Thank you so much for this tutorial!! Easy to follow, simple yet detailed perfectly! I watched this on reply for a few weeks and practiced the single foundation chain and today finished the first half double row. As a mom of 2 littles under 3 I needed an outlet at night and this is definitely it! Very calming to listen too and follow along. Definitely will be searching this channel for other projects after this one!
My daughter who is 6 has been learning to crochet with her Grandma this summer and has loved your videos. She is making this baby blanket and is really enjoying it, thank you.
I have the same hooks they are fantastic! They feel great in my hand for hours. Also purchased the purple yarn a few months back. So happy to have a tutorial for baby blanket.
A year ago today I learned to crochet and do many projects by the help of mostly your videos and some others. I wanted to do it so badly at first and assumed there would be no videos on UA-cam and That I would have to take classes. I made lots of projects for friends, family and my animals that they love so much. I just want to thank you so much for uploading videos to youtube for everyone to learn. It made me realize how happy and grateful I am for some people who just want to spread information regardless if their is a price on it. I learned so much and I cannot thank you and so many others enough!
I had to restart 4 times because I was following a book at first, and then when I realized it wasn't working, I saw this video...but I didn't finish watching it, so even though it worked for a good bit, I missed som stuff and yes, had to undo it and start all over again...so it was a total of like 6 times I had to start over again. Once I followed the video almost EXACTLY I didn't have much trouble, and it came out pretty awesome.
Currently trying to learn to crochet, noticed my cat took an interest in my soft fuzzy yarn and decided I’m going to try and make him a blanket. This video was so easy to follow but my nails are slightly too long to work with right now so I’ll use it when my nails are shorter. Thank you for having such helpful videos. I’m a very impatient person but your tone of voice helps me relax whilst I’m crocheting. So again, thank you

OMG thank you soooo much, I've been struggling with crochet for a while. I have a newborn baby cousin that is going to love this blanket. Little Claire will have a nice warm blanket hand made by her favorite cousin
I randomly thought oo lets crochet since I've been sick for the past week. I thought I was foolish but I told myself, let me find one youtube video that explains it well enough and looks good enough for me to follow. Saw your vids and popped my order for the materials right away. It came today and I am planning to make this blanket. My first yarn I ordered was Bernat Baby blanket and its soft and heavenly but my god is it chunky and hard to play with. But all day I've been playing around with it and got used to it. Now I plan to make this little blanket! Thank you so much. I love all of your videos, I can't wait to learn and see what I can make!
Absolutely love this pattern but I’m nearly finished with my first 300g yarn after only 6 rows! Will need more but I’m so excited to finish my blanket and give it to my niece for her first birthday !
Yeah I’m not sure how she claims only 600g to make the blanket.. I did make it slightly wider by like 10 stitches. I’m almost done 1 skein and it’s only the size of an adult scarf.
Thanks for the tutorial! I made a blanket (200cm x 180cm) for my boyfriends birthday. I've been working on it for a total of 2 months (and started over twice). I think I'll make one for myself too, because I really don't want to give it away! :)
@@fynn2614 I googled it and to make a 200cm x 180 cm blanket, it said about 28-30 Yarn Skeins are needed. I'm not making it yet coz its an approximate calculation but I'll be gald if this helps. 😊
@juulzxo, well done you for doing your blanket and we all have a little habit of getting some parts mixed up but so what 🎉you smashed it & dead right to keep the next one for yourself, you put the word into it and reward yourself. Thank you for helping to building my confidence to continue learning. I am very hopeful that when I gift this blanket it will be well loved and appreciated.
I managed to get the first row but when coming to the half treble I got so stressed and couldn't do it Edit: I now managed to make six rows and i am almost about to change colours Edit2: sorry it was such a long gap finished the blanket the sides weren't entirely straight and it took me about a month because I kept getting frustrated and I made a bigger blanket than the one in the video
Molly It’s all about practice! If you’re just starting, I recommend making a blanket just for yourself to see what you need to work on, what patterns work best for you, etc. that’s how I started crocheting, started with one blanket for myself to see my weak points, and how to improve, etc. It helps you see how you’ve progressed! If you were planning on making it for someone else, continue, and when you’re all finished, start with one for you to help you
I love your videos! Your voice is so soothing and calming - I say that because as a beginner listening to your calm voice instructions it really helps relieve the stress of being such a newbie at crochet. I'm going to try this but I'm going to use a dual-color yarn for my first time so that I don't have to worry about changing colors. Once I see that I can do it properly I will attempt the two-color like you've shown here. Thank you for sharing your expertise!
I’ve progressed so much since you taught me to crochet 5 years ago and have enjoyed following your patterns along with the videos. Once again, thank you, you’re a wonderful teacher. I’ve been churning out star blankets for ages and love the simplicity of this gorgeous blanket. I can’t wait for you to do a CAL making a jacket or even an Ella sized cardi. Xxx

@@bellacococrochetJust a quick question on the pattern. Are there a certain number of rows that might be best for the blanket? Or is it just what works best?

I watched this video about month ago when I first started learning (I'm still learning why I came back to the Original video I 💙) but to make a long story short I spent like 60 dollars on 5 ball of yarn plus tax for this beautiful yarn(different yarn from the video ) to make my first blanket that was my first mistake should of started off a little more simple but I dove right in took me about a month to finish my first blanket I'm wrapping up that blanket now and it looks good if I don't say so myself butttt looking back at the original video I have some work to do to make improvements because have way through I guess I started doing my own thing and my edges are not so great and my stitches are definitely not organized and neat but I'm just proud I got this far to be able to rewatch and learn even more that I can do to make my next blanket even better I appreciate this video..Definitely easy for me to follow and keep learning from thank you.😁

Amazing! I made a blanket from this tutorial this weekend. All your tips were really helpful. I missed a few stitches and learned a lot about my tension and that I should have used a slightly bigger hook. But it turned out to be very pretty. I made it for my niece

I am doing so much better. Your instructions were so easy to follow and it actually looks like a blanket now. Thank you so much.
This was an amazingly beginners video that I just found doing a video search in UA-cam. I had not crochetted anything for 30 years soo I needed something to get started. I 🙂was able to make a beautiful blanket for my new grandson in just a short time!
So glad I found this, I’m wanting to start a crochet blanket business. Are these a good size for crochet throws or baby blankets? 🥲 I’m doing a few practice ones and I struggle with the sizing 😂
The completed size is 25 inch (W) x 29 inch (H) approx, this maybe different depending on the type of yarn you use, your hook size and your personal tension. I would say that this is a baby blanket size. I wish you the best of luck with your business :)

As a mom of 2 littles under 3 I needed an outlet at night and this is definitely it! Very calming to listen too and follow along. Definitely will be searching this channel for other projects after this one!
You're very welcome and I'm so glad that you have found crochet as a way of relaxing :)

My daughter who is 6 has been learning to crochet with her Grandma this summer and has loved your videos. She is making this baby blanket and is really enjoying it, thank you.
You are very welcome, I love hearing about little ones wanting to learn how to crochet :)
I have the same hooks they are fantastic! They feel great in my hand for hours. Also purchased the purple yarn a few months back. So happy to have a tutorial for baby blanket.
Wonderful :)

What hooks are they?

This is a very beautiful design and using the yarn you chose makes it very soft and snuggly.
You are very welcome :)
I have restarted my baby blanket 7x and I think I finally got it😴
I had to restart 4 times because I was following a book at first, and then when I realized it wasn't working, I saw this video...but I didn't finish watching it, so even though it worked for a good bit, I missed som stuff and yes, had to undo it and start all over again...so it was a total of like 6 times I had to start over again. Once I followed the video almost EXACTLY I didn't have much trouble, and it came out pretty awesome.
Lol ive started this blanket an have takken it apart a 200 xs
same.
I really really appreciate this.. as I new crocheter your thoroughness and slowness is unmatched. Thank you very much!
You are very welcome :)
So again, thank you
You are very welcome :)

Yes! Anytime my husband and I go to Walmart if we walk by the crocheting supplies he yells no more yarn 😂😂
This is me every single time I wanna crochet lol. I can find everything just fine till I wanna do it.
OMG thank you soooo much, I've been struggling with crochet for a while. I have a newborn baby cousin that is going to love this blanket. Little Claire will have a nice warm blanket hand made by her favorite cousin
You are very welcome :)
You are very welcome and I hope you are feeling better :)
Sewing, knitting, and crocheting are my favourite things to do, this is such a good project to work on? Thanks so much for this. 🧶🧵🪡❤️
You're welcome :)
I have used this yarn and I love it. It’s soft and thick so it works up fast. Thank you for sharing.
You are so welcome :)
This was VERY helpful! My sister-in-law is having a baby, and I wanted to make the baby a blanket! I will use this tutorial for the rest of my life! 😌
Glad it was helpful :)
Hey. Could u please tell me how many yarn balls did u use to make the blanket ? I'm thinking of making one for myself but idk how much yarn to buy.
❤️
@@snugglypotato3262 This is exactly what i’m wondering! and roughly how many stitches wide it was
@@fynn2614 I googled it and to make a 200cm x 180 cm blanket, it said about 28-30 Yarn Skeins are needed.
This is soooooooo helpful, I have only been crocheting for a few week and I was able to get the knack of this way of making the blanket I have now finished and teaching my mum to do it too! ❤
I'm so glad that it helped you :)
Just made my first project ever and it was this blanket ! Excited to make another one you’re the best teacher !Thank you ❤

I have also loved making this blanket. It was the first project that I have done in about 20 years. You explained everything so well verbally as well as showing each of the processes. Thank you for helping to building my confidence to continue learning. I am very hopeful that when I gift this blanket it will be well loved and appreciated.
You are very welcome :)
This is so funny I had just going to Walmart and bought the same yarn she has I'm so excited to make my first crochet blanket!!!
I managed to get the first row but when coming to the half treble I got so stressed and couldn't do it
Edit: I now managed to make six rows and i am almost about to change colours
Edit2: sorry it was such a long gap finished the blanket the sides weren't entirely straight and it took me about a month because I kept getting frustrated and I made a bigger blanket than the one in the video
How far are you now?
Molly It’s all about practice! If you’re just starting, I recommend making a blanket just for yourself to see what you need to work on, what patterns work best for you, etc. that’s how I started crocheting, started with one blanket for myself to see my weak points, and how to improve, etc. It helps you see how you’ve progressed! If you were planning on making it for someone else, continue, and when you’re all finished, start with one for you to help you
I feel your pain girl I have 2 sisters and 1 brother
at least you're doing it! My first project would fit your description
I followed this too, and my blanket kept shrinking and shrinking!
2 years ago I made a blanket in earth tones exactly the way your doing this one and it turned out beautiful.
You're very welcome:)
Me too 😊
I’ve progressed so much since you taught me to crochet 5 years ago and have enjoyed following your patterns along with the videos. Once again, thank you, you’re a wonderful teacher.
I’ve been churning out star blankets for ages and love the simplicity of this gorgeous blanket.

@@bellacococrochetJust a quick question on the pattern. Are there a certain number of rows that might be best for the blanket? Or is it just what works best?

Thank you for taking so much time to explain each step throughout, it’s greatly beneficial for new crocheters, like myself. ❤️

I watched this video about month ago when I first started learning (I'm still learning why I came back to the Original video I 💙) but to make a long story short I spent like 60 dollars on 5 ball of yarn plus tax for this beautiful yarn(different yarn from the video ) to make my first blanket that was my first mistake should of started off a little more simple but I dove right in took me about a month to finish my first blanket I'm wrapping up that blanket now and it looks good if I don't say so myself butttt looking back at the original video I have some work to do to make improvements because have way through I guess I started doing my own thing and my edges are not so great and my stitches are definitely not organized and neat but I'm just proud I got this far to be able to rewatch and learn even more that I can do to make my next blanket even better I appreciate this video..Definitely easy for me to follow and keep learning from thank you.😁
I just finished my first ever crochet project by using this video as my teacher! it's not perfect but it's close to, and this video was SO helpful! even thought i'm pretty certain I either invented a new type of stitch or accidentally didn't do the same one you did 😂 I can't wait to make more blankets!
Well done, remember that crochet is practice and patience so keep trying and it will get easier :P)

I love the pattern in fact I crocheted a baby blanket in those same colors for my 1st great-grandson the year he was born (he’ll be 5 yrs old in August this year). And his Mommy my oldest granddaughter still has it to give him to keep when he’s older.
Thank you for the video. I was having trouble with my piece folding up in a ball. But, after complaining to my husband, he searched UA-cam for a video and found yours for me to watch. Woah! This is actually really easy and I love how colorful it is. Tysm for this video!
You're very welcome 😊
So glad I found this, I’m wanting to start a crochet blanket business. Are these a good size for crochet throws or baby blankets? 🥲 I’m doing a few practice ones and I struggle with the sizing 😂
The completed size is 25 inch (W) x 29 inch (H) approx, this maybe different depending on the type of yarn you use, your hook size and your personal tension. I would say that this is a baby blanket size. I wish you the best of luck with your business :)
I just wanted to say your videos have helped me so much. I’m not usually a visual learner but your tutorials are really easy to follow and I like that you don’t rush it. Thank you for sharing 🙂

I think I've somehow messed up the first few rows because of how chunky my yarn is and how it wants to curl😂 oh well, here's to trying again!
It's quite normal for work to curl, it will get better the more rows you do. You may have to block it once it's finished :)
It does curl. It will work itself out after a few rows.
Thank you sooooo much for being so thorough with your explanation. Your voice sounds so sweet and I have officially learned how to crochet easily. Thank You New subbie ❤
