I..LOVE..THIS..BLANKET..YOU..MADE!! I know how to crochet but I’ve never tried it with my fingers!! I’m dying to, though! Thank you so much for this easy tutorial! 💗 You did such a great job explaining things as you went a long. If you’re still answering questions (a few years later 😊) I would love to know the exact measurements of your blanket. I would like mine to be either 5’x5’ or maybe 6’x5’....Oh, and also if you have machine washed yours. Thank you so much in advance if you are still commenting....if not, I’ll figure it out.😊 Can’t wait to get started!
My new favorite word for projects made with yarn like this - SQUISHY! I love SQUISHY! Excellent video! I'm an avid knitter, just learning how to crochet. You made this look easy. I will be trying!
This is he best video on making a blanket but I am a child so I cant drive to the store to buy yarn so I used three strands of yarn an it turned out so great! Thanks for saying to not use a hook cuz I would have.
After doing a foundation chain, i like to crochet into the backside strands of theese stitches. So i keep the front with the nice v-patterns visible. I made a small chochet-plushie (Angry Birds character Stella) with thin yarn, a thin hook and tight stitches. It's about the size of a tennis-ball with the biggest round size of 48 stitches. If i try exactly the same pattern with your bulky yarn and finger-crochet-technique, i think, this figure will grow up th the size of a medicine-ball and needs alot of stuffing material.
Thank you! You are so easy to follow. I was trying to use a hook which just was not turning out so good. I'm not so far so I'm going to start over and use my fingers.
And it helped my daughter so much and she is ten and she wanted a blanket that was crocheted and wanted to make one at her on paste and she loves your vids so much so I let her borrow my I pad and I say a blanket halfway done on the couch lol 😂😂
Hi Amanda - loved your video. I just bought the same yarn because my son-in-law has requested an afghan with this brand and color. My question is, can we please see a picture of the finished project. Also, could you tell us the dimensions of this particular blanket/afghan? Thanks you so much. Your video was wonderful!
Good Morning, the tutorial is ALMOST perfect. I wish you had done a third roll in the tutorial. I’m not a verbal person I’m a visual person so I’m not sure if what I’m doing is correct. Thx and Be Blessed
i liked your method of knotting 2 skeins together. id like to see how you do the final row & do you chain the height so thd sides are nicer looking, more finishef
Hobby lobby does sell this yarn year round. Also this is the only one that says hand wash as opposed to machine wash even though they all say 100% polyester.
I just want to know how long in line did you go with this blanket that you think it fits both you and your boyfriend I want to make a blanket to fit me and my husband I’m not quite using the thickness of that you’re using mine does maybe a medium size compared to that but it’s very squashy and soft I made my son a blanket using a single crochet and it came up very well but I’m still having some problems and figure out the length and the width I’m like very confused
When im doing this after a while my yarn starts to curve n I have to start over n over please explain what I'm doing wrong, also am I suppose to leave them hooks on both sides
Where can you buy this cheaper than to make it? If you look on Etsy or any site and put in the sizes for a 50x60 you are looking well into the hundreds of dollars
I was wondering what happens if you use both loops instead of just the back loop @ 5:30? In another video I saw someone use both loops, so I was wondering the difference? Thank you!
If you look at the texture of the blanket later in the video, you can see that it has a ridged texture. If you went under both loops you would have a flatter texture. It would still make a beautiful thick blanket, but it would depend on what texture you would like.
I can’t wait to try this on the weekend! Newbie question...do I hand crochet on the front of the stitch & then after flipping, crochet on the back of the stitch...or am I always crocheting on the back? Thanks ❣️
I know you're comment is old but I just recently had this same problem.. at first I was sewing the ends that I cut with a needle and thread so they didn't fray, but it was taking too long. So I started just tying a knot in the ends and it seems to work. The bernat blanket big yarn didn't fray at all, only the yarn bee did. Hope this helps someone.
Making this blanket! So excited for the finished product! I'm on my 5th row only because I tried a different blanket before this and I had to unravel it all and it got SUPER tangled so I had to get all the tangles out first, but when I did, I started crocheting it! I'm wondering tho, how long did it take to finish this? And how do you tie it off?
How much yarn would you say you would need if you wanna do different color instead of one. Also would this blacket be big enough for a king size bed? Its really what I am wanting and cant seem to find the right information. I want it to be a wide and long as a king size bed sheet set. Thank you for this simple and well informed veido 💜
Fantastic tutorial!! Thank you so much for sharing! Planning on making several of these for Christmas presents!!

Beautiful
Thank you for mentioning if it was warm. I have been wondering that as no one really tells you.
Hi Judi. I made several for Christmas gifts 2019. Yes they are very warm. The finished project is heavier than the normal throw.
Love this to ease my mind.

Do you have an estimate on how many skeins of yarn to get?
looks good, as for getting cheaper yarn, buy it from alibaba
Great tutorial
How do you finish off this blanket?
Is it better for less yarn to do hdc or dc instead of sc?
Hobby lobby does sell this yarn year round. Also this is the only one that says hand wash as opposed to machine wash even though they all say 100% polyester.
How many balls of yarn do we need per blanket?
I just want to know how long in line did you go with this blanket that you think it fits both you and your boyfriend I want to make a blanket to fit me and my husband I’m not quite using the thickness of that you’re using mine does maybe a medium size compared to that but it’s very squashy and soft I made my son a blanket using a single crochet and it came up very well but I’m still having some problems and figure out the length and the width I’m like very confused

When im doing this after a while my yarn starts to curve n I have to start over n over please explain what I'm doing wrong, also am I suppose to leave them hooks on both sides
Do you tie a knot with the tail when done?
Go to Walmart! I just bought this same yarn for $1.99!!
Can buy cheaper then make which makes this a bummer, but love the concept!
Where can you buy this cheaper than to make it? If you look on Etsy or any site and put in the sizes for a 50x60 you are looking well into the hundreds of dollars
How do you tie it off to finish it?
Just gt a new sub❣ 👍👍👍

It depends on the effect you want for the look. Ribbed is one loop both is not ribbed.
I made big aquablue queen size.
How many stitches for a full bed please
how do you end it so it doesn't come apart?
Does the yarn have to be that big
Pls tell The yarn name
I can’t wait to try this on the weekend! Newbie question...do I hand crochet on the front of the stitch & then after flipping, crochet on the back of the stitch...or am I always crocheting on the back? Thanks ❣️
I bought this same yarn but when I cut the tails it just keeps fraying. I have lost about 4ft of yarn trying to do this. Is there a secret?
I know you're comment is old but I just recently had this same problem.. at first I was sewing the ends that I cut with a needle and thread so they didn't fray, but it was taking too long. Woooaaahh
Great video, but the yarn you're using says 8oz and size 50 US / size 25 UK just so people are aware.
When I started bc to make my blanket it was going good but ended up as a bag

I give up trying
Could you update your links for materials so you can get credit? Amazon product is no longer available, just a heads up 😊
You didn’t show how to tie this one off.

Sorry, love the project, but not economical😥
30 rolls at $7 each? A $210 blanket? Ouch! Beautiful though.
Oh no Walmart 😢 only sells in the winter heasing walmart after work
Onde comprar
I’m confused, When she turned the work, and did the initial skip two and go through the loops, did she skip two each time after that?!
She skipped one and no she didn't skip it each time after that. Only after the chain one.
How do you finish this blanket off?
