The fact that you repeat instructions and demonstration multiple times in different ways and not just repeating yourself! Thank you! I really want to commit myself to this kind of project.
I'm gonna do that for my dog. He loves my big soft fuzzy blanket but his fur gets everywhere and makes me itch. So I got some chunky chenille yarn to make him a blankie 🥰
Ok I just made this blanket using this technique and here is my opinion and review. 1. You will never find an easier tutorial. This was the easiest pattern in the world and as long as you don’t forget a loop you are golden. 2. I made my blanket longer in the beginning because I used it to be my length, not width that way I had vertical lines and it was perfect. 3. You can use one color of yarn, but using two not only gives it color and boldness, but makes seeing the loops easier. 4. Absolutely use the yarn she recommended in the description, it was so easy to work with and oh my goodness is it soft. 5. I have never made a blanket before and altogether I made a queen size blanket that took about 3 hours to make. It cost about 50 dollars in yarn to make and in my opinion is a great option. This tutorial is the best out there and is incredibly friendly to beginners
@@deanne609 I did 40 because I made the original chain my length of the blanket since I wanted the stripes to be vertical rather than horizontal. So to make a queen size blanket I did 40 and keep in mind that it stretches as well so it may end up getting longer.
The hardest part is probably when you're going under its a little hard to see what you're doing. Your instructions are incredible. It's a little harder for a visual learner to see only for the under parts if that makes sense. Thank you so much for this video. You are incredible.
FINALLY SOMEONE CAN EXPLAIN CLEARLY WHAT THEY ARE ACTUALLY DOING! Such a clear, concise step by step video! @@annacollins6673 I actually finished my blanket months ago it was horrible so I stop doing crochet but if you wanna try I recommend it just remember there's always a room for improvement and I feel like crocheting was not my forte:))
I just finished making a blanket the other day for one of my friends that just graduated this year and I used a little over 20 skeins and it’s huge. We laid it out after it was finished and was astounded by the size of the blanket and I gave it to them today and they loved it so much and was so happy that I made it for them. They were impressed when I said it was the first blanket I’ve ever made and since they taught me a bit of crocheting so it was like a thank you gift for them. Thank you for this tutorial and I plan on making more of these but smaller this time 😅 unless it’s for me, I love huge blankets 😌✌
The fact that you repeated yourself multiple times is amazing! I’ve had struggles with videos that don’t repeat and only do the step once (it says for beginners but really isn’t). Thank you so much! 😊

Omgosh thank u for being so patient & clear with how & what ur doing!! I’m determined to make my very first grand baby (granddaughter) her very first, & also my very first, handmade baby blanket. I feel like it would have more meaning to it if I put the time & effort into it. I’ve almost given up on achieving this very special project simply because I’ve watched more videos then I’d like to admit & it’s been extremely discouraging trying to understand & keep up with what’s going on. So again, thank u so very much for being the one person to explain & show me how to make this beautiful blanket for my granddaughter. Is beautiful! I crochet and knit. I've been wanting to make a blanket for myself and don't really want to wait for the time I have to crochet one. This is easy and very quick. I'm going to do this.
Finally! Your video answers some questions I've had after making a couple of these throws (after watching other tutorials).Wish I had found yours first! I like how you explain which direction the working yarn goes when you get to a new row. A small detail, but will change the look. Also, I love your method of joining a new skein of yarn - simply sewing the ends together. Brilliant! Makes it so much neater. The other methods of 'tucking' the yarn in the back just don't work very well, looked sloppy no matter how much I fussed with it. And finally, your method of 'casting off' - finishing the end - better replicates what happens when you knit with needles. Other videos were different and more complicated. Thanks so much for the tips!
What a great idea. I used to knit all the time and had to stop due to bad arthritis in my fingers and joints. I took up crochet which doesn't hurt my hands but love the way knitting looks with a blanket. I am going to try it. Thanks

I don’t know how you have it in you. I’ve been crocheting for three days THREE DAYS it might just be because I only do it for 5 minutes a day but STILL how how how HOW this is torture yet really fun. So much money and emotion has gone into this blanket it’s so much cheaper and easier to just buy a blanket but, if you are willing to be emotionally and physically drained by crocheting forever then...it’s amazing and totally worth it. The respect that this woman deserves is uncanny
Thank you so much for this. I used a chunky chenille yarn from walmart, and I actually had to make mine twice because I didn't like how it turned out the first time. I ended up wanting my blanket to be a little tighter so my loops weren't as big, and I also used 22 for the chain, 16 was just too small for me. I guess the type of yarn would affect the outcome too though. This is the first blanket I have ever made, thank you so much for such detailed instruction.

@Milleitha Dysart, how is the quality of the Mainstay yarn? Reviews said it is not one long piece, it is several pieces knotted together. Could you please advise if you'd recommend Mainstay yarn?
The mainstays yarn is fluffy and it should come all in one (not knotted together) it's cheaper at Wal-Mart, it makes a very soft blanket but it does take up more time to make it than it would with merino wool.

@@sophiadean2849 hi! i recommend chunky yarn. the same that she used in the video! as far as how much to get, it depends on how tight you crochet it. i suggest starting out with about 4-5 balls are chunky yarn and if you need more you can always buy more!

@@quin7102 I believe I used 5 skeins. It cost around 45.00 to make.
raw just bout 5 skeins at Walmart for 5.50 a piece so my blanket ran me 27.50!!
Are skeins packages of yarn? Sorry I'm new to this lol
Nicole yes a skein of yarn means one pack of yarn
Thank You Lisette I made my first blank because of you for my girls for Christmas. You made it so easy for THANK YOU now I have the confidence to do more.
Thank you so much for sharing this information. I’ve wanted one of these blankets for so long but couldn’t afford it. I saw your video last week and It inspired me to try making my own. I’m struggling a little bit lol, but I won’t give up.
This is BY FAR the best tutorial video for a knitted blanket EVER. First blanket I’ve ever done and i got it done first try. You are so amazing! Thank you so much!
thank you for this!! its a perfect quarantine project for me because i have nothing else to do ahaha, hopefully i can try this and make it work! this is the best video tutorial i have found where the person explains every step clearly and shows very clearly what their doing!
edit: i tried to follow this and it worket great!!
4 skeins for baby blanket..6 skeins for full size.. 8 for queen size..10 for king
the heroic background music rlly makes me motivated haha
If anyone is wondering, I'm pretty sure she's using Yarn Bee Eternal Bliss yarn. (Please correct me if I'm wrong!) It can be found at Hobby Lobby
I found the exact same yarn at Walmart for 6 dollars
@Milleitha Dysart, how is the quality of the Mainstay yarn? Reviews said it is not one long piece, it is several pieces knotted together. Could you please advise if you'd recommend Mainstay yarn?
Had the exact same yarn from Walmart! They started with two colors and now I’m seeing up to 10 different colors!
this yarn is also sold at Michaels (or at least where I live they sell this). I love this tutorial bc she explains every step!
The mainstays yarn is fluffy and it should come all in one (not knotted together) it's cheaper at Wal-Mart, it makes a very soft blanket but it does take up more time to make it than it would with merino wool.
Thanks to your video, I've finally learned how to knit. I'll be able to make blankets for my little nieces. Thank you.
Great video! Thank you for the clear and patient tutorial ❤️
I enjoy videos like this, even when I don't have the stuff to knit, they're still fun to watch and they're very educational.

This was so helpful, I wanted to hand knit a blanket for my teacher, literally no video could explain anything for complete beginners. This video showed every step of the process, including the gifting. Amazing video thank you so much
Hi , I’m a beginner. I know nothing about crocheting. I want to make my mamaw a blanket tho and I’m set on that. I don’t know what yarn to get or even how much. ( just a regular sized blanket) any suggestions???
Definitely the best totorial out there! So easy to follow I tried other ones and they were a little challenging to follow. This was so clear and concise and I love how you told us how many rolls of yarns to use! So thank you for making this so easy!

@@sophiadean2849 hi! i recommend chunky yarn. the same that she used in the video! as far as how much to get, it depends on how tight you crochet it. i suggest starting out with about 4-5 balls are chunky yarn and if you need more you can always buy more!
I was a complete beginner and this is so detailed and a good explanation I love it thank you
TELL ME HOWWWWWW
Thank you so much!! You are one of the few people who can really help others!! Wonderful!!
This is the best video I found. I am going to take the first blanket I did totally apart and do it your way. Thank you Lisette.
Thank you! I am an avid crocheter, but knitting is not my thing and this I can do! Literally I can't even knit with a knitting machine, but yay me this is doable!

🙋♀️
Yes 😂it was so cool
Thank you, Thank you!!! Your step by step instructions were perfect. I just finished making my first blanket for my sister-in-law. She is going through Chemo treatments and it will keep her warm and comfortable. 💖💕
This is Soooooo cool
Tomorrow (bc it’s night right now) I am going to the store, and buying all the fuzzy yarn I can get, than just make the blanket while binge watching stuff
I loved this video, I almost gave up and then I came across your video and I’m now so excited to finish it!!
So I did it. Used the Walmart yarn and 4 skeins. Pretty decent size throw blanket. It took a couple it hours. So while it was a bit easier and looked better than the arm blanket it took an extremely long time in comparison. The arm blanket too be an hour. This I'd say it took 4 all together. But thanks for the detailed tutorial
What kind of yarn did you get from walmart?
The lifeof Jonnelleoh TV, but those bigger blankets probably cost a couple hundred bucks, whereas this probably cost under $50.
@@AllThePeppermint Do you mean if you where buying this? This is new to me . I want to try it.
what size blanket did you make?
@the lifeof Jonnelleoh
Wow... I am truly amazed. I don't know how I got here, but I'm so glad I did. I just love it!
Yay I finished my blanket, which is for my God Daughters first baby girl💖 I used 2 different shades of pink & it came out pretty for my 1st one ever! Thank you for your easy to follow tutorial ❣️ I can't wait to make another one 🤗 -T
Best teacher ever thanks for the great tutorial have taken my blender apart over 100 times trying to get it right…. This is the first time it’s worked and I’m getting somewhere looking forward to watching your other videos😃
I like that you stitch vs tucking the ends like I’ve seen in other videos.
My daughter is going off to college and I want to send her off something I made. But I know I am going to see this video over and over until it clicks🙄. Thank you for making this tutorial. You blanket came out lovely.
orchidlomasi Thank you❤ hope your daughter l o be a her new addition to her new beginning. Xoxo
I really like the way you explain everything, and you take your time showing all the steps.I will definitely use your video to help me start my blanket. Thank you.
I just had to come comment that your video is so helpful. I was doing blankets 2 years ago and used your video to learn. I took a break because I had my son and trying to get restarted I tried to watch another video to get myself reacclimatized and it just wasn’t helping. I found your video again and it was so simple to follow and get going again. So thank you for making this 😍
This is the best video I’ve watched on how to make this! It explains it so nicely and easy to understand.
Amazing. I've watched several youtubes on this blanket I've liked them all. But I really enjoyed your extra added touches.
Amazing ! Never tried but will definitely give a try ! Thank you for sharing !
This was the most helpful video that I have seen for this type of blanket!! Thank you!!
