- The Accord has one been one of Honda's best selling vehicles of all time. On the outside of the Accord Sport you will discover 19in wheels, standard sunroof and trunk lid spoiler. On the interior you will be greeted by cloth seats and a 12.3in infotainment screen. Under the hood is a 2.0L inline-4 hybrid that produces 204HP. Is the Honda Accord the BETTER new midsize sedan to BUY than a Toyota Camry?

I wasn't sure about the look at first, but it's mature stylishness has since won me over. Had mine for about 3 weeks now and I LOVE it.
What color did you get ? I like the urban😊 grey
Yeah, me too. That's the one I went with.
@@elkadir70 awesome did you tint it ? I plan on tinting mines
I love this car! Wish I could afford newer accord.
I didn't fall in love with it immediately, but like many Honda designs, they grow on me.
i love how people keep talking crap about this online but the compliments that i get with car is non-stop. it's a matured looking car
Don't listen !
same here. looks very upmarket, if they called it something else i bet everyone would have loved it.
New gen looks amazing, and like it was made for adults.
Last gen already looks like a goofy and dated kid's toy with those big red crab-claw tail lights, and curvey front facia we've been seeing for over a decade now.
Looks good in person. Like you said matured. Simple classy look
My neighbor has this Honda Taurus also.
Pics and videos dont do it justice. I hated the design at first but when I saw it in person, I thought it was nice. I ended up getting a black sports trim and now I LOVE it. Definitely grew on me!
I was the same. I didn’t really care for the look at first either. But, it’s grown on me. It looks way better in person, for whatever reason. Kind of gives off Audi vibes. I like the simplistic, mature look. I’ll be purchasing a Touring trim this year and will be adding a spoiler to it, to give it a touch of sportiness on an overall refined looking car.
Same, I remember going to the dealer to test drive a lease return 2021 2.0T sport but I saw the 11th and fell in love. It was a bit more expensive but the fuel savings cancels that out.
Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder.
so true, you have to see it in person.

I'm completely confused that some people actually think that this car is ugly... One of the most beautifull cars on the market. Fans of minimalism like myself would appreciate.
It's just plain and boring . It looks like Ford Taurus, nope for me
10th Gen 2.0T checks all the boxes for me. I love mine and probably will never get rid of it. 2020 and still looks brand new
I own a 10th gen as well,2018 2.0t sport and the car still drives and looks very good even after 6 years.Honda nailed it perfectly with the 10 gen;light, spacious, decent fast(with the 2.0t 10 at) and comfortable.
Same I have the 2021 2.0 and my dealer even said keep it. He said the hybrid sport is just not the same. The 2.0 is a treasure.
What most people don't realize an accord sport touring is a detuned type r. Same 2.0t. same turbo. But hondata could get you those 50hp that you're missing
Same, with a stage 3 tune it's great.
Ditto, brother. Not happy at ALL with the styling of the 11th Gen, inside and out. The cost-cutting is so obvious, inside and out. Gonna probably keep my 10th Gen until the wheels fall off.
21:42 Congrats Steven!!! Thanks for your hard work! ❤️

I love my 2020 Honda accord…I don’t know what Honda was thinking with this 🤦🏾♂️ huge step back in my opinion
10th Gen is the last gen. You have the final Accord made by people that remember the past. Completely new company now.
100%
@@SleeperHonda what does this mean? asking as someone who isn't well versed in the day to day of the automakers
I been watching your channel for a year now and I can’t remember ever being so revulsed by a car 🤢. Luckily 2025 Camry looks amazing.
@@helloworld-bp8fuyou worried about looks that will be your downfall people like you hate on the Honda and kiss ass of the camry and never get either
I have this car. I think its great. Truly been a blessing. I think every car has some drawbacks here or there or a few "I wish they would have" but at the end of the day great car. Extremely happy with it. Family enjoys it.
I believe it is overall a pretty great looking car, but the front bumper/grille in particular is just something I cant bring myself to love
I have a '24 EX-L... and I love this car. Consistently getting 50-52 mpg in mixed driving.
I've read somewhere that it does not get near the EPA estimates. Has you experience really been consistent? I know Honda and Toyota use different hybrid systems so i'm a bit torn onto which one I should get.
@@jafaarjafaar - I've had the EX-L since mid November 2023. Worst mpg I've seen was 49 and that was 95% highway at 70 mph. I always manually figure the mpg as I fill up.
Not sure about Toyota - since I've never owned one.
@@jafaarjafaar I have the '23 Touring. In 7400 miles, I can say it DOES get the mileage of the EPA estimate. I am at 43.3 mpg. Roughly 60% highway, 40% city. I was at 46.3 before I drove from WI to FL. Speeds over 70 or so, really drops this cars fuel economy, as does cold weather and headwinds. Toyota's system is more efficient than the Accord at highway speeds according to most reputable reviewers and owners. Drive them both. You may prefer the way the Honda drives, and for that you will give up some highway mpg. And if you really want to squeeze MPG out of the Accord, get a hybrid model with the 17" wheels and tires.
@marksimonds13 @@stevehoppenjan thanks a bunch, that does help. I'm going to test drive both the new camry and the 2024 accord sport hybrid and see where I end up. We have slightly different trims in the Canada, but I think the sport in canada is in between the EX-L and Touring in the US
I bought the 2023 touring Accord and love it. Test drove the camary at same time and the accord drove so much better (smoother). I love the design, more so cause it comes across so much more classier than the camary, with being a little sporty, the right touch for me. The only thing is I wish it would be mentioned, in colder weather city mpg's drop to like 26 mpg, with the hybrid , while highway still does 43 mpg. Have not seen anybody make mention of this for any reviews done on hybrids. Other then not being made aware of this I 100% love the car.
That is not my experience with the same car and I live in Wisconsin! Yes, city in winter mileage definitely drops, but to nowhere near 26. Now, if your trips are only a few miles during the winter, that is a different story. Engine spins to heat the cabin and get ICE up to temperature. Do you have in ECO mode and use regenerative braking as much as possible?
I got the same one love it so far great gas mileage very smooth I’m not sure what’s the hate about the style this is my first Honda it looks amazing
People really need to see this car in person. It's actually really nice and almost looks retro in the back. I would definitely not get this trim though and would opt for the EXL
Yeah I've seen it in person, as well as the previous two generations. Honda dropped the ball
I saw a black one the other day , I was like damm
It looks definitely nice when you see the car in person. Sometimes cars have to grow on you.
@@fusrodahing1993dropped your ball maybe but not the masses
Why the ex-l
The design team couldn't wait to be off work for the day. This car is painfully boring to look at. And the Honda logo in the back is so small it's almost like the car isn't proud to announce itself.
Right? The little H makes it look like a car from the 90s
I think the 2018, Accord looked a lot better with the 2.0 turbo that put out almost 270 hp
Finally a small emblem. Not getting paid to sponsor Honda.
Definitely the last gen was so much better
Car looks older than my 2012 Camry 🤷
I have a 2021 accord sport 2.0 and love it... love the power. Saw this new accord and was like oh no.... then i was waiting to see what the new 2.0 would look like just to find out there isn't one. So Honda blew it this gen. Even my dealer was "like i don't know, you may want to keep your 2.0 or sacrifice alot of power and torque."
I got one to. And my dealer said the same. Love this car. Ride on my friend.
I have the 2018 Camry XSE white pearl red interior glass roof...sorry Honda missed the mark and the new Camry is growing on me and yet I would still choose the 2025 Camry over this Honda
I have a 2024. I love it! My first Accord!
That is so fantastic to hear! Congrats!
What color did you get?
Great review! Believe it or not, out of the many years I've been watching your videos and being a certified Raiti's Rides "family member", this is the first time I've EVER left a comment. Because I've researched this car extensively, here's my counterpoint on your "zonks": 1) The higher trims on this hybrid DO give you the connectivity in the back seat-- with 2 additional USB ports. 3/4 of the trims give you that. This one, being the cheapest of the four, does not. 2) Not having vents in the back is a reasonable complaint considering you live in Florida, but many of us live in the northern states where that isn't much of an issue. 3) This hybrid is still relatively new, so it could be there will be more variety with the engine choices in the future, offering a more powerful horsepower on the highest trims-- heck, even maybe coming out with a Type R version. 4) Zero to sixty in 6.5 seconds is not bad considering the price of this car!!! Also, where this car really shines is the roadholding, which scored .90 or so in Car and Driver's test-- again, not bad considering the price of this car. I'm sure if you took this car into the rural "twisty bits", you'd likely see that this car handles very well at high speeds-- let's hope your next video on this car is done out in the rural area absent of those dopey Tampa drivers. Otherwise, I'm satisfied with this review! (much more lively this time than your 2023 version!). Hopefully I'll see your review of the BMW I4 or I5 soon (I wrote to you previously with this recommendation). I'll see you on the next ride!
I like the Accord! Not bad looking. And 5:40, I’d like to see a dual slash-cut exhaust, like how the Dodge Charger used to have, or maybe a quad-tip which would look sick! Anything would be fine with me. And about the MPG’s, it’s a massive plus! When comparing this to the Camry, I personally think the Accord is better in terms of the fuel mileage, so I’d definitely take this even though I’m more of a Toyota fan than Honda!
“I’ll make sure not to bust my cream all over the interior” LOL
I KNEW I WASNT THE ONLY ONE WHO HEARD THAT🤣🤣🤣
I laughed so hard at that 😂
“ while in doing that get your but over hear” lol 😂
The styling on last version was better….this is very 🥱
I like the Camry better.
Thanks Joe ! And congrats to The flood man
Previous gen looked waayyy better. This looks like an Impala
@@IronMan-ds5bi Bingo, you nailed it right on. I couldn't figure out which car it looked like until you said Impala.
Why are they changing it so suddenly, the new style Honda had before this grew on me. This style is atrocious
Not a whole lot of love for this car in the comments, but people will buy it regardless because they trust the brand.
Previous generation definitely looks a lot better
I watch your content to make my English learning more enjoyable... Your contents are better than watching other English soap operas for car lovers like me. Thank you so much
An AWD Accord would be a nice option
With a manuel
it'll never happen, because Acura.
I have 10th gen 2.0, 2022, an awesome car. One of the best i ever had.
Over all its a nice car, i know lots of them complaining about what they should add in the interior plus not having AWD etc..but the only and main reason people are buying it because of simply MPGS, it saves lots of cash from fuel perspective
I just bought this car exact color great car!
I think it’s important to note that none of these hybrids get the gas mileage they claim unless you’re driving in Eco mode and you have super slow accelerations. If you have your hybrid and you’re driving in Sport mode all the time then you’re going to get 25-28MPG
The look grew on me big time … love it
The lack of AC vents and USB's in the rear is a detractor to me. My car Accord 2021 Sport 1.5T has USB's and has been very useful. Very big fail there.
Not crazy about the style I like the previous style better, need all wheel drive especially up in the north east big zonk. Great review Joe!!
You are not the first to say that!
I am not liking the styling at all. The front of the car looks like it is too long and very elongated from the body of the car. The grill seems like it is too large for the rest of the car. The back of the car seems to just get too small for the front.
They managed to make the accord front look uglier than the 2021 version. Outstanding 😂😂😂, shits gross, the 2021 version grew on me at least, but this won’t 🤢
At first wasn't sure about the new look but after washing it got a real close look it grew on me it's not sporty as the previous model I feel it more elegant
@@AuraFarmerWitShotgunna it looks pretty nice to me
I love my 2021 Honda accord 2.0 T. So sad they got rid of it but I’m always keeping this.
I love the front, I love the rear, but they make me feel like I'm looking at a different car from each angle. And the body lines are so boring, they clearly pushed extra hard for that executive look. The interior is still a nice space to be in, but like others have said the ex-l is the best bang for your buck trim.
In my opinion I feel like the camry took a similar approach albeit to a lesser extent. It still looks less sporty, and the new grill is awful no matter what trim you look at it in, but it still retains familiarity, unlike the accord.
I don't like the changes to 'look' in the front. I loved the older headlights and grill much better. The wheels looks simpler too. Not sure I'm in love with those wheels. You'll be more invisible with this model if that's what you want. Go back 2-3 years and you stand out. I miss the stapler brake lights. With aftermarket back lights you really can look great with the staplers. I do agree with your thoughts on the emblem set on the rear though. I used to have a 22 2.0t and the MPG's are amazing on this 2024. Wire mesh inside is awesome. I wish that was on the 22.
Man silver and black color scheme makes every car look so freakin good
Unfortunately, not this one.
im really waitng for 2025 camry fully loaded to released so i can be the first one to own it.
Accord sales have been down several thousand units per month the last year, and it's not all due to parts shortages. I think a lot of people are still disappointed with the styling and won't buy it. Honda will need to do a refresh by 2025 or the Accord may sink in sales the point that Honda may consider dropping it. Civics are outselling Accords by 3000-5000 per month. Redo the front design, Honda. Great job to Joe and Stephen for another great review!
It's the cost! Everything is expensive, people cutting back. The civic is bigger now also.
And no matter what you think about styling, unfortunately (because I actually like the looks of this better) the Camry comes packed with more features for the same price. Honda has to up their game as far as what they're offering and quit holding back on the consumer.
I think is step back from Accord! Especially is about engine and the design. I am very disappointed HONDA☹️
Thanks Joe for the honest review on this new Accord. I for one am not a fan of this new generation The poor styling on the exterior especially the front end, very cheap looking. Also the lack of the rear AC vents, what were they thinking? The only thing I like is the new dash and the infotainment screen but thats it. Also the lack of the 2.0T and 10 speed is huge disappointment.
Love my 24 Accord Sport in all black. All you haters can get lost. This car is sooo good and well designed.
Exactly. The design is great and not too overdone. The design is mature yet sporty and the rear taillight design is somewhat retro.
The same individuals that complain about this Accord probably drive boring SUVs 😂
@@upbeattvraw-hiphop8242 it’s a grown man’s accord. Only the kids are crying about the design.
Was in the market for an Accord and opted for a used 10th Gen instead. I thought seeing this 11th Gen Accord in person would win me over but absolutely not. I loved the interior but in case anyone is curious, if you hate the design on a screen, you will also hate it in person lol it just looks super awkward from every angle
I so miss the 2020 Sport/Touring 2.0T 4 cylinder with that awesome acceleration!! How sad that this is gone. Ugh
I love the all New Honda Accord Sport & even though it looks good & I feel like this is the Apostle to the Midsize Sedans. Now yes, it's not all wheel drive on any trim but looks.
I feel like if this car came out in 2018, it would be one of the hottest cars in the market. Now, cars are matching that MPG, with a better design, updated specs, and higher performance. Low HP, the lack of AWD, no sunroof, and lack of overall technology is just unacceptable. Like always, I do have to give Honda props for the cabin
Excellent points to point out Phil.
Yes of course Joe & this is my new first car.
Still lying.
Thanks for the great review, what is your opinion on the silver color, does it look nice or do you prefer another color on this car?
love my 2019 sport 2.0. Honda took a step back with the new body style
Not gonna lie this car drives super good like a carpet . Don’t judge a book by its cover
no doubt a good driver,,,,,but the styling is kinda surprising,,,,,that front end to me is unhonda-ish,,,,would'nt be enough for me not to buy though
Sorry but looks are really important for me when I buying a car
Previous accord sport is way better looking i have a 2019 sport on coilovers and its an absolute charm
Enjoyed the backstory of the cannolis and you being from the great state of NY. Agreed a zonk for no all-wheel drive option and no dual exhaust in a "Sport" model. An Accord is always a solid choice, however so is a Camry, may be worth waiting for the Camry if that's your thing. Additionally dealer installed pinstripes went out in the '90's.
Thanks for letting me share it with you! I totally agree about the pinstripes.
Brooklyn ny I’m from Bergen beach I noticed the accent and the body language you the man!
Currently driving the 10th gen and most definitely that is the better looking one. Not hating on the current gen tho. There are some days I'll look at the current one and I can appreciate it but nothing compared to the previous gen. That 10th gen is still sexy af and catches my eye.
Kill me now. Thank god I still have my 2017 accord v6
I have mines as well 😂. But trading it for this one.
I love the V6 but trust me , the suspension and the way this handles is gotten way better over the years ..
Great video, I think it’s got a lot of power, you should mention the 247 pounds of torque which makes it the best in its class
The Honda Accord is freaking awesome.
I like the Camry but in the NYC area they are used a lot as taxis. Don’t wanna be at a red light and someone tries to hop in the back seat thinking it’s a cab 😂
LOL You are hilarious!
😂
I like the front end better than the rear. I have the previous Gen Accord w the 2.0T, and love it so much. The reduction of power on the new one is a turn off, unfortunately. Wish they would've kept that power train on the new Gen. My current accord feels pretty big, I am surprised they made the new one bigger😑. Overall, I'm glad I got the 10th Gen w the 2.0t, Plenty of passing power and feels very nice to drive.
Honda dropped a massive L with this car. The previous gen was so much better and I miss driving it.
Looks like a ford Taurus and Chevy impala had a love child
I'll stay with my 2022 Accord Sport 2.0L Turbo with 10 speed auto.... Such a better looking, equipped and performing car in SO many ways....
The reason why there’s no USB and no rear vents in the back on the sport model is to keep the cost down. On the EX model there should be rear vents at least.
This car definitely hits the standard for "generic". I use to own a 2018 accord and it was a solid car, but it also had a more unique look to it..
2015 with v6 engine is the best accord ever
Indeed. The 9th Gen Accord is nice and has aged well. Especially nice in coupe form.
I don’t own a Honda but sheesh.. the accords before this one had a beautiful design and look especially on the grill..
It needs a lower lip spoiler, side skirts, widened fenders front and rear, and rear diffuser. There you go!
Love my ‘24 Sport in urban gray pearl. The look has grown on me also-the driving dynamics and room inside was a clincher!
Honda really dropped the ball on this. 2025 Camry for the win
The 2022 model looks so much better.
No A/C in the back of a car in this class and price point is crazy..
I HATE the front grill! I have a 19 & will keep it because I don't want a Ford Accord. In addition, to have the racing heritage Honda has, it should have at least 240 hp.
Congratulations 🎉 Steven on ur award winning. Great job !
I feel like they didn’t out any effort into the styling, have seen one with the cladding all painted, actually looked a lot nicer, but the car still doesn’t look like a new car to me.
I have a 2018 sport engine is the 1.5L turbo. Looks great and is fun to drive. Downsides I have experienced; head gasket needed replaced at a little over 100k miles, air bag recalls, fuel pump recall which they have no replacements available yet, air conditioner condenser failure and again parts unavailable , frequent low tire pressure false warnings. Honestly we had an older accord with 200k miles on it and is still running which is why we bought this one. Sadly I will avoid 1. Low profile tires, Turbo engines and Accords in the future until honda returns to their normally excellent reliability. Still optimistic but concerned. Just my experiences.
If Honda has not fixed the issues with the 1.5t, please do not buy this vehicle. Oil dilution, Head gasket failures, AC condenser. These are known to fail. Oh and fuel injectors. Mine failed at 19k miles. Get a Camry. Car reviewers typically review brand new cars and then discard. You’ll have to live with it. That’s a different ballgame.
Excellent delivery Joe, as always. Thanks.
Honda needs a design team. They have been pushing out ugly for a while now
The Civic looks good so I am confused what happen with the Accord.
If I saw my customers as mindless NPCs with absolutely no life, joy, or inch of color in their personalities, I would design this. What a sterile, bland, disappointing change Honda has made to their cars. It’s almost insulting how much has been taken away. I know my stance seems very extreme but as someone still in college, wanting to enjoy the raw power of an ICE, it looks to me the only options available for future drivers will be electric, dulled out 4 cylinders, or taking apart the engine yourself and making it what it should have been. I’m not speaking just for Honda but especially Dodge. And I understand that most people want a gas efficient car but there still should be options for an enthusiast. Great review as always Joe. Love your work
ACCORD ALL DAY 💯
Sorry Honda, this Honda fan (and 10th Gen Accord owner) is gonna go somewhere else. Let me boldly state why; #1- hate the 'de-styling' job from the last gen. #2- Hate the cost cutting in the interior (you know what you've done, Honda, come on, man...from the cheapened gauge cluster, to the cheaper leather on the steering wheel, to the cinchy feeling knobs, even to the fact you took away the console shelf, even the cubby hole for the rear seat passengers. Yep, you lost me. And that's a shame because the upgraded hybrid drive seems really great. Maybe I'll keep my 10th Gen until the 12th Gen comes out. Or maybe I'll just look elsewhere. I just hope I don't stay 'a hater'. Thanks Joe, always a pleasure to hear from you.
What a let down. It was like Honda looked at everything they *could* have made special about this new version and said “nah let’s actually make it worse”. I’ll spend and go Acura.
I like the way this car looks.
Miss the 2.0 Turbo
Im a Toyota girl, and i love it! It is indeed a mature Honda Sedan. Step away from the big exhaust and Nopi stickers 😂

Thinking of buying a Honda Accord?
I have a 2006 Honda Accord (6 cyl/2 door). I purchased it new from Largo Honda, then located at their original location. I purchased it the day I got out the hospital after an major surgery and a post-op near death experience. At the dealership, I was still wearing hospital provided scrubs. My wife wanted me to buy a 4 door, but I prevailed with "Vera, this will probably be my last car." Well, so far, with 126,000 miles on it, it has met that challenge. Florida 2006-2023; NJ 2023 -??? It's now just shy of 18 years old.
This past year I has it repainted and new headlight lenses put in. The not-so-well selected leather used in the seats has long since worn out and re-upholstered(Florida sun doing its nasty work as well). It has no rust whatsoever, save a 2022 repair on the spare tire well(water leakage).
I regularly get compliments on the car, and notes("Are you selling this? Please call me"). My mechanic(now here in Plainfield NJ) this past year replaced a transmission seal and some engine mounts, also offered to buy it. It still gets 18-22 mpg, as it did when new.
My Honda has save my life twice. In 2023, I was travelling at above 70 on I95(South Carolina), inside lane, when a large box truck quickly started overtaking me, I signaled to enter the outside lane, but was too slow for the probably asleep trucker. My next glance in the mirror saw only the truck's one headlight about to hit me. I accelerated, all 6 cylinders gave their all, and I made it safely ahead and into the right lane. Not so the truck....it kept going by me, drifted to to left gravel, then grass, then bushes. My mirror's eye view showed it sitting stopped and upright in the bushes. In 2020, I was driving south with my wife on a rural part of Florida's Treasure Coast's 4-lane, US 1. A older large white pick-up came along side of us, with the passenger giving me "the finger" and pointing to the political flag waving from the truck bed mount. Then the pick-up's driver swerved to drive me off the road(I suspect they didn't like my political candidate on our Honda's bumper sticker). I skidded to a stop as the truck pulled in front of me. I hit the gas hard, crossed the grassy median strip and headed back North, leaving the truck and occupants in the Honda's dust.
If I get a new car, it will be a Honda, probably the 4 door sport model. My old bones are no longer welcoming lowering myself to a 2-door coupe's lower seats.
That is so fantastic to hear Robert!
If we’re talking about style I think they keep getting worse each generation, kinda sad but last gen was starting to grow on me.. this just looks like a police interceptor. I’d take the 2014-2015 Honda accord sports any day
Last generation wasn't bad at all for the Accord.
Can't go wrong with Honda accord. Thanks Joe 👌🏿
At first I hated the new design of the Accord. But then my beloved 2015 Accord Sport got totaled and it kept me alive so I bought another 😅. I really love my 2023 Accord Hybrid Touring. I avg about 50 miles MPG.

Yes Honda accord is the best hybrid car ❤
I’ve worked for Honda, owned a few accords, driven every single one. This generation Accord ‘Sport’ isn’t it.
Buy a ‘21 and newer CPO Acura TLX if you want sporty. If you want new, wait to be buy a ‘25 Toyota Camry. It’s quicker with less compromise, mpg will be around the same, all wheel drive available.
You’re an accord fanboy find a ‘18-‘24 10th generation 2.0t. That’s 252hp & a 10 speed auto.
I just got mine like three weeks ago. shit is nice for regular commute car. shit hits 48mpg on the highway..
What color you get I like the urban grey
Love the lunar silver with the wheels! Have to zonk no ac vents in the back!
