  • After over a year in development, the first Stiletto product is finally here! The Stiletto Rear Lower Control Arms for Jeep Cherokee KL improves upon the stock arms by utilizing steel construction that's over three times stronger than the stock arms. They also feature a fixed bushing that won't twist out after repeated obstacle strikes.
    Additional benefits include:
    • Increased ground clearance ranging from 1"-1.75" across the length of the arm.
    • Integrated body lift, available in 1" and 2" varieties.
    • Corrected spring geometry so there is no outward bowing at normal ride heights.
    • Polyurethane bushings that improve on-road handling.
    • Tubular design naturally resists getting hung up on obstacles.
    • Integrated deflector plate prevents rock damage and digging into dirt on heavily rutted trails.
    • Powder-coated to protect against abrasion and corrosion.

    I just found your product through another channel I follow..Moots KL and I really like this set up. I know you are a new company but I have to ask. How much testing has been done with the stilettos? I know the concept is better clearance and stronger components and true lift but how about direct impact? Let's say if you are rock climbing and the wheel slips and the whole thing lands on the strut bar? I still want get a set no matter what because after Moot installed them on his Trailhawk the difference was amazing!

      Thank you for your questions. The Stilettos have been in development for about 1.5 years and the first functioning prototype made its debut just over 12 months ago. We have amassed almost 40,000 miles of testing on our own personal vehicles and a similar amount on several volunteer vehicles. They have been put through their paces on all sorts of terrain ranging from boulder fields to mud pits. The worst damage received on any of the prototypes was a bent deflector plate, and this was what prompted us to add reinforcement ribs to the deflector plate.
      In your hypothetical scenario, if you fell on a pointed rock, at the weakest part of the Stiletto (mid arm), it would have to experience a force of about 2300 lbs. before deformation (i.e. bending) occurs. For this force to be felt, the opposing wheel would have to be off the ground during the entire event and the coil spring would have to bottom out. Not impossible, but it would be a relatively dramatic event. Also, by our calculations, the stock aluminum control arms would deform after about 1000 lbs. under the same scenario. Note also that we're talking about deformation, not failure. It would require significantly more force to flat-out break.

      ​​@@gleamingalloyfabrication4033 do they improve articulation? Do you have a video on how/why that works? Do they just have better travel than the suspension arms?

      @@off-roadingexplained8417 They do not offer increased suspension travel. Achieving that requires more than just a control arm swap. What they DO provide are: 1) More ground clearance due to having a lower profile than the stock arms, 2) More strength than stock, 3) Integrated lift that corrects spring geometry, resulting in better handling than a spacer lift.
