As a musician the realism of that scene is mind blowing. It's insanely eerie to watch a scene that has happened to you times and times again in real life down to the 'can you play another bit' quip. Am ashamed to say that never feeling as brave as this lad often I have decided to put down my guitar play it cool saying that I'll play later but secretly hurting at the total disrespect that led me to stop wanting to share a piece I was hoping to touch people's hearts with..

Honestly, this scene sort of captures one of the sadder realities of creating art (even though he didn’t create Let It Be, the point’s still there).
You put your heart into it, you spend countless hours on it, it means something deep to you and you have a feeling could mean something deep to someone else, too.
And often, even those closest to you are, at best, passingly interested.

"Hey pay attention! The Beatles gave up their existence for this song."
His voice is perfect for the role.
As a musician myself...this really resonates with me. The very thing has happened to me countless times. It's really the rudest thing someone can do to a performer.
Not sure I'd try to float this in a bar, tho...slow songs don't go well.
@@windsofmarchjourneyperrytr2823 I once played an open mic night in a really loud bar full of drunks having a wonderful time. I started with "when you say nothing at all". The whole bar went dead silent as I played and sang. It was an amazing feeling to cut though such chaos and grab everyones attention.

The amazing part of this movie that even though he got transported to a parallel universe, Jack was still was able to remember ALL the lyrics, all the chords, and everything about the Beatles. He could probably due many songs from memory.
That is the entire point of the movie

He didn't know some of the lyrics like Eleanor Rigby and needed to visit some of the places, great way to reintroduce the song origins. That blurry window is perfect. It’s symbolic that they aren’t going to see or understand what he sees.
1:04 3:11 Thought that was a mirror but 17 is not reversed but seems an odd place for window.
This is so relatable and crushing to watch as a musician with parents that are neglecting your need to shine for a moment. I can directly relate. Although, I'm such a good masker of my emotions around my family most of the time, so I usually played through the talking.
I like How Jack said “this is called Let it be” and turned around to see his parent’s reaction. If they knew about it!! That’s such a great detail!

No it shouldn't.... just let it be😆

"Its like watching Da Vinci painting the mona Lisa"
The beauty of this scene is it shows every artist that people's appreciation of your art has nothing to do with the quality of your art, but rather the quality of their heart. If they don't connect with what you've made, they are not the ones you made it for. Art is a search for connection with those who share your heart and spirit. It can be a long, difficult and unrewarding search. But the duty of the artist is to never give up looking for those precious few whose lives will be blessed and whose hearts will be filled by the sudden realization of shared humanity.
Just like in relationships

When you're trying to tell the greatest story of all time..
The way they keep interrupting this beautiful song made me feel annoying and funny at the same time LOL
Not only does Himesh sing the songs really well but he also plays the instruments really well.
the moral of this scene is: even if you have the greatest song ever written, you have to have the belief in yourself and your art to take it the distance it needs to go, and never stop pursuing your dreams. whats interesting about this movie, is he gains the confidence singing these songs because he believes so deeply they are great. and he stands up for them when people are not interest or dont understand. we have to do this same behavior with our own work. you HAVE to believe in yourself or other people will walk all over your dreams.
"What's it called?" "Leave It Be."
This scene made me really appreciate my mother and my grandmother. Any art I ever share always enthralls them.
The premise of this movie was absolutely precious. And it opened the door for such wonderful humorous bits like this.
This resonates so much to so many musicians probably. People who say they believe in you but they don't take the time to feel the music they are writing. He feels in this case particularly confident to defend it passionately because it is the Beatles but if say it was a song he had written, whether it was a great song or not it would be the same result only he probably wouldnt have his outburst.
Man I can totally understand that feeling when you try to show your parents the things you love to do but sadly they start talking to each other instead of listening to your masterpiece or talk over you to other members of your family god that annoys the crap out of me and that is why I can relate to him and it is also frustrating as well
Whomever cast these two as his parents got it spot on!
After seeing this movie I’m more thankful than ever that we have the Beatles and their solo careers

I swear I’ve had dreams before this movie when I was a kid that everyone forgot some of the best songs and I became famous off of them. Makes me think every idea will eventually be turned into a film.
This whole movie was great. Wish I had taken the time to go see it in theaters when it came out.
