That is how it suppose to be. Thats how african men are confident about their own selves. I wonder why black americsns complain not being liked by ethiopians
I'm Eritrean man and it never crosses my mind dating outside my culture. Unless you're individualistic it's not easy to marry from other cultures. You have to think about your children's potential identity crisis and low self-esteem because of cultural clashes.
Why dont girls from the horn of Africa think that way. Do you think some of them marry out because of low self esteem or because they dont like their culture or men. What do you think it is?
@@gemdealer6879 You think its normal for someone to feel no attraction to no man or woman from their community to the point of actively seeking others elsewhere. Nah, I thinks there some deeper issues. I've identified some common factors. A identity complex or some poor upbringing, father issues especially for the girls. Attraction is a strange thing but in some cases it can be influenced. I've seen it with my own eyes, women who date out because of other issues.
I am a Black man from America. I'm going to Ethiopia next month. My Ethiopian friend told me NOT to date a Ethiopian girl because the men would chop my head off or try to kill me. Is this true?🤔
I am from East Africa but I see nothing wrong with East Africans sticking to their own groups, it is not only Ethiopian , other East African s we see our beauty in our own people, . Which is a good thing if we mixed we would dilute our ethnicities
Thank you for your comment. The point is that people should choose and be supported to love where their hearts lead. It would be easier to date someone within your community, but folks shouldn't be looked down on if they decide to date or marry someone outside the community.

Real talk! Non-Habesha people need to understand that Semitic speaking Habesha people are still a part of the black race like you said. የወደድኩት ጥሩ ንግግር አለሽ ። 😉👍🏾
Politically yes but genetically/ancestrally speaking horn of africa's Semitic/Cushitic speakers are separate race category and they are their own race. The fact that it is being discussed is the proof. Their distinctive phenotype features are of the evidence of that. It is a fact and not an opinion.
We habesha are mainly of Cushitic origin + some additional west asian component. Majority of The horn of Africa are Cushites or have cushitic origin. The second largest group are habeshas which I explained earlier and lastly Nilotic people who are also closer related to cushites. Cushites were actually the original people of East Africa, then later Nilotic people migrated and this occured before Bantu people migrated assimulating majority of the southern cushites below us. You can find this because majority of East African Bantus have non-Bantu maternal haplogroups and yet have the same Y dna haplogroup E1b1b (meaning non-Bantu people men living there didn't get to intermix and only the women did) which from a genetic standpoint is very strange. The remaining population of Sub-Saharans are mainly Bantus and West Africans. We have little relationship with them. We are like 40,000-45,000 years removed in terms of seperation genetically. They also have archiac homonid ghost dna which we are missing (ranging 2%-19% depending on ethnic group) and we have some additional eurasian from ancient migrations (natufian input) and very minor neanderthal dna (0-0.5%). Our SNPs are also arranged differently even prior to ancient migrations into the region and our haplogroups are manly E1b1b while theirs is E1b1a. Our languages are primarily from 2 different families either from the Afro-Asiatic family and Nilo-Saharan family while both of them share from the same language family Niger-Congo which has two branches A and B (A=West African languages, B = Bantu languages). Bantu and West Africans push pan-africanism the most because it's to their own personal benefit and personal agenda so it's obvious it will be something they will be comfortably to encourage considering they make up the majority of the continent while we make up the minority, I'm sure if Cushites or any other African ethnic group was majority instead they would be against it and would wish to remain insular in order to retain their identity/communities. It's obvious but in most cases when you are the majority you will always feel more comfortable pushing others to assimulate, integrate and conform your bigger group since you can dominate them by sheer numbers asking them to essentiallyleave their language, culture, religion, values, beliefs behind in favour for their own since you won't have to change essentially (you get to pull instead of being tugged). There is another layer to this as well, It has to do with the recessive nature of our genes since when we have children with other groups our children look end up nothing like us which leads to ostracization of their children & identity issues which leads to many mixed children just abandoning/hating their culture/people essentially out of resentment or having image issues, essentially intermixing will only deteriorate our ancient roots/lineage further and this is unfortunate I wish for our people to remain looking the same imagine being a child looking at your ancient paintings & then later them asking you confused "why do these people look so different? Mum they look kind of wierd" a future like this It worries me . It's the same thing when it comes to Arabs and White people as well, since our children end up looking almost completely white I don't want that either. My point is I want the habesha identity to actually survive in the future. it seems like every community is very invested in snuffing us out and this is targetted towards the horn region alot. I don't mind intermixed couples, but I don't want it to be the norm for our community and for it to be preffered over actually dating our own & advancing our communities. I have mixed relatives as well within my own family and I love them to death but anyways you get my point.
Personally I admire Ethiopian people for dating and marrying other Ethiopians natural connection; by doing so it maintain communial strength and unity. I see absolutely nothing wrong with that being done as well as surprised that it's even questioned perhapes a jealousy behind those questioning. Desiring to be only with your own for dating and marriage I don't see it as having a non appreciation or dislike for other people but rather a satisfaction of one's people; (nothing more.) I feel that some people just make more out of it than need be.
Thank you for sharing your thoughts. I very much agree with you. It's more about staying in the culture they are from rather than disliking ethnicities. If you look at most immigrant communities, they tend to stay within their community. Ethiopians are no different. :)
@@stansmith7445 Yes, it *is (cultural) but my meaning using the word (Natural) is that it is a natural (cultural practice) of a thing to do. Us as Black Americans need to stop seeking validation from other ethnic groups of people & learn to love ourselves as well as the culture we’ve created in America 🤷🏾♂️. If we did that we wouldn’t have to worry about discrimination from other groups of people because we simply wouldn’t care 🤷🏾♂️. Also we need to embrace the fact that we’re descendants of west & central Africa, almost 9 times out of 10 Black people from other ethnic groups & from other regions throughout Africa will discriminate because they want to be with their own which is fair I guess.
But what is there to love? Many black people have lost their morals...they think Meg the Stallion and lil Wayne are music...when they get in places of authority or upward mobility they forsake the community and become prideful. There tons of channels cutting black women down as they don't love their own. They depend on the government even though the government is trying to keep them dumb and dependent. Everything is about their blackness and not their character. You've taken up the mentality of the very people you say oppress you, you refuse to forgive and you refuse to accept responsibility for your own actions. Nope.

This is why it's important to make sure she knows you share her disdain for the stereotypical aspects of AA culture (which unfortunately tends toward tackiness, trashiness, and violence). They want nothing to do with it and we high-minded AA men shouldn't either.
They heard bad about you that you don't value family, you don't raise your children, you don't appreciate your dark skinned women, You are loud but not proud who you are.
I have heard that 'Bantu' Ethopians are discriminated against in Ethopian. And having seen some comments online by some Ethopians and Somalis I realised some of you don't consider yourself black and looked down at 'bantu blacks' as I kept hearing them say. It was quite disappointing to see.
A few people on the Internet don't represent the majority or anyone in irl. If you meet them in real life you will see that all those comments are just Internet noise in echo Chambers.
There are no Bantu ethnic groups in Ethiopia. Most of the Ethiopian population are from Cushitic (including Omotic-speaking and Ethiosemitic-speaking peoples) and Nilo-Saharan peoples. There aren't any Bantu or Niger-Congo ethnic groups in Ethiopia while there are some in Somalia like the Somali Bantu who are descended from enslaved Southeast Africans.

Well a lot of the Ethiopians that reside in America have a strong culture behind them and let's be honest a lot of people aren't willing to take the time to learn you have to really show an interest in their culture. People have to understand that cultural differences very strong oh and yeah Ethiopians are Africans I don't like the term black or white but they would be considered black Africans so the proper way instead of saying Ethiopians don't date Black guys a saying that Ethiopians may not understand African American guys which is a different cultural group but they both are Africans.
When you marry someone you marry their family. What’s most important for long term success is the ability of the family to see the good in the partnership.

It’s definitely a valid conversation. What most immigrants seem to forget is that native Americans are not immigrants so we don’t have their mentality. Imagine if we being in your native country and we came as immigrants and separated ourselves. You’d probably wonder too. It’s more curiosity than anything. So it’s a valid conversation to have. Why do we have to make videos like this and explain ourselves to desperate men of other communities? A normal person shouldn’t become aggressive and/or upset over another ethnicity of women preferring their own or complaining “why don’t they date us blah blah.” I have no idea why some habesha girls born in the west feel the need to pander to these other communities of men with these types of videos. I personally have only dealt with Ethiopian women on two different occasions and it was business related. So I can't speak on anything related to dating. Now as far as professionally I can say that they are extremely trustworthy and keep their word.
Selam sis, just come across your video. You've pretty much hit the nail on the head. Us Somalis and Ethiopian/Eritreans stick to our own. We're attracted to what looks like us. Wouldn't mind an Arab if I happen to like and get on with one. 🇸🇴🇪🇹🇪🇷
@ZARA Moreira Huh? I'm AA and I definitely respect that. I also feel the same way about my ethnicity and the majority of AA men do too, believe it or not. It's very good for you, nothing is better than sticking to your own. I am habesha and I proud of you Somalis you always stick to your own. African Americans are self haters who don't value themselves.
Something most Americans, white and black don't understand about Africans, is that Africans are not preoccupied with color. Africans are more influenced by traditions than race. Africans are very weary of liberal culture. They lean towards conservative beliefs because they feel they are more likely to foster family.
I don't care if I get turned down by Ethiopians Eritrean Somali I just don't care I keep shooting my shot sometimes I have good luck sometimes I'm embarrassed
Exactly. Some african women will date african american men some won't. It is what it is. All you can do as a black man is have yourself together and be respectful. My friend was a motivated, thoughtful and respectful person. She made me a better person. Unfortunately, she had to return home for family reasons. It took me a long time to get over her and to this day she still says hello during the holidays. What I got from your video, is that we should not judge people with a broad brush. Best wishes.

Interesting, I never thought of it as impatient. But I can see how lacking the sensitivity or lacking to understand the culture and adapt in a way that would be more accepting is sometimes a barrier to Americans trying to approach Ethiopians.

Hi Nelson, are you asking if habesha girls are telling the truth when they say they don't date outside their culture? I would say the majority of habesha women prefer to date within their own culture, but if they grew up in another country (like America) I think having common interests and upbringing with someone is more important than a person's ethnicity. For those women who prefer habesha men, they are just attracted to those that are more similar to them in background.
As a habesha woman I think other habesha women in general prefers habesha men regardless of where we grew up. But generally we also tend to go for white or arabic men before non habesha black men to be honest
@@benim4449 Thank you Betty. I respect your opinion and I don't necessarily disagree with you. Habesha or not you all come from Adem 🤷🏼♂️… so
We habesha are mainly of Cushitic origin + some additional west asian component.

FAIR ENOUGH.
But what is there to love? I am a West African in the DC area and I had a lot of Ethiopian friends in college. Coolest people I have ever met (they did smoke a lot of weed though LOL). My brother who is a doctor has been married to an Ethiopian girl for 10 years. He is light-skinned and can pass for Ethiopian at family reunions. Her family really loves him. They are very high achievers (3 doctors and 1 pilot in her family) and they just don't want bums in their families. If you are a hard-working, open-minded, and respectful person, most likely you would be very welcome. There are always exceptions but overall they are good people

And these types of african americans also have to remember that sometimes these people are the ones who reject african american women. Cause they are too « dark ». They have to be proud of their woman before attacking habesha people by saying that we stay in our culture. Cause we are proud of our culture that’s why we stay in our culture y’all should also consider doing the same
Colorism is still a very big problem in America (ref. women are too dark). However, I think we have to be sensitive and aware of the historic and systemic pain and trauma that African Americans have endured in this country that many East Africans (Ethiopians, Eritreans, and Somalians) did not have to unfortunately experience so let's not rub that in others' faces. We have a specific culture that we can point to that is ours, and that is a privilege that many African Americans do not have the same liberty. I think black men like habesha women mainly for superficial reasons. The silky hair "good hair" the lighter complexion, European features nose, sleek face, and the icing on the cake that West African booty. So a lot of habesha women know this and never settle for less outside of their culture.
I understand your point, but please do not call women thots or hoes. Women have the freedom to do as they please just like so many men do in this world. As I mentioned in my video, in my opinion, habesha women tend to be more conservative (in relationships and religion) than other cultures. It is in quotes for a reason. What's your deal?
@@LilaTalks My problem I think its alarming that they claim they can't get attention from one, how stuck up we are, and that does nothing to stop their pursuit. Makes them sound kinda sketchy and shallow and very uninformed about us. We don't date like here, it's with intention to marry.

Thank you, Abraham. I really appreciate it!
We never mix with others ! Stop to say we are black we are not we are habesha and it is for this reason no habesha woman or man marry out
The women definitely marry out. They marry lots of white men. Don’t lie to yourself.
I am a Black man from America. I'm going to Ethiopia next month. My Ethiopian friend told me NOT to date a Ethiopian girl because the men would chop my head off or try to kill me. Is this true?🤔
Go find out and see lol

Why do we have to make videos like this and explain ourselves to desperate men of other communities? A normal person shouldn’t become aggressive and/or upset over another ethnicity of women preferring their own or complaining “why don’t they date us blah blah.” I have no idea why some habesha girls born in the west feel the need to pander to these other communities of men with these types of videos. It’s cringe.
I for one would only date only Somali or Habasha (Muslim) as I see beauty in my people and would like my offspring to look like me. Wouldn't mind an Arab if I happen to like and get on with one. 🇸🇴🇪🇹🇪🇷

Asslam o Allikum, how can i contact you? I am from Pakistan 🙂
@ZARA Moreira Huh? I'm AA and I definitely respect that. I also feel the same way about my ethnicity and the majority of AA men do too, believe it or not. There's just a very loud MINORITY of AA men who chase after everything else, but please don't let them make you think any different. Most of us have never met nor heard of Ethiopian/Horn women.
@@blm2503 no lies, they are acting like most AA men are just on the hunt for them or something. Most wouldn’t know what Habesha is to begin with
It's very good for you, nothing is better than sticking to your own.
Whoever dates you would be a lucky man all I'm going to say lol 🤝🏼
haha, thank you! I appreciate the comment.

Exactly. Some african women will date african american men some won't. It is what it is. All you can do as a black man is have yourself together and be respectful. Goal is to be that black man that is desired by women of all races/ethnicities. Look at Denzel, Idris Elba, Michael Ealy. Even if they weren't celebrities they could go anywhere and have luck with women. Attractive is attractive.
Thanks for the video, it was much needed. I periodically run into people with a misunderstanding of Ethiopian people. While at university I dated a Habesha woman. My friend was a motivated, thoughtful and respectful person. She made me a better person. Unfortunately, she had to return home for family reasons. It took me a long time to get over her and to this day she still says hello during the holidays. What I got from your video, is that we should not judge people with a broad brush. Best wishes.
Good video though. I have subscribed
Awesome! Thank you so much!
Im habesha and i was adopted by italian parents at the age of 8 i dont know why but since than i’ve always avoided dating black girls in general since my whole family and friends were white i started having this preconcived notions about black girls but with time i noticed that my ideas where just molded by my environment now at the age of 24 i’ve come across so many habesha girls that i started to appreciate their cute facial feautures
That’s sad i feel sorry for you, make sure to atleast love who you are.
You are white wash not your fault though
The most beautiful black women on the planet: Ethiopian!
Masha was Hebrew but even the Most High allowed him to take an interracial marriage wedding an Ethiopian. 😳
Hebrews are likened to Ethiopians too according to the Bible. 😍
As an AA man dating an Ethiopian woman to many black men are impatient and lack the sensitivity needed to approach closed knit cultures like yours
Interesting, I never thought of it as impatient. But I can see how lacking the sensitivity or lacking to understand the culture and adapt in a way that would be more accepting is sometimes a barrier to Americans trying to approach Ethiopians.
Excellent 👌 Work
Thank you! I appreciate you commenting on the video!
Every groups usually drifts and drafts more towards there own so yeah

I met a Ethiopian loves the way she smiles at me 😍 she’s so beautiful frfr she knows I like her too but she’s taken so I fell back , with that being said I’ve been interested in Ethiopian women ever since 😍
The more you learn and understand the culture, the more you'll be able to connect with people from Ethiopia. Wishing you well.

Respect to Haitians💯 warrior people like us
Luv this topic I think the whole Ethiopia has most beauty on globe and strongest culture can't lie but the barrier is just as strong lol Habesha women are amazing
The habesha girls I meet tell me they don't date out
Are they just saying that?
Hi Nelson, are you asking if habesha girls are telling the truth when they say they don't date outside their culture? I would say the majority of habesha women prefer to date within their own culture, but if they grew up in another country (like America) I think having common interests and upbringing with someone is more important than a person's ethnicity. For those women who prefer habesha men, they are just attracted to those that are more similar to them in background.
As a habesha woman I think other habesha women in general prefers habesha men regardless of where we grew up. But generally we also tend to go for white or arabic men before non habesha black men to be honest
@@benim4449 white or Arabic?? A people we share no kinship with. Stop aligning ourselves with people who think nothing of us
@RALHNE why are you policing someone's preference? Worry about yourself.
@@benim4449 Thank you Betty. I respect your opinion and I don't necessarily disagree with you. In my video, I mentioned that Habesha women would more likely perfect Habesha men due to various reasons. Now, to say they would go for a white person over a non-habesha might be true. I haven't observed that in my family and friend circle. Arab men yes, because many people I knew either lived in the middle east, speak Arabic, and maybe for religious or other reasons connect more with Arab men. Thanks for your comment.
Well explained...
I appreciate that Haben. Thank you for your support!
Lets keep it real Ethiopians we don't consider ourselves as black only the rebellious girls date outside their race. My father would disown my sister if she brought home an African American.
It's funny you said that because i feel the same way. If my son brought home an Ethiopia I would not disown him but he would know im not pleased
@@rosetta4880 And what if it was your daughter would be okay with that?
@@GeneralKomsa okay with what? I can't live my daughter life for her. Her happiness is my happiness. She could marry someone of her own and be miserable as hell. My parents didn't pick for me they let me choose my life

@@LilaTalks because children will take their fathers name, tribe and nationality. Besides Habeshas look is dynamic. Some kids who look like AA or west African come nd tell us they Habeshas. No they are not. THEY WILL TAKE THEIR FATHERS AS IT'S CONVENTION! They will never be Habeshas.

Stop eith that bro, when you say Ethiopian everyone knows you dont mean all Ethiopians. You're talking about women like this one, light skinned with biracial looking features, it all goes back to wanting a lightskin women. Just because she's African and the lightskin women are american it doesn't change that fact. Ethiopian women don't all look like this, some are the darkest tones, the kinkiest hair, the widest noses, stop assuming all Ethiopians look like this
Opinions are like b*tth🕳les everyone has 1!
@Afilas Abraha dont generalize all horn Africans, many horners dont look like this woman
Mixed! African they are, but not indigenous. Check out Nuer , Oromo, Dozer etc... the Amharas would want you to think that all of Abassinia/ Ethiopia is all Habesha.
It seems like they will date white men over American Black man what did the traditional or Americanized
Interesting observation. I am biased because most of my friends have dated/married people of color over white men, but my friends were born and raised in the States. I wouldn't be surprised if more habesha women born back home have slightly different preferences in dating outside their ethnicity with white men.
Guess what? African American men would date an Asian or white woman over an Ethiopian 😂
