Just a quick testament. Passed my 901 today with a 750+ score. Just like Robert Lewis I pretty much used THIS video, as well as a mix of professor messer's videos, practice tests and notecards from crucialexams AND examcompass. I felt a very good grasp on the material and even though they word the test questions in a tricky manner, pulled through with relative ease. Thank you very much for the free and valuable content.
I would love for people to let me know an order to go in with. Start with A+ or what? Knowledge or a direction to point me in would be nice. I just see so many different certificates and many people saying take this or that first.
This is literally cisco's A+ training course that I took in a college class. Except, this video is much easier to understand without having to look at paragraphs crammed with information. The bullet points cover the main idea for each concept, making it much easier to understand and remember. Just goes to show, how much a degree is not needed for the IT field. Literally, you can self-study for all the exams and change your life forever.
@Chella Mac CompTIA is the industry standard unless you want to work at Microsoft, which has their own certification programs (they’re all equal pretty much so you can mix & match)
I just wanted to say THANK YOU!!!! I took my 901 today and passed with a score of 820! My background: freelance IT Here's what I did: 1. Watch this video 1 time over the course of 3 days 2. Make about 100 flash cards on things I didn't know / was fuzzy about 3. Quiz myself on all of the flash cards 3 times in order, then randomize about 30 to spot test knowledge 4. Take about 4-5 different practice tests (25-100 Q's each) and scored about 75-90% 5. Take the real 901 exam and pass with flying colors 6. Comment on here to celebrate and say thank you! 7. Wish that you had 902 training as well, but survive with the Messer videos as an alternative 8. 9. Profit? Thanks again, you rock!!
Really? I'm almost to the end of my associates in CIS and my program has been programming heavy: Java or C++/JavaScript/SQL.... also system design courses. They hardly talk about these things in the video. We only have one networking class required.
@@anahicarrasco2538 There are multiple cheap and free sources out there to where you can get the information you need. This VIDEO Course is just good for Reference from a VISUAL perspective. You still need to study more information separately that pertains to the A+ 1101 and 1102 Exam objectives. The Visual Concepts in this are similar but there are specific things you need to study outside of just visualizing how things work. I would not recommend studying anything from the Previous exams since the current Exams relate to Windows 10 and 11 (Not Windows XP, 7, and 8). Good luck!
For anyone interested in this exam or just learning about computers in general: One thing I strongly recommend is to practice on a real computer. Hands-on experience is important just as learning the theory behind this. You don't need any fancy computer for this. And it doesn't even need to be functional; bonus points if you can get it to work. Pretty much any used computer you can find will be good for learning.
Ehh this makes sense only to an extent. You gotta imagine how many technologies, configurations, and other external devices you have to play with to learn them well. You’ll need more than a single computer to learn everything hands on as exampled in this exam.
Ehh... I'm not trying to be a AMD shill, but the AM4 (dead platform now, I know) socket is probably much safer for your purpose than a Intel LGA 7XX socket. AM4's PGA is much more forgiving in the sense of durability. With LGAs: you bend a foil-sized conductor, you basically kill the motherboard (unless you can CAREFULLY bend the connector back in place). Word of advice: the new AM5 is a LGA, so be careful when installing AM5 CPUs.
Imagine going to college for IT, spending thousands upon thousands of dollars for two IT degrees only to be told that you still aren't qualified enough because you haven't taken a 200 dollar multiple choice test. Thanks for changing my life COMPTIA:)
Man let me tell you something, normally i don't leave any comments in UA-cam videos at all, But you make me leave a comment to tell you Thank you so so much for this video and God bless you. I really appreciate your time and work.
Really? I am going to go take the test tomorrow morning and I am getting nervous. I took Comptia's practice questions and they were absolutly the easiest questions I have ever seen but then I went online and checked out some more practice questions and some of them I had no idea. Usually network question and some out of date hardware stuff. Am I over thinking it? I am 1 hour into the video and so far everything has just been review. Will I be ok? what I am most worried about is the simulation part of the test or the command prompt section
well i am doing my 220-1001 and 2 my eyes are just tearing that this human being can take his time do this work and load it on youtube for folks like us. I just got my CCNA and pushing this before the year ends. Your vidz are still relevant the simplicity and contrast you making to teach these technologies -i've never seen this no where. i want to buy one of your courses as a thank you. or a donation.

How to hide the SSID (don't broadcast the SSID. First question.
PowerCert Animated Videos you are a miracle worker. I never touched a Comptia A+ book before, I simply watched your video once and went for the exam the next day. I passed 😂
I just watched this video in its entirety last night. It definitely helped me a lot, esp in understanding IP addresses and networking in general (more than the bigger names suggested for resources), and I passed my 1001 exam (already passed 1002 so I'm A+ certified). Thank you so much!
Hi. I have a few questions as I’m studying for my comptia exam. I’m happy this video helped you because it’s helping with my understanding but was there anything else you used?
Hello I’m a black man. I have a question. I’m confident in my 1001 hardware skills but I want to know how did you get confidence in 1002 or in other words what did you do to prepare for it?
@@skyjmoney4203 Race doesnt matter :). Im naturally good on the software side of things. I had way more confidence with that than 1001. I passed 1002 first try. I passed 1001 on my third try.
@@TeaSea13 well I just got comfortable with the hardware today at my job I had to recently do a lot software so hopefully I can get through it I just want my a+ so i can feel secure.
I like how the ending of the four hour video is lightning striking the computer which then catches on fire. Similar to how a musician will play a four hour set and then smash their guitar.
Thanks for uploading this. Watched this vid once at 2x speed. No IT experience. I passed my 901 today with a score of 675 which is also the passing score
@@tnix80 I'm curious about this as well. I have to imagine the large majority of hardware, software, & troubleshooting methods are all still very relevant
It's should all cover the typical same stuff... It's all comp basics... Anything else you can learn yourself somewhere else... But this definitely should get you ready and prepped
Most of this stuff I learned as a kid. I wish I would've gone into cyber security years ago. I work in power generation now, for power plants. At 33 I plan to make a career change into cyber security.
I'm changing my career at 38. I also regret not doing it a few years back. I hope this cert and couple of others MS ones I already have help me to find an entry job. Then I want to focus on IoT and automation. Good luck in your career in Cybersecurity! It's not gonna be easy but definitely worth it! :)
Like Tanner said, I've learned what I NEEDED to know here in 4 hours, much more than I did 4 years at a Uni. That is a serious problem in our education system. Too much , no pun intended, "junk data". ;-) Thank you so much for this! I didn't have to spent $2000 on some course! I'm donating if you allow it!
Oh yeah They do that even at the physics level They give you such a broad spectrum to study you need to go past Masters to be applicable in the national labs I. E. Physics ok, what sub field? Optics? Ok, radio, lasers, antenas, clocks? Ok go even FUTHER INTO that sub field
Just passed with 675 (min passing score)-watched this video all the way through once, then listened to it in the background to and from work and while playing video games the weeks prior to exam. So probably once all the way through with full attention, then maybe twice again, but in 30 minute snippets and only background attention.
funny enough.. this was the exact idea I planned to use before seeing your comment. I'm glad you passed. asides this, do you have any extra recommendations? I will appreciate!
@@width19 I strongly suggest practicing on a real PC. It doesn't need to be fancy or even functional. Bonus points if you can get it to work. Having a certification is great, but hands-on experience is invaluable. Even if it doesn't directly help you for the exam, it can help having that hands on knowledge for entry-level IT jobs.
Good job!! I got my A+ back in the year of 2000 and I had never practiced since or even update my info. I looked at many videos, nothing like this one, it is very informed, organized, simple, clear english, all what you need been put in almost 4 hours video. with no hesitation I will give it 10 out of 10
I have no experience in IT, and I am looking to go from being 20 years old working as a cook to doing IT, and this video was so helpful. I plan on taking the A+ exam next month so let's see what happens.
Interviewing for my first IT Help Desk job tomorrow. First step into a career path for me. I have used computers my whole life but not professionally. This served (for me) as a wonderful refresh of the information that I have lost over the years. Thank you for this & This has helped me gain the confidence I needed!
You have no idea how helpful this video truly is. I cannot imagine the time it took to compile this video. You could have successfully charged for this video, but you chose to give to the world for free. I truly commend you for this.
I watched Prof. Messer and Mike Meyers. They all gave me great information. However, this video worked even better to wrap up what I've learned. Maybe it was because of the graphics or the way it didn't overwhelm me with information. Either way, great job!
I remember back in 2000 where a vendor would offer to come and teach all this to your school over the course of a week and each head would pay about 3k, now you can just learn all this over the interwebs .. thank goodness for that !
Got my job as an teachers assistant(hardware) today, thanks so much for freshing up my basic knowledge! Also I don't have any diplomas, not even a high school diploma, just passion and knowledge can bring you somewhere, so don't let money issues stop your passion, ever!

I do have experience, as I currently work an as Point of Sale installer. Although the A+ is more detailed. This is the most comprehensive and straight to the point training. I used this with Mike Meyers 901 training course on Udemy.com ($10) and passed. Mike Meyers also has a practice test on Udemy, I always wait for the $10 sales before I buy. 1.Mike Meyers 901 "A+ the total course" 2.Mike Meyers 901 practice exams 3. This Video. I recommend finishing Mike Meyers course in 5 days. Watching this video straight through 2x before the test and you will be fine. The first question I had was "Match the ports" Http -80 SSH-22 FTP-21 and 22 HTTPS-443 IPOP- 110 5 questions about RAID arrays I was not super confident on. Questions vary from test to test but there you go!

This was phenomenal even for 1001. I just want to mention that thermal printers are more commonly used for receipts, not labels or barcodes as this video states. In fact, I worked in a retail environment for several years and never once saw a price tag or barcode printed on a thermal printer.
This instructional channel is absolutely amazing. I have learned IP address scheming and networking just a few hours worth almost like my entire courses for my BSIT degree.
@@PowerCertAnimatedVideos any chance you will be dropping a video for the 220-1001 and 1002? I'm sure the info in this video will still help a lot. thanks!

Being completely brand new to technology, literally experienced enough to know what a computer looks like, I am in love with this channel. I have always wanted to learn about computers and eventually wanted to make some money with them in some aspect, but the learning curve was pretty intimidating. This video series makes the content much easier to understand as it is catered to people like me and assumes the watcher knows nothing. The courses I've taken recently says it is for beginners, but uses language which I am expected to know already, which I don't. A million thanks for putting this together!!!
Thank you so much for this video, it helped so much to pass my 901 with this material. You give the most clear and simple explanations that I have seen anywhere else. I took my 901 today and passed !
Just finished binge watching this. My test is tomorrow at noon. Will let you know. About halfway through, I went 1.5 speed and could still keep up with taking notes. Only had to pause a couple of times like with the Port numbers.
Holy cow this is amazing! I just finished after about 4 days of watching and taking handwritten notes. I used to work as IT assistant and even though it's not my passion, it seemed like a fun thing to do for stable income with my 3D art on the side. My boss told me that if I want to continue as IT, I need to get my certs. I don't know if A+ cert is exactly what I'm looking for but hopefully it's a step in the right direction, I'll update on when I pass my A+ exam. Thank you so much for this video.
Please keep in mind this is for the 901 Comptia exam. The current exam is the 1001. It should cover some of the same stuff, but wanted to let you know in case you were not aware.
@@f.a5148 I didn't watch the full videos, nor have I taken the exams yet. But, I would not rely solely on these videos. You may learn some useful information, but technically, these are outdated for the 1001/1002 exams. I would check out Professor Messer's videos. He covers everything. I'm currently doing Mike Meyer's course. I'm reading his book and watching his videos. I'm also going to be watching Messer's videos and doing Jason Dion's practice exams.
It surprises me how much of this I know, just from building and growing up with PCs. It's also strange seeing this at the end of 2019. Where RAM now has DDR4 and graphics cards are using DDR5.
My instructor told us that recently, P/S 2 ports are being phased back in. It's for security reasons. With USBs people can hack your computer easier than with P/S 2s.
Awesome stuff man! I have learned more in two hours of your video than in 3 days of reading. I'm more of a visual learner, and the way you lay out stuff it's just amazing! Would love to see a 902 video, but at the same time I understand it takes a lot of time to make such great content. Thank you!!
Thank you so much for this. I plan to take the 901 exam tomorrow and I thought I was ready before this but video broke everything down in such a simplified way, after watching, I KNOW that I'm ready know. Thank you again. 902 pleasssseeeeeee
I received A LOT of troubleshooting questions, which is understandable because hardware and troubleshooting techniques are both the biggest portions on the test. I also received many printer, RAID, and networking questions. Know your ports. My study materials was cbtnugget videos and any practice test I could find on the internet. This link has the BEST practice test and simulations. I even had one of them on my test. comptiaexamtest.com/

6:38 In 2020, there are now USB-3 and USB-C Hub Adapter that are brand independent and allow for multiple monitors and keyboard, mouse, and even have an ethernet jack. This may or may not be allowed with your government-furnished equipment GFE. And wireless peripherals are not allowed either with GFE.
I passed this part of a+ certification today. I prepared for about a week with this video and an IOS app with practice quizzes. Take note of specific things like port numbers! Thank you so much for the video. First attempt pass thanks to you. I’d say make a 902 one but it retires this year.
I already knew almost everything but this is really awesome for someone who is completely new to the subject! it covers everything one needs to know when starting
Multiple choice and simulations. I had more simulations in the 902 test than I did 901. Dunno if that's what made 902 seem harder but it sure seemed so to me. Then again, supposedly Comptia has a pool of over 2000 questions to pull from at random for each exam, so that probably has more to do with the difficulty for each test than anything else.
shadelings damn, I've got 901 tomorrow morning and have totally neglected any sort of revision, I've not done any whatsoever apart from watch the whole of this video this morning and take notes. No way am I going to be able to take all the information in, think I may fail tomorrow.
Will you all do an updated version 220-1001 & 220-1002? Your videos are the best! I would definitely purchase it! It’s very visual and not too fast paced. I love it!
This video is amazing!! I can tell by the work easily took over a year to do. Outstanding!! I'm going to be watching this and studying I'm changing careers any other tips will help. God bless.
This is an amazing video. After trying so many different mediums of study, this video has made the A+ a joy to study for. Thank you so much for this video!
Passed today. Most of the questions are troubleshooting so you will need to practice with Meyers/professor messor practice questions. I barely got any easy questions about Memory, CPU, RAM, RAID etc. Most of my questions were network troubleshooting
1000th comment here. This is very well done. You provide extra info that I haven't heard elsewhere in other courses. Also, I love that it is all in one video so I don't have to keep dealing with intros and extros and letting a playlist chug through. You do have a little intro, but it's nice and quick. My A+ test is 2-15-19 and I'm binge watching this right now. Like I said, so far, I like this format the best. I give you an A+. LOL.

I just wanted to say THANK YOU!!!! I took my 901 today and passed with a score of 820! My background: freelance IT
Here's what I did:
1. Watch this video 1 time over the course of 3 days
2. Make about 100 flash cards on things I didn't know / was fuzzy about
3. Quiz myself on all of the flash cards 3 times in order, then randomize about 30 to spot test knowledge
4. Take about 4-5 different practice tests (25-100 Q's each) and scored about 75-90%
5. Take the real 901 exam and pass with flying colors
6. Comment on here to celebrate and say thank you!
7. Wish that you had 902 training as well, but survive with the Messer videos as an alternative

Good luck!
Does that mean that the A+ in general is... OUTDATED?!?!?! No way!!! (SARCASM)
@@sisi_life1999 No, but the current iteration is 1101- this animated series (awesome!) was written for A+ version 901.
Fantastic advice. That's how I learned. Taking apart a computer and putting it back together.
Thank you!
Ehh this makes sense only to an extent. You gotta imagine how many technologies, configurations, and other external devices you have to play with to learn them well. You’ll need more than a single computer to learn everything hands on as exampled in this exam.
Just getting started thank you for your input!!

@@f.a5148 good luck!
oh man I needed this because I know how to handle all the aspects but didnt know their official names, finally got an interview and this video helps
I hope you got the job
It surprises me how much of this I know, just from building and growing up with PCs. It's also strange seeing this at the end of 2019. Where RAM now has DDR4 and graphics cards are using DDR5.
My instructor told us that recently, P/S 2 ports are being phased back in. It's for security reasons. With USBs people can hack your computer easier than with P/S 2s.
That's interesting. I'll check that out.
interesting indeed, i'll also look into that
Awesome stuff man! I have learned more in two hours of your video than in 3 days of reading. I'm more of a visual learner, and the way you lay out stuff it's just amazing! Would love to see a 902 video, but at the same time I understand it takes a lot of time to make such great content. Thank you!!
As they say, pictures and videos say a thousand words
Thank you so much for this. I plan to take the 901 exam tomorrow and I thought I was ready before this but video broke everything down in such a simplified way, after watching, I KNOW that I'm ready know. Thank you again.
902 pleasssseeeeeee
+JAxis Computer Repairs it went great! I passed! Thank you!
Congrats! planning on taking mine soon.
Hey honestly though how many times did you watch this in order to confidently pass it??
@@JojosGems thank you for the link. Planning on taking the test later in a few weeks.
You're a master at explaining complex material in the simplest form. Thank You!
Thank you for this. I just made a career jump to IT and this video (also your Network+) has taught me so much. I look forward to watching many more of your videos!♥
Good to know
I really love the animations. They make this whole experience more bearable.
Thank you for uploading these. You're making the IT world a better place!
These videos will be mandatory watching for my children when theyre old enough to use a computer.
I'm an IT guy but I always enjoy watching this channel!! Big THANK YOU sir for this incredible work!
Is this course video viable for the more 220-1101 exam?
@@ASTRO-if8ux %90 is useful but it doesn’t cover virtualization and and there are more couple of chapters are missing.
@@zubaydee thank you
Would you say this video is useful in 2022? I’m trying to get into entry level IT
Passed my A+ 220-1101! Your videos help me a lot thank you
Can u help me bro
Did you use this video only to study for the test??
What did you use?!!

Thank you kindly for this video. Passed my 901 today, this video was extremely helpful. Thank you again.
Nice. Congrats!
THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!!!! Just passed 10 minuets ago. Using this and only this to study!!!! Love it!
Wow. Congrats!
I passed this part of a+ certification today. I prepared for about a week with this video and an IOS app with practice quizzes. Take note of specific things like port numbers! Thank you so much for the video. First attempt pass thanks to you. I’d say make a 902 one but it retires this year.
You have till July to take it.
I already knew almost everything but this is really awesome for someone who is completely new to the subject! it covers everything one needs to know when starting
Just passed my 901 exam this morning! Thanks so much for this video!
How's the exam set out? Multiple choice, performance based questions etc?
Multiple choice and simulations. I had more simulations in the 902 test than I did 901. Dunno if that's what made 902 seem harder but it sure seemed so to me. Then again, supposedly Comptia has a pool of over 2000 questions to pull from at random for each exam, so that probably has more to do with the difficulty for each test than anything else.
shadelings damn, I've got 901 tomorrow morning and have totally neglected any sort of revision, I've not done any whatsoever apart from watch the whole of this video this morning and take notes. No way am I going to be able to take all the information in, think I may fail tomorrow.
shadelings just passed the 901, scraped it by 8 points haha. Good thing I watched the video yesterday! Now I need to book 902
Congrats!
Will you all do an updated version 220-1001 & 220-1002? Your videos are the best! I would definitely purchase it! It’s very visual and not too fast paced. I love it!
Sorry but could you elaborate a bit what has changed or what is the difference between 1001 and 1002?
I had not heard about 15 minute unskippable ads before but thank you for the video
you are a messiah in this domain..things were so difficult before I discovered your channel. .thanks
This video is amazing!! I can tell by the work easily took over a year to do. Outstanding!! I'm going to be watching this and studying I'm changing careers any other tips will help. God bless.
I'm also changing careers, I'm just now in the brainstorming process of how to go about it. How is it going for you?
This is an amazing video. After trying so many different mediums of study, this video has made the A+ a joy to study for. Thank you so much for this video!
This is literally the only computer hardware course on the entire internet that isn't in Hindi
sucks when they write and speak english for 1 minute the switch out after
thank you man
if you want to pass the A+ exam just read comptia A+ study guide and watch this video and congrats
Passed today. Most of the questions are troubleshooting so you will need to practice with Meyers/professor messor practice questions. I barely got any easy questions about Memory, CPU, RAM, RAID etc. Most of my questions were network troubleshooting
NBA Full Game Highlights thanks dude I’m going to sit my exam in a few months.
LOL.
Thanks.
Please let us know how you did, good luck!!!

Hi
Any chance of updating the course to meet the current version of comptia A+ . That would be so beneficial to all of us ?
Thanks
Wow, all built in powerpoint ha. Must have taken ages. Pretty good, Ive read through a 901 book and watched nearly all the videos in cybrary and prof.messer and this explains some of the topics in a simpler way than any of those. Got my exam tomorrow, not sure I would trust just this to pass as dont think it has everything, but it has helped understand some things better.
Passed with 892, would love to know what I got wrong but doesn't say :/ learn as much as you can, it's not just about passing an exam it's everything after it that you need to be thinking of! If you don't know your stuff you can't do the job.
@@nonegiven Congratulations! That is a hell of a score. May I know what simulations you got and how you found the exam overall? I'll be taking the 901 in about 2 weeks' time.
@@realtalk2713 I got one where I had to pick components for a home CAD pc and a HTPC, and another was for setting up wifi, another small one on drag/dropping 2 hard drives for raid config. They were pretty easy (was worried about them more than any other question but turned out didnt really need to be). Overall fairly easy, a few tricky ones. Just read the question properly because they arent always worded well and sometimes they made the wording a little tricky (which to me is just a sign of a bad exam but thats another topic ha). As long as you know your stuff you should be fine. There was loads of time.
@@nonegiven Thank you for your feedback and good luck with any future exams!
829 on the 902. Found it a little harder, but then only properly studied for about 2 weeks. (learn your windows recovery commands, I forgot most of mine for the performance question, oops!).
This is an awesome video! Very easy to comprehend and understand. I'm about to take the 901 test. Please upload 902 within the next couple of months!
Thank you. Not sure if I'm going to do the 902 yet.
if I may ask why not? Your videos are good quality and would be beneficial to a lot of people pursuing this certificate
It takes a lot of work to do these 3 hour courses. It took over 2 years to do the 901.
PowerCert Animated Videos Oh wow I had no idea. Either way I appreciate your work
Did you pass?
it's been almost 2 years since I got my A+. I used to watch this religiously
I want to donate some money for you because this is absolutely the best on the Internet. Please keep doing this
Wow. I need to get this certification. This looks like a great start! ☺️
FlipnotePikachu which one?
I was pleasantly surprised to find out that I knew pretty much everything in the video.
Sounds like I need to start completing some certifications, thank you for the video!
2021 and it's still not outdated! I love it.
