New gen looks amazing, and like it was made for adults. Last gen already looks like a goofy and dated kid's toy with those big red crab-claw tail lights, and curvey front facia we've been seeing for over a decade now.

I was the same. I didn’t really care for the look at first either. But, it’s grown on me. It looks way better in person, for whatever reason. Kind of gives off Audi vibes. The only thing is I wish it would be mentioned, in colder weather city mpg's drop to like 26 mpg, with the hybrid , while highway still does 43 mpg. Have not seen anybody make mention of this for any reviews done on hybrids. Other then not being made aware of this I 100% love the car.
That is not my experience with the same car and I live in Wisconsin! Yes, city in winter mileage definitely drops, but to nowhere near 26. Now, if your trips are only a few miles during the winter, that is a different story. Engine spins to heat the cabin and get ICE up to temperature. Do you have in ECO mode and use regenerative braking as much as possible?
I'm completely confused that some people actually think that this car is ugly... One of the most beautifull cars on the market. Fans of minimalism like myself would appreciate.
Accord sales have been down several thousand units per month the last year, and it's not all due to parts shortages. I think a lot of people are still disappointed with the styling and won't buy it. Honda will need to do a refresh by 2025 or the Accord may sink in sales the point that Honda may consider dropping it. Civics are outselling Accords by 3000-5000 per month. The lack of AC vents and USB's in the rear is a detractor to me. My car Accord 2021 Sport 1.5T has USB's and has been very useful. Very big fail there.
I am not liking the styling at all. The front of the car looks like it is too long and very elongated from the body of the car. The grill seems like it is too large for the rest of the car. The back of the car seems to just get too small for the front.

I love the all New Honda Accord Sport & even though it looks good & I feel like this is the Apostle to the Midsize Sedans. Now yes, it's not all wheel drive on any trim but looks.
I love the front, I love the rear, but they make me feel like I'm looking at a different car from each angle. And the body lines are so boring, they clearly pushed extra hard for that executive look. The interior is still a nice space to be in, but like others have said the ex-l is the best bang for your buck trim. In my opinion I feel like the camry took a similar approach albeit to a lesser extent. It still looks less sporty, and the new grill is awful no matter what trim you look at it in, but it still retains familiarity, unlike the accord.
I like the Accord! Not bad looking. And 5:40, I’d like to see a dual slash-cut exhaust, like how the Dodge Charger used to have, or maybe a quad-tip which would look sick! Anything would be fine with me. And about the MPG’s, it’s a massive plus! When comparing this to the Camry, I personally think the Accord is better in terms of the fuel mileage, so I’d definitely take this even though I’m more of a Toyota fan than Honda!
Over all its a nice car, i know lots of them complaining about what they should add in the interior plus not having AWD etc..but the only and main reason people are buying it because of simply MPGS, it saves lots of cash from fuel perspective

Great review! Believe it or not, out of the many years I've been watching your videos and being a certified Raiti's Rides "family member", this is the first time I've EVER left a comment. Because I've researched this car extensively, here's my counterpoint on your "zonks": 1) The higher trims on this hybrid DO give you the connectivity in the back seat-- with 2 additional USB ports. 3/4 of the trims give you that. This one, being the cheapest of the four, does not. 2) Not having vents in the back is a reasonable complaint considering you live in Florida, but many of us live in the northern states where that isn't much of an issue. 3) This hybrid is still relatively new, so it could be there will be more variety with the engine choices in the future, offering a more powerful horsepower on the highest trims-- heck, even maybe coming out with a Type R version. 4) Zero to sixty in 6.5 seconds is not bad considering the price of this car!!! Also, where this car really shines is the roadholding, which scored .90 or so in Car and Driver's test-- again, not bad considering the price of this car. I'm sure if you took this car into the rural "twisty bits", you'd likely see that this car handles very well at high speeds-- let's hope your next video on this car is done out in the rural area absent of those dopey Tampa drivers. Otherwise, I'm satisfied with this review! (much more lively this time than your 2023 version!). Hopefully I'll see your review of the BMW I4 or I5 soon (I wrote to you previously with this recommendation). I'll see you on the next ride!
I don't like the changes to 'look' in the front. I loved the older headlights and grill much better. The wheels looks simpler too. Not sure I'm in love with those wheels. You'll be more invisible with this model if that's what you want. Go back 2-3 years and you stand out. I miss the stapler brake lights. With aftermarket back lights you really can look great with the staplers. I do agree with your thoughts on the emblem set on the rear though. I used to have a 22 2.0t and the MPG's are amazing on this 2024. Wire mesh inside is awesome. I wish that was on the 22.
I watch your content to make my English learning more enjoyable... Your contents are better than watching other English soap operas for car lovers like me. Thank you so much
The reason why there’s no USB and no rear vents in the back on the sport model is to keep the cost down. On the EX model there should be rear vents at least.
The design team couldn't wait to be off work for the day. This car is painfully boring to look at. And the Honda logo in the back is so small it's almost like the car isn't proud to announce itself.
Thanks Joe for the honest review on this new Accord. I for one am not a fan of this new generation The poor styling on the exterior especially the front end, very cheap looking. Also the lack of the rear AC vents, what were they thinking? The only thing I like is the new dash and the infotainment screen but thats it. Also the lack of the 2.0T and 10 speed is huge disappointment.
I think it’s important to note that none of these hybrids get the gas mileage they claim unless you’re driving in Eco mode and you have super slow accelerations. If you have your hybrid and you’re driving in Sport mode all the time then you’re going to get 25-28MPG
Enjoyed the backstory of the cannolis and you being from the great state of NY. Agreed a zonk for no all-wheel drive option and no dual exhaust in a "Sport" model. An Accord is always a solid choice, however so is a Camry, may be worth waiting for the Camry if that's your thing. Additionally dealer installed pinstripes went out in the '90's.
Exactly. The design is great and not too overdone. The design is mature yet sporty and the rear taillight design is somewhat retro. The same individuals that complain about this Accord probably drive boring SUVs 😂
I like the front end better than the rear. I have the previous Gen Accord w the 2.0T, and love it so much. The reduction of power on the new one is a turn off, unfortunately. Wish they would've kept that power train on the new Gen. My current accord feels pretty big, I am surprised they made the new one bigger😑. Overall, I'm glad I got the 10th Gen w the 2.0t, Plenty of passing power and feels very nice to drive.
I have a 2020 Sport 2.0T in black. I like the performance, but it feels so compact on the inside. I just drove a 24 Sport 2.0 Hybrid and loved the car with the exception of the hybrid powertrain. That might take me some time to get used to.
I have a 2018 sport engine is the 1.5L turbo. Looks great and is fun to drive. Downsides I have experienced; head gasket needed replaced at a little over 100k miles, air bag recalls, fuel pump recall which they have no replacements available yet, air conditioner condenser failure and again parts unavailable , frequent low tire pressure false warnings. Honestly we had an older accord with 200k miles on it and is still running which is why we bought this one. Sadly I will avoid 1. Low profile tires, Turbo engines and Accords in the future until honda returns to their normally excellent reliability. Still optimistic but concerned. Just my experiences.
I like the Camry but in the NYC area they are used a lot as taxis. Don’t wanna be at a red light and someone tries to hop in the back seat thinking it’s a cab 😂
I feel like if this car came out in 2018, it would be one of the hottest cars in the market. Now, cars are matching that MPG, with a better design, updated specs, and higher performance. Low HP, the lack of AWD, no sunroof, and lack of overall technology is just unacceptable. Like always, I do have to give Honda props for the cabin
I feel like they didn’t out any effort into the styling, have seen one with the cladding all painted, actually looked a lot nicer, but the car still doesn’t look like a new car to me.
If we’re talking about style I think they keep getting worse each generation, kinda sad but last gen was starting to grow on me.. this just looks like a police interceptor. I’d take the 2014-2015 Honda accord sports any day
If Honda has not fixed the issues with the 1.5t, please do not buy this vehicle. Oil dilution, Head gasket failures, AC condenser. These are known to fail. Oh and fuel injectors. Mine failed at 19k miles. Get a Camry. Car reviewers typically review brand new cars and then discard. You’ll have to live with it. That’s a different ballgame.
Leave it in Normal Mode most of the time. Sport Mode when you want some extra power every now and then. Turn off Econ mode while city driving. It’s really for the highway or for when there is minimal stop-and-go traffic. There have been tests (and also from personal experience of three Hondas that my family owns) where fuel economy goes down while Econ mode is on while driving in the city. You are actually causing the vehicle/engine to work harder when Econ mode is on due to the vehicle trying to accelerate from a dead stop. (Accelerator is more difficult to press when it’s on, so just imagine you forcing the pedal / pressing harder when you shouldn’t have to.)
Well damn!!! one guy in a video I watched replied to me and told me to put it in ECON mode in the city and sport mode on the highway but didn't explain why...Thanks for this info it was very helpful. No more ECON in the city.@@absalomstar7085
Thinking of buying a Honda Accord? I have a 2006 Honda Accord (6 cyl/2 door). I purchased it new from Largo Honda, then located at their original location. I purchased it the day I got out the hospital after an major surgery and a post-op near death experience. At the dealership, I was still wearing hospital provided scrubs. My wife wanted me to buy a 4 door, but I prevailed with "Vera, this will probably be my last car." Well, so far, with 126,000 miles on it, it has met that challenge. Florida 2006-2023; NJ 2023 -??? It's now just shy of 18 years old. This past year I has it repainted and new headlight lenses put in. The not-so-well selected leather used in the seats has long since worn out and re-upholstered(Florida sun doing its nasty work as well). It has no rust whatsoever, save a 2022 repair on the spare tire well(water leakage). I regularly get compliments on the car, and notes("Are you selling this? Please call me"). My mechanic(now here in Plainfield NJ) this past year replaced a transmission seal and some engine mounts, also offered to buy it. It still gets 18-22 mpg, as it did when new. My Honda has save my life twice. In 2023, I was travelling at above 70 on I95(South Carolina), inside lane, when a large box truck quickly started overtaking me, I signaled to enter the outside lane, but was too slow for the probably asleep trucker. My next glance in the mirror saw only the truck's one headlight about to hit me. I accelerated, all 6 cylinders gave their all, and I made it safely ahead and into the right lane. Not so the truck....it kept going by me, drifted to to left gravel, then grass, then bushes. My mirror's eye view showed it sitting stopped and upright in the bushes. In 2020, I was driving south with my wife on a rural part of Florida's Treasure Coast's 4-lane, US 1. A older large white pick-up came along side of us, with the passenger giving me "the finger" and pointing to the political flag waving from the truck bed mount. Then the pick-up's driver swerved to drive me off the road(I suspect they didn't like my political candidate on our Honda's bumper sticker). I skidded to a stop as the truck pulled in front of me. I hit the gas hard, crossed the grassy median strip and headed back North, leaving the truck and occupants in the Honda's dust. If I get a new car, it will be a Honda, probably the 4 door sport model. My old bones are no longer welcoming lowering myself to a 2-door coupe's lower seats.
I never understood why Honda makes a 5 seater vehicle but only thinks about the driver and front passenger’s comfort, no rear vents or power outlets is ridiculous especially for the asking price
My brother had the first Accord back in the 70s and I think that thing was smaller than a Honda Fit. Back then it was known as an upscale Japanese car.
I'm with you a sport trim should definitely have the exhaust showing. Different trims should have different grills like most models. Honda played it too safe with this one. Don't like the style of the seats and they are cloth is a bummer. Honda getting worse than GM. I do like the infotainment and the steering wheel. Honda does a great job with their steering wheels.

I KNEW I WASNT THE ONLY ONE WHO HEARD THAT🤣🤣🤣
I laughed so hard at that 😂
“ while in doing that get your but over hear” lol 😂
I don't like the changes to 'look' in the front. I loved the older headlights and grill much better. The wheels looks simpler too. Not sure I'm in love with those wheels. You'll be more invisible with this model if that's what you want. Go back 2-3 years and you stand out. I miss the stapler brake lights. With aftermarket back lights you really can look great with the staplers. I do agree with your thoughts on the emblem set on the rear though. I used to have a 22 2.0t and the MPG's are amazing on this 2024. Wire mesh inside is awesome. I wish that was on the 22.
I love my 2021 Honda accord 2.0 T. So sad they got rid of it but I’m always keeping this.
I watch your content to make my English learning more enjoyable... Your contents are better than watching other English soap operas for car lovers like me. Thank you so much
im really waitng for 2025 camry fully loaded to released so i can be the first one to own it.
The reason why there’s no USB and no rear vents in the back on the sport model is to keep the cost down. On the EX model there should be rear vents at least.
Brooklyn ny I’m from Bergen beach I noticed the accent and the body language you the man!
The design team couldn't wait to be off work for the day. This car is painfully boring to look at. And the Honda logo in the back is so small it's almost like the car isn't proud to announce itself.
Right? The little H makes it look like a car from the 90s
I think the 2018, Accord looked a lot better with the 2.0 turbo that put out almost 270 hp
Finally a small emblem. Not getting paid to sponsor Honda.
Definitely the last gen was so much better
Car looks older than my 2012 Camry 🤷
Thanks Joe for the honest review on this new Accord. I for one am not a fan of this new generation The poor styling on the exterior especially the front end, very cheap looking. Also the lack of the rear AC vents, what were they thinking? The only thing I like is the new dash and the infotainment screen but thats it. Also the lack of the 2.0T and 10 speed is huge disappointment.
exterior of that accord is not beautiful, its too simple.
Yes of course Joe & this is my new first car.
Still lying.
I like the way this car looks.
Thanks for this one
You are so very welcome!
@@Brian_Eugene_LeeI’m so glad that you think so
I so miss the 2020 Sport/Touring 2.0T 4 cylinder with that awesome acceleration!! How sad that this is gone. Ugh
Great video, I think it’s got a lot of power, you should mention the 247 pounds of torque which makes it the best in its class
Man silver and black color scheme makes every car look so freakin good
Unfortunately, not this one.
Not crazy about the style I like the previous style better, need all wheel drive especially up in the north east big zonk. Great review Joe!!
You are not the first to say that!
They drop the ball on the design of this vehicle
Previous generation definitely looks a lot better
Thanks for letting me share it with you! I totally agree about the pinstripes.
Love my ‘24 Sport in urban gray pearl. The look has grown on me also-the driving dynamics and room inside was a clincher!
Congratulations 🎉 Steven on ur award winning. Great job !
Awesome Stephen
Miss the 2.0 Turbo
Love my 24 Accord Sport in all black. All you haters can get lost. This car is sooo good and well designed.
Exactly. The design is great and not too overdone. The design is mature yet sporty and the rear taillight design is somewhat retro.
The same individuals that complain about this Accord probably drive boring SUVs 😂
@@upbeattvraw-hiphop8242 it’s a grown man’s accord. Only the kids are crying about the design.
Excellent delivery Joe, as always. Thanks.
Great video as always Joe my goodness those dirrty 😅jokes get me every time. So funny. 🤣 your videos are always fun and so informative. 💪🏼
The Honda Accord is freaking awesome.
Love the lunar silver with the wheels! Have to zonk no ac vents in the back!
Congratulations Stephen!!
I just got mine like three weeks ago. shit is nice for regular commute car. shit hits 48mpg on the highway..
What color you get I like the urban grey
I like the Camry but in the NYC area they are used a lot as taxis. Don’t wanna be at a red light and someone tries to hop in the back seat thinking it’s a cab 😂
LOL You are hilarious!
😂
2015 with v6 engine is the best accord ever
Indeed. The 9th Gen Accord is nice and has aged well. Especially nice in coupe form.
I like the dash except for the “I Pad” sticking up so high. AWD would be a nice option also.
Excellent points to point out Phil.
I think these new Honda design is absolutely gorgeous ❤️
That is so fantastic.
ACCORD ALL DAY 💯
Can't go wrong with Honda accord. Thanks Joe 👌🏿
Amazing review Joe.
The look grew on me big time … love it
I feel like they didn’t out any effort into the styling, have seen one with the cladding all painted, actually looked a lot nicer, but the car still doesn’t look like a new car to me.
I’ll say it over and over the 10th generation is way better
Honda dropped a massive L with this car. The previous gen was so much better and I miss driving it.
If we’re talking about style I think they keep getting worse each generation, kinda sad but last gen was starting to grow on me.. this just looks like a police interceptor. I’d take the 2014-2015 Honda accord sports any day
Last generation wasn't bad at all for the Accord.
The accord is the best non German sedan out there
And it won't go kaput at around 100k miles
If Honda has not fixed the issues with the 1.5t, please do not buy this vehicle. Oil dilution, Head gasket failures, AC condenser. These are known to fail. Oh and fuel injectors. Mine failed at 19k miles. Get a Camry. Car reviewers typically review brand new cars and then discard. You’ll have to live with it. That’s a different ballgame.
love my 2019 sport 2.0. Honda took a step back with the new body style
Loved the Brooklyn shoutout
Great review. Question is: when is the new camry coming out?
Summer
Joe and Lori and Steve keep up the good work real true and I love the video 👍
I wish they upgraded the tech in the pilot and CRV before this accord. Sorta baffles me
It’s crazy they did not.
Are you supposed to drive in ECOn mode in the city and sport mode on a HW or vise versa? I don’t have a Honda just asking in general.
Sport mode at all times!
Well damn!!! one guy in a video I watched replied to me and told me to put it in ECON mode in the city and sport mode on the highway but didn't explain why...Thanks for this info it was very helpful. No more ECON in the city.@@absalomstar7085
I'll stay with my 2022 Accord Sport 2.0L Turbo with 10 speed auto.... Such a better looking, equipped and performing car in SO many ways....
11:15 I’ve tried a cannoli pancake at IHOP once, they sound really good! I shall try it out if owning the Accord Sport 😎
It’s the little things in life! 😂
14:15 That’s a HUGE zonk here! We’re definitely gonna have to zonk it!
@@RaitisRidesAbsolutely! 😂
That is so fantastic to hear Robert!
Boring styling. Not worth it.
I never understood why Honda makes a 5 seater vehicle but only thinks about the driver and front passenger’s comfort, no rear vents or power outlets is ridiculous especially for the asking price
That is a very valid point.
I will wait for the refresh.
Yes Honda accord is the best hybrid car ❤
My brother had the first Accord back in the 70s and I think that thing was smaller than a Honda Fit. Back then it was known as an upscale Japanese car.
I'm with you a sport trim should definitely have the exhaust showing. Different trims should have different grills like most models. Honda played it too safe with this one. Don't like the style of the seats and they are cloth is a bummer. Honda getting worse than GM. I do like the infotainment and the steering wheel. Honda does a great job with their steering wheels.
I have 2010Honda Account 3.5 EXl . Great reliable vehicle. Planning to keep forever 😂
Camry is still better ❤
