Im not the one all goo goo about the old guys like you are in the comments. Dont try include me in your club. All that talk of old man wrinkly balls is working you up I think.
When I was a kid I remember my grandfather watching Roland Martin and Bill Dance. All the way back to 4-5 years old and I’m 36 now. Classic memories here
Thanks Roland !! I grew up watching you Saturday mornings , I’ve become a great fisherman, not to toot my own horn, but when I catch more fish than anyone else in the boat 🚤, they all want to throw me in the lake 😎
I agree Roland is a cornerstone in bass fishing and Bill Dance is up there as well the episode Bill does with Jerry Lewis is epic these guys are great entertainers and their fishing techniques are simple but effective
I look forward to his video updates. I am just recovering from a hospital stay from COVID 19. I am so glad Roland got through that himself. His fishing updates got me through in the hospital stay and kept up my mental health. Thanks, MR. Martin, you are a class act.
Thank you Roland for what you’ve given to the fishing community. I’m in my mid 40’s and couldn’t wait till the weekend to watch Roland and Bill. More to it than just catching fish, Roland is the whole deal.
The first time I ever fished Lake Okeechobee about 10 years ago. I stopped at your place in Clewiston. Your Uncle George turned my friend and I on to the Sink-O lure and told us where to fish. We had a great day on the water. I bought a shirt from your shop and sent it to my girl in Sydney Australia along with a photo of George and myself. Thanks Brother
Great to see you old friend! Its been a few decades since I've watched the dozens of VHS tapes I would record you and Jimmy and Bill and Hank on. I'm so excited to have found your channel. Keep 'em comin', son!
Thanks so much Roland. I love ya man! I've been watching you fishing for many years. At almost 62 I can remember those early 70s years of the Rapala. Still to this day my favorite fish baits. Now I'm making my own fish baits and painting fish baits. It just adds to the fishing fun. Keep the videos coming man. Thanks so much.
I've been watching and learning from you since I was in Jr. High (1976). Glad to see you're still getting er done. I fished Okeechobee once. I got to fish a tournament there with Scott just before he went pro. We won by over 5 lbs. What an awesome kid and a memory that could never be replaced. The way I see it is, we were both taught by the best! Tight lines my friend.

Thank you for getting right to the point and keeping it simple. This approach to teaching makes it easier to recall information and apply the techniques you recommend. I just enjoy Roland's special and endearing personality. I just enjoy listening to his infectious enthusiasm. And that is combined with soooo many y arms of experience. What a pleasure to listen to. Roland deserves whatever economic rewards he may receive.

Roland, I couldn't agree with you more about the senko. I admit, I usually fish saltwater. but if I'm looking at freshwater baits I would probably look at the senko and pass right by. culprit worms, then give me salty lizards. but after hearing (and watching) you catch bass on the senko I might give it a try. I know it's not a sales pitch. you wouldn't use it if the senko didn't work. Wow that crawdad color crankbait with the orange belly sure does bring back memories. and the tiger colors! Soft baits sure have changed since the days of the purple worms with the hot pink tails.
Roland the legend martin. Man, you are a great fisherman and have inspired me to try and be a better angler!!

Stick-Os and creature baits in south Louisiana.
We cover a lot of water with the speed shad and catch fish. But the first 2 are comfort baits

Hi Roland, greetings from scorching Arizona, great video
Great video!
I used to watch you when I was a kid and now I have kids so I am trying to get back into fishing with them so my biggest request is to please type show closeups of the lures you are using and add the names, sizes and colors in the info box when you post the videos. I have been watching your videos lately and doing my best to find the lures online once you say it is great. Thanks for helping me teach my kiddos!
really enjoyed this video
Awesome video Roland 👍
I still have several Raps and orginal rapalas in the cardboard boxes from Finland. A lot of them have copper rings on them. Love the craw dad color!
