It was so satisfying when I finally beat it and was rewarded with that beast of a sword. At +10 it has the highest strength scaling of any weapon in the game as far as I know.
I live that sword. Also something very funny about killing things with its range attack as a strength build. That and catching rivers of blood fools with it point blank
The grafted swords ability also acts like Endure, and you can use it to armor through attacks for reduced damage. It’s a lot of fun if you’re doing a poise-tanky kind of thing and you want to heal or charged attack without being interrupted.
I play as colossal sword user with the ruin greatsword and although I like it a lot, I am constandly looking for something that might be better. Would you recommend switching to grafted greatsword since you seemed to do better with it? (I am surprised it did as well as it did and thought it would be complete trash. Thx for setting this straight)
The Ruins Greatsword is alot like sorceries themselves at the start find something else but once you have everything you need for it it's broken so basically if your just playing for fun Grafted if you are planning on mid maxing go Ruins
The good ol' Moonlight Greatsword being one of the best weapons in the game is perhaps the most aggressively unsurprising thing I've heard in any Elden Ring video. FromSoft loves their signature weapon, and dammit, so do I!
There is no way you have the Marías Executioner over the Dark Moon…. That is a BOLD take. Marias doesn’t even crack my top 5 to be honest. Meanwhile, the Dark Moon greatsword is arguably the best weapon in the game (or at least tied with the blasphemous blade)
I was basing the list of off damage, Marais always pulled more damage, plus I hadn't even buffed it fully, dark moon greatsword was nearly fully buffed and could pull ~3k damage on average while Marais could pull ~7-10K on most bosses, plus Dark moon relies on frostbite to get its damage up by that little bit more, Marais doesn't need status effects to do massive damage
I definitely rank Darkmoon higher, especially since unlike marais it encourages you to be a sorcerer so you don't have to waste stat points to pair it with Terra Magica, or if you want to include sorcerery even pair it with the magic debuff from Renala's full moon or Ranni's Darkmoon. No need to waste points to get Flame grant money strength or Golden Vow. It's crazy to me that Snuppet mentions Terra magica when talking about Marais but not Darkmoon even though Darkmoon can take way better advantage of it since you don't need to be right next to a stationary target. But maybe I have a bias because I was using Death's poker which is another impractical but incredibly strong weapon and in a similar way to Marais (although it's definitely practical than Marais) until I actually started using Darkmoon and I've just never looked back (although I still use it in specific situations like setting down ghostflame before the next Godskin spawns in the duo fight). Oh and moonlight greatwsord has always been one of my favorite weapons, although I wasn't too keen on this version till I actually gave it a shot.
I really appreciate the fact that even though you are playing a new game and "cheating" it in you still take into consideration when you would get it in the actual game. Makes the rankings have more weight with the consideration of stats and its place with the others in its category.

It’s attack is slow, the projectile distance is a joke, and the projectile misses a fuck ton of times. - Someone who play darkmoon greatsword only in elden ring
The real maidenless with the song
Godfrey : "Your puny blade won't reach me fr-"
Tarnished: "BEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAAM!"
I love the way you timed the music with your Dark Moon montage
The Ruin Greatsword is so awesome, I remember reaching Redmayne Castle before even finishing Liurnia and powering through that boss fight with the Crucible Knight and Misbegotten Warrior.
I think greatsword does more damage
@@rcola5 it does more base damage, but the Ruins Greatsword has S scaling in strength when it's fully upgraded.
Thx for setting this straight)
its rly good if you are underleveled since its a free godric rune but other than that a well built ruin greatsword performs better.
The Ruins Greatsword is alot like sorceries themselves at the start find something else but once you have everything you need for it it's broken so basically if your just playing for fun Grafted if you are planning on mid maxing go Ruins
0:28 I tense up whenever I hear "but before" in the first minute of a video
Oh wow I really thought the godslayer Greatsword is legendary too. It’s a golden pick up item is it not?
Correct he titled it wrong, It’s the legendary armaments not every legendary weapon.
@@snuppetyeah but good luck having any enemy sit still for that long, especially in NG+ where their poise gets extremely high
Plot twist: Holy famage will reign supreme in the DLC
Bro predicted it
Bro, the effort you put into this video is unreal. Glad to hear you enjoyed making it. 👍👍👍
8:32 i accidentally paused, wtf is this?
Jesus Christ......
Yeah… what the fuck is wrong with people
Ludwig’s theme goes so hard in this ong
isnt godslayer a legendary armament?
This was 11 months ago 😂
I like how in the darkmoon montage, he casts the spell whenever the music has a swelling violin
Isn't the god slayers a legendary
No it's not
This is one of the best Elden ring weapon videos I’ve ever seen. I’m watching all your videos from now on
this video was an absolute spectacle. what an amazing ranking video, it felt like a movie. amazing job
Nah can we talk about that PARAGRAPH on the stream at 8:33 😭😭😭
Legitimately criminal how few subs you have. These videos have insane editing quality and just grip me like no other. Good job bro
The fact you put ludwig's theme for the dark moon gs is a nice touch
syncing the music during the moonlight greatsword compilation was just perfect
I remember early versions of Elden Ring. Eclipse Shotel combined with Fire's Deadly Sin was horrendously powerful in PVP, instakilling lots of people.
I honestly expected you to have a much bigger following after watching this - really fucking well made video - will be sure checking in to your stream
Love the Moonlight edit. All of the attacks syncing with the music was great.
Love how the orchestral hits aligned with the dark moon greatsword hits 😂
Dude your editing along with the music is so on point. Ive enjoyed watching your content so much.
I've binged your vids for the whole day, unbelievably underrated channel. Absolute S-tier video!
If the heavy attacks of the marais executioner greatsword had the telekinesis swings elemer has, it would be op but oh so fun
I bet a mod creator would be willing to make that. give it the Nox flowing hammer skill and just do some doodling with the weapon and effects
This is a great video, I love how you showed the gap between 9,8 to 7 up
I have to admit, that was a very cool edit at the end of the moonlight greatsword section.👌
This was your FIRST commentary video!? And you got 1.2 MILLION VIEWS.
Good job bro! Keep it up!
Absolutely fantastic video. Definitely deserves more attention!
bruh, that moon light greatswoed was so fire. great job mah man
Killing Millicent is true maidenless behavior
this video made me want to play the game again, thanks. great vid btw
I'll keep an eye out for your next video
20:35 WTF THE FACT THAT EVERY HIT ALIGN WITH THE MUSIC IS JUST PERFECT
I really appreciate the fact that even though you are playing a new game and "cheating" it in you still take into consideration when you would get it in the actual game. Makes the rankings have more weight with the consideration of stats and its place with the others in its category.
