Ive had a bunch of these golf carts the G2/G9 platform are my favorite and the best in my opinion
The Hyundai hgg1 is a clone of the G2. I freakin love mine with a "Stage 2" 420 hemi.

After watching this you made it more work than necessary the engine fits the rear mounts and just add a square pipe in front and drill holes it sits right on the original mounts, I even used the original belt.

I did this a couple years ago kept breaking the choke lever for vibration or bumps. Bought a Mikuni carb definitely worth the money

Nice i just got a six wheel gator john deer. Blow motor but came with a new predator motor.
I did this years ago the rear bolts fit and the front only needed a 1” square tubing added to fit, no need in a charging system just add a solar panel from harbor freight $13 to the front and your battery will stay charged. The exhaust is the problem you have to weld it and make it fit as for the engine running it doesn’t i pull my 3000 pound boat around with mine it’s a beast

The Hyundai HGG-1 cart is a South Korean clone of the G2. Five minutes with a grinder and a couple of 2"x1/2" flat steel bar risers front and back let me install my modified 420 hemi Predator using the same bolt holes in the stock engine cradle. No other parts or mods were necessary. Everything lined up and fit perfectly. Stock throttle cable, stock belt with a 780 clutch. Welded up a flange to my own bent full length 1.25" exhaust capped with a round big block B&S muffler. Been running the hell out of it for over two years now. 4.450 (+.040) billet rod, forged flat top piston with deepened fly cuts .018 out of the hole with a .048 gasket, stainless steel NR Racing valve package, CM pushrods, billet flywheel with ring gear, Dynocams .255 lift welded lobes cam, ported head with polished and enlarged exhaust port, 3 angle valve job, head and side cover studs, bored 3 circuit carb modified to be fully tunable, VC modified air filter box. ua-cam.com/video/qrtbYT4oIyY/v-deo.html

Did it to mine but having shifting issues in the transaxle as the rpm at idle keeps the primary engaged. Good job onner boys

Your carb was pointed straight toward the frame pipe. What did you do there to install the air filter? Did you remove a section of the frame pipe? Curious to know what you did
Thanks for your video. I have an older model 3-wheel EZ-GO cart and want to convert to gasoline. I have an electric start 11hp horizontal thats in a bad generator. I purchased the cart to pull trash can to end of my 3/4 mile driveway and possibly cruise the neighborhood. If you have an suggestions on putting that engine on the cart I would appreciate anything you can add. I just can't afford six 6v batteries. I did think about put 3 deep cycle batteries in it. I have two 12v 75ah batteries now. Again, any suggestions would be appreciated and I enjoy your videos! Keep them going!
How is the engine getting gasoline ? I saw that you removed the original Yamaha fuel tank and took the engine fuel tank...
I would like to know why you didn't show how you hooked up the starter and the foot speed pedal for reverse and forward can you do a video on that?

There are a couple of issues you didn`t discuss. What did you use for a fuel tank and the engine doesn`t have vacuum for a fuel pump. I installed the same engine used the stock tank with a electric fuel pump. I also purchased a bushing to use the factory pulley on the engine so I was able to mount the generator starter in front of the engine to crank it with the foot pedal and charge the battery.

I used the pipe in the valve cover for vacuum fuel pump just put an inline fuel filter to deal with any oil residue been working for 3 years so far.
Would like you guys to do an installation of one of the vegas carts kits but a little more indepth. Great content though. Hilarious!!!

How did you run throttle cable, and all the electrical? Did you use a fuel pump? You put it in mocked an exhaust then it was running.
Red beard, i just installed a 420cc DuroMax engine in a cushman 800x. I want to use the OEM fuel tank to the cart but is needs a pulse line to operate the fuel pump. What do you suggest I use? Should I put a low volume electric fuel pump or try to put a vacuum adapter on the carb? Thanks!
Hey. Do you think a disk clutch or a centrifugal clutch would still work good and engage when submerged in water and mud. I have a mud mower project going and I’m trying to stay away from belt to completely eliminate slippage issues
Make a waterproof case around the centrifugal clutch
Does the exhaust pipe heat the belt at all? Rebuilding an AMT600 5-wheeler and trying to figure out how to run the exhaust of the Pred 420.

I have a 1987 Yamaha it had a motor but they put a Honda engine on it but they didn’t hook cables up to the trash mission can you make a video to show me how to hook up the transmission for reverse it’s there but not hooked up and don’t understand maybe it’s broken like your video👍
How do you align the driver clutch on the engine to the secondary drive on the rearend? Do you run it flush or offset? I don’t want to stress my belt

I've done that...used the whole drivetrain & front / rear suspension as well. It'll climb anything and do 55 if I want it to. Built it a few years ago and still ripping it. I've got a few vids of it uploaded if you wanna check it out.

Hello, I have this same swap with a 780 torque converter, can some one tell me how many lbs the shaft bolt holding it on should be. The converter is tapered, using an aluminum 1" to taper shim. Thank you.

How did you adjust the speed? From the throttle cable?
I have a g2 cart. I thought I needed to add a reverse setup to change the motor. After watching it is my understanding that the F/R lever controls the rear-end and not the rotation of the starter.(RIGHT?) So I can put any motor in this Honda GX390 with no effect on the reverse ?

Im using my stock yamaha clutch and it wants to creep away at idle, How do I stop that from happening.. I want it to stay fully open so it can freely slip at idle speed and I have it set at its lowest...
How was you getting the reverse gear to work ? I put the same motor in my g2 and lost Reverse . And what is the drive belt part number ?
reverse is switched at the transaxle on G2's. Sounds like you had a G1 that ran the engine backwards to achieve reverse.
What type of welder were you guys using?
