- In today's video we look over the 440cc Duromax engine swapped ez go golf cart. We built this almost two years ago and it's been running great. These projects are why I get more interested in watching red beards garage over other channels sometimes this guy has a big heart with a awesome woman who probably keeps him from going broke giving things away cheaply

Dang I didn't expect this
I dropped a Stage 2 420 hemi Predator in my Hyundai cart about the same time that I was watching you do this build. 1" risers, minor grinding to the engine cradle, a 780 Comet I pressed down for a 1" belt, and a custom 1.25" pipe exiting center under the cart capped with an old big block Briggs round muffler were the only mods. Original throttle and choke cables. The ONLY part I purchased from VC was the Torque+ cam which the exhaust lobe wiped off at about 6 months resulting in a complete teardown and a new welded lobe cam from Dynocams and new ARC rod bearings and lots of kerosene to wash the cam lobe shavings out. Cart is stock height with Wanda 33f tires on offset 8" rims and 2" wheels spacers all around for stability. I run it all over the hills and woods here in Eastern Kentucky even in 4" of snow.
This build is what motivated me to do on a melex golf cart about 2 years ago, used a 420 predator been an awsome cart!

Changed drum brakes for disc on my golf cart. Disc brakes require 10 inch wheels. Used mechanical disc brakes, works great!

Wish I had the finances just to get mine fixed and running. I am beginning to believe I got taken when I bought it. I am not able to do alot of work anymore. 12 back surgeries has about done me in. the stock bushings for the ezgo are just you can't go wrong with the upgraded ones

Red Beard, what is the tallest widest tire do i dare put on a coleman bt200x?, im trying to big as possible (it has a 301 predator without govenor with stage one and i replaced the flywheel with an everest electric start flywheel so i could keep the charging system after the engine swap) and brother, i wanna thank you for making these videos so detailed, cause when you mention people that are watchin these videos lookin for a specific engine with a specific upgrade tutorial, thats me man.. really, youve got me there brother, for real... keep it up...

I have a ezgo with 440cc duromax that's not installed yet, need to weld a base plate first but what kind the primary clutch do you guys use? The back one is 1+ " wide just as a belt that fits but I can't find anything 1" bottom opening on the duromax side...please help.

Red beard, I have a Kawasaki gas engine off a 2017 cushman hauler 800X. I cannot figure out how to remove the torque converter from the engine shaft. Do I need a puller of some sort? The engine is shot and I’m doing the Duromax 420 replacement. Thanks for any instructions!

You put a battery on it so the battery powers the accessories and the engine charges the battery

@@Blugiatos I went to a local golf cart shop and found the belt there it wasn't perfect but once the belt wore in it works great now but I fried the engine not enough air flow so I need to add air ducts and vents as well as buy a new engine

Nah, not unless you built the motor. Their isn’t enough torque to a motor like that. Also I think you’d be hard pressed to have a golf cart cvt that’s the same shaft size as a 212 shaft
