Chuy, your video had the crucial detail of running the cam crank relearn after installation, something I did not find in the other videos, I thank you.
Chuy! Hah hah, this video was perfect for me. I have a '17 Journey, stalling out on highway. Sputtering when trying to restart. When to auto store - crankshaft position sensor circuit fault. Got the sensor, had no idea where is was. Your video cleared everything up for me.
On this 2.4 engine it is. If you have a 3.6 it’s in a different location. I’m sorry for the confusion. When I made this video I forgot to label the engine
Lmao no. That is 100% the cam sensor youre changing in this video. The crank sensor on BOTH the 2.4 and the 3.6 is located just above the oil pan on the back of the engine. @chuythemobilemechanic
I just did it this morning at 10:00 am, temp around a 100 degrees. I worked from under the car, used my ramps. It went fairly easy. Going from the top of engine you chance breaking stuff more. Great video !!. You gave me the courage to jump on it.
@@chuythemobilemechanic Hello Chuy, shortly after the replacmeent I got a second code for intermittant, so I replaced some wire and all is good though today I got another code to deal with PO750, so life goes on, blessings sir
Bro I have a 2015 Dodge journey 3.6 AND STILL CANT FIND IT🤯😤 I'm under passenger side shining light everywhere even looking behind heat shields but I don't see it please help fellas.
@@sealedsecure3754 can you use that thermostat? As a reference. And this is a four cylinder. Is your the v6? Can I ask what’s your car doing for you to need to change it. I have a 2015 journey and it’s just stalls whenever but then it’ll run fine then it might not.
I'm having a hard time getting to my crankshaft sensor I have a 2011 Dodge Journey Mainstream 3.6 I have it all torn down but I can't touch the sensor what am I doing wrong ?
Try getting it from the bottom. There seems to be alot of space behind the engine so you should have a better angle from the bottom. Just lift it up with a jack and make sure you use jackstand for safety. There’s two sensors back there so make sure you have the right one
How the hell do you put a crankshaft sensor in the camshaft hole that's not the crankshaft dude unless that's a different like the 3.6 that's not where the crankshaft goes the crankshaft is at the bottom of the f****** engine where you actually have to pull the metal plate just to get to it

The classic P335 code, thanks for the video
What do you do then you don't have the recalibration machine???
Hi does the same thing apply to a 2010 ?
Thabk you
He’s right it’s the crankshaft hole 2.4 ingine
What if you get P0366?
So are working from the bottom and the top of the engine. Could you be mote specific.
Thanks
He did both
I just wanted to know what the car was doing? for you to have to change it? Thanks for the video Chuy
Car stalling when in idle. Rough idle, eng feels off when driving and if you have a journey you get the code PO335
For anyone confused this is the 2.4
What did you remove from back of engine before you started
Heat shield

Bro 2015 dodge journey AWD you have to take off cv axle and transfer case and part of exhaust to get at it. Horrible. Just did it
replace sensor, and start car.. if runs and no issues then it doesnt need to be programmed!
which engine is this? thanks!
2.4 liter vvt 4 cyl. Dodge journey sxt, se.............
What code did you get
Should be a P0335
What code did you get to lead you into this sensor?
P0335
2wd are easy, AWD is hell to replace...
I see u can’t even get to it im tryna find the mfka lol
Is lot easier from under the car
So what exactly do you need to do to takeoff the camshaft position sensor from underneath. 🙏🏼
Help i dont undrstand how to do this

It shuts off. The code as well will tell you

It's on the bottom of the engine. By the Bell housing. That's not a "camshaft" hole.
You didn’t show us anything other than where it is. You didn’t show how to move the lines or where to move them.
You changed the camshaft position sensor not the crankshaft position sensor
No he didnt
Might be a good video if your weren't directly in the fucking way for half of it
