It looks nice. I would never use the scuffpad on the cylinder wall. It is a honed surface, And I always lube the cylinder wall, the piston rings, the bearings of the conrod and the crankshaft bearings. Also a ggod idea to add a tiny bit of silicone grease to the seald and O-rings when you install them. I like to turn the crank a few times by hand and wipe the access oil is added, and add some back. Usually the oil I wipe down is nasty even the parts are spotless, so I repeat it a few times. That way the parts are oiled up on the first start, and as clean as they can get. It will smoke a lil' for sure, but I never had a problem with a few minutes of smoking at the first start. And you did a lil too much heat on the exhaust.
Thanks for the advice. I missed it in the text but I have a good method to apply just the right amount. I use a clean cloth/rag, ligthly dipped the middle of it in the oil I will use in the premix(I'm not a big fan of assembly lube etc, the 2t oil is designed to be used there), and i apply a thin layer with the cloth. This method is great because all it needs is a clean rag, and some paitence. And there is not so much wasted oil if you dont soak the rag, Actually all it needs is a few ml.
