The subscription box model is such a useful one. I definitely recommend it for all home fragrance brands ❤

Thank you for such a great video, Paul! I have been thinking about subscription boxes for months now but my concern is to be repetitive: I don't have a huge range of candle fragrances. I appreciate that a customer may also just want a top up of their favourite scent, thus sticking to one or two. But how do I overcome this concern? I suppose the customers will know in advance that I have a limited range (so far 9 scents).

No problem. If you're not planning on releasing new scents, or certainly enough to keep up with a subscription box, then you could introduce other products or partner up with other brands which compliment your products. So, your monthly box could include a couple of your products, with a high quality chocolate bar from a local producer, some fluffy sock and bubble bath and could be themed as a 'relaxation box'. Then the following month you could have a different theme.

I’ve had a subscription box for years now, but with the cost of living I’m finding some customers are cancelling. What’s the best way to try and encourage others to subscribe

It's difficult. But it's about building a loyal audience. People aren't going to subscribe who have never heard of you before, so I'd recommend having a really great offer on one-off products running, and then have follow up campaigns to encourage customers who have already tried your products to subscribe. That will have a higher success rate and lower churn than going for brand new customers each time.

@@homefragranceacademy thank you, I do have an offer on sub box so it’s generated a few more. I have sign up and after 3 months get your 4th month for £5. So would I be better doing an offer a different way for new customers?

@@littleideaswithlovesparkly2060 Do you have other products on your website which people can buy? If so, then run an offer on those to get people to place orders for one-off products as they require less commitment from the customer. Then, when someone buys that offer send them an automatic email 10 days later with your sub box offer. That way they have already tried your products and are much more likely to sign up to your sub box.
