Possessedbyhorror is an instant like for me she could be telling us how she likes her eggs cooked I would be there paying attention and taking notes!! ♡
W comment and an ashnikko pfp?? 🙌🏽
I like my eggs like I like my horror villains: Deviled
Same I literally like the video before it even begin cause you already knows this channel is immaculate af
So you let goats bang you?
I like scrambled
True, the stories in Creepshow do not overlap like the stories in Trick 'r Treat, but the infamous marble ashtray that Bedelia Grantham murdered her father with in the first segment, Father's Day, does reappear in each of the following four segments, The Lonesome Death of Jordy Verrill, Something to Tide You Over, The Crate, and They're Creeping Up on You!
Cobweb was one of my fav "so awful it's funny" movies of the year
I saw Cobweb trailers and I was immediately sucked in. I rented it almost immediately when it became available. It did not disappoint but it was also not what I expected. Such a good twist and so so creepy.
Thank you for talking about Butterfly Kisses!!! I was just talking about this film with my girlfriend today. So glad people are chatting about this! I love this film!!!
You're so right about Cobweb. It was such a scary surprise for me. I didn't watch any of the trailers and went in blind. It's definitely one of my favorite movies of the year.
This is exactly what I needed to narrow down my viewing this season. Thank you so much!
Lots of good choices.
Can’t help myself though. I have to say. We WEREN’T introduced to Art the clown in 2016.
The Terrifier is a spin off from the anthology movie All Hallows Eve (2013)
Another really good watch for anyone who enjoys anthology movies!
Ps: Creepshow 2 your favourite? It’s because of The Raft isn’t it?
Mine too :)
Prom Night, Halloween and Terror Train are AWESOME!! Jamie Lee Curtis Rocks!!
Trick R Treat is the BEST!!
I think Haunt (2019) is an underrated Halloween classic.
Immediately thought of Butterfly Kisses when you mentioned Hell House LLC. Double feature!!
Have you mentioned Dead End in any of your videos? That movie is the perfect 2000's scary movie. It's got horror, camp, comedy. And Ray Wise is awesome in it.
I just watched Butterfly Kisses and enjoyed it so so much! I've got a 44 days of horror going on and so far have watched We Go On, We Have Always Lived in the Castle, Late Phases and Cronos. Great list and will def add some of these to my list!
Cobweb was very good and creepy don’t know why people don’t talk about it.
Killer Clowns from Outer space
Thanks sooo much for your recommendations!!!! I haven’t heard of Guillermo del Toro’s movie that you mentioned and a few older ones.
You guys should watch Tales of Halloween, it's really good
Tales of Halloween. It a fun watch.
Ok so these movies aren't necessarily halloween movies but if you like the thing you should definitely watch 30 days of night!!
Why wouldn't they be Halloween movies? They're horror movies.
Love this vid concept
Tales of Halloween yall!
My go to halloween movies.
Fright night 1 & 2
Tales from the crypt Demon knight.
Monster house.
Return of the living dead.
WOOOO THANKS
You're at the top of your game! Love your content. Happy spooky season!
I really liked this video and your sugestions.
I would recommend "holidays" for those who liked "trick or treat"
I hope Carmichael Manor is better than the second and third Hell House LLC
Actually Terrifier isn't the first time people can see Art The Clown but he is in Terrifier more than in the first movie he appears in the first movie Art The Clown was in is All Hallows' Eve but I do love Terrifier it's a fun watch and I'll definitely check out Midnight Meat Train since you said it was like Terrifier!!!!!!!!!!!!!
How in the he'll did Trick or Treat come out in 2007? That has to be a mistake. Where does the time go???
Creepshow is one of my favorites Ben watching both forever
Some great recs! Interested to check out cobwebs
Im more surprised you didnt say terrifier 2 with it lol
Okay so I just now finished watching Cobweb (like very excitedly after this recommendation) and sadly I really disliked it. Probably just down to differing tastes.
I LOVED the cinematography and most of the acting so i got through the film pretty easily. However i felt the plot was predicable and something we've seen a million times over. I didn't really like the effects in the film and no ones decisions made sense to me (apart from Peter's). I kinda watched the whole thing expecting it to get better but it actually got worse.
On reflection i think i enjoyed everything but the final act. They built the tension quite well i think. but the last 20 mins is a 0/10 for me while the rest is a solid like 6
Have you seen the Houses that October Built ?
Where did you get your shirt!!!
I like your shirt
I showed my buddy cobweb yesterday and told him give it 5 yers and it will be on everyone’s horror movies to watch in October , in 5 years. It took one day to see it on a list lol poor movie came out the week of Barbie haha
Haven’t seen this mentioned yet, so if you enjoyed Trick R’ Treat I recommend Tales of Hallowen (2015). It’s a campy anthology and while some of the stories are a hit or miss, it’s definitely a fun time.
This is the best answer^
the original "Night of the Demons" is another great movie for Halloween. Also the documentary "Cropsey" gives creepy autumn vibes. 🤘
Yep!
In the Mouth of Madness by John Carpenter has one of the best fall/halloween vibe imo but it does not seem to be well known
Prince Of Darkness and In The Mouth Of Madness are double-bill gold in my home... (Also, Big Trouble In Little China and They Live)
Also Tales Of Halloween 2015 there are 10 short stories in the same town.
Love Tales of Halloween! Good suggestion for a replacement.
To be fair, the opening scene of Creepshow does show a house with a Jack o' Lantern in the window, so it does start off with a Halloween vibe. 🎃
I loved Cobweb so much! I've been recommending to everyone. Was hoping you were gonna do an individual review for it but still got excited when you brought it up in this video 👍
So happy you mentioned hell house! That place is a half hour from where I live and i help run ghost hunts in that place. It's actually super creepy inside the house. I went in by myself a bunch of times and man the silence is deafening and always feels like something is just constantly watching you. I've had many creepy stories about what I've experienced in that place. Love it! And the crew that did that movie are super nice and super humble too!
I'm surprised she didn't note it was a trilogy, and all 3 were GOOD.
I had no idea the house is real! Thought it was a set lol
@@autumrose6240 they kept some of the blood on the walls still which is super cool. When I first walked in I was like a kid in a candy shop haha running around to all the key points in the house. It's a very cool place!
@@pablodelsegundo9502 I really enjoyed the first and third one myself! Not so much the second 🤣
i really hope to visit that house someday! the hell house trilogy are my comfort horror movies lol.
I would say if you are a fan of either the Blair Witch Project or Hell House LLC, you cannot go wrong with The Houses October Built. One of the best Halloween movies I've ever seen. I watch this every year now. The sequel is quite good too.
Ugh yes I love this movie! I rewatch every year. Didn’t even know it had a sequel!
I've never seen Hell House LLC but The Houses October built immediately came to mind when it was described in the video. I'll definitely have to check out the sequel!
Heather - And let me add "The Collingswood Story" to your list...despite the 'tech' being dated (oh, the sound of 'dial-up internet' 😂), the ending is *still* creepy as can be.
Coming from a person who believes that a cop does not watch cop shows a Doctor does not watch Doc shows, I do not gravitate to Gory because of life experiences, I love Jump scares like TheUnforgotten TheWatcher OpenHouse DonnieDarko ChainsawMasscre2003 Annabelle2014 FinalDestination2....
I love Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark! It definitely deserves the Halloween classic status.
A fun movie to watch about vampires that's a mockumentary is "What We Do In The Shadows". It's so funny and campy and smart! Highly recommend, I had to watch it for one of my classes for college lol
That is a great recommendation! I had so much fun watching it that I had to purchase it!
& it's a TV series on FX/Hulu 🦇
I love this video! I finally had my husband watch trick or treat, he’d never seen it and I didn’t realize I had never had him watch it. He loved it, I love the creep show movies, the second one is my favorite. I love the Halloween franchise and I absolutely love the movie urban legend. Your list is gold!
Finally some love for Cobweb! I loved it, and was astounded to see the low scores on letterboxd.
will watch later since i’m at work but i had to run to the comments to say that i love this video idea!
I love this idea and wouldn't mind seeing more videos like it (maybe Christmas/winter, aliens, slashers, etc.). Thank you.
I was expecting The Houses October Built to be the recommended movie for people that liked Hell House, LLC.
I was happily surprised that it was something else.
Great list!
Or Haunt. I was expecting either of those lol.
Houses October Built was fun. The sequel was trash
Unpopular opinion but I like the first Terrifier far more than the second. I'll have to check out Midnight Meat Train. Thanks!!!
MMT is good especially on the first watch
Same
I think the second one is better
The second film was way better
I think the second is extremely overrated. It’s poorly written and sloppily paced. And the gore/kills were more laughable than grotesque like the first. The only part I really enjoyed was the score/soundtrack.
I loved Cobweb. I bought it on DVD. 🎃 it has the perfect Halloween vibes.
This year I'm specifically challenging myself to watch a horror movie that I haven't seen every day of October, so this video was very helpful lol
If you like ‘Trick r Treat,’ you should definitely watch ‘Tales of Halloween.’ It’s a really fun Halloween themed anthology film!
the makeup is SERVING Sarah ! 😍😍🤧 i love it
If you like anthology movies, "From a Whisper to a Scream" is pretty good. I saw it earlier this month, and besides some cheesy, campy, and some funny moments, it was pretty good overall!
Clive Barker’s Midnight Meat Train is good and has a twist at the end that people will not see coming. I am very fond of Halloween III Season of the Witch. Carpenter wanted to not repeat the Michael Myers story and wanted a different tale of Halloween for other movies. Now that is what is happening with AHS and all Mike Flanagan’s projects in a TV arch. Do this again! Loved it!
I watched Butterfly Kisses on your recommendation a few months ago and that movie had a jump scare that got me SO good I broke out in a cold sweat and needed a break lol I loved it though!
I do "Company of Wolves" every Halloween, as well as re-read Angela Carter's original stories that inspired it.
If you liked Terminator then watch Maniac Cop 2, great mix of action and horror
If you liked Final Destination then watch Soul Survivor (1983)
Speaking about anthology movie's...why is nobody talking about John Ritter's "terror tract"?
Please Tell me you are Raven Acid Bath Princess of The Darkness ???💚💚💚💚💚💚💚 forgive me I'm way late to this class
I love The Borderlands (Final Prayer). Really creepy film. I enjoyed Scary Stories, would have preferred if were constructed more like Trick'r'Treat or Creepshow. I get tired of the "misunderstood ghost" cliche. Some other suggestions for Halloween, the original The Fog, for people who like the Saw movies, check out The Abominable Dr. Phibes. Speaking of Vincent Price, any of the Roger Corman Edgar Allan Poe movies, plus William Castle's House on Haunted Hill and The Tingler. For the Midsommar crowd, try The Wicker Man and Let's Scare Jessica to Death. And, of course, my personal Halloween must watch, the original Night of the Living Dead. Great video, will have to check out Cobweb!
I love Trick 'r Treat, Creepshow and Creepshow 2 and I'll check out the movie Southbound thanks for putting it in there as well!!!!!!
My mum and her boyfriend watched Midnight Meat Train thinking it was going to be mainly a thriller and they got a horrific (no pun intended) scare. They suffered through it hahaha
Excellent picks! I'm a horror nerd so I've seen almost all of them, but will definitely check out Butterfly Kisses, though, because I had never heard of that one before.
i feel like people who love Terrifier love it, almost exclusively, for Art the Clown, not necessarily the gore. His appearance, expressions, and personality are the most interesting thing about the movies. Remove Art and a massive amount of its cult following is gone, myself included.
The best and most obvious recommendation would be IT because Pennywise is also a murderous clown with an eccentric and addicting personality. The scene where Pennywise jokingly pretends to eat the kids arm after climbing out of the fridge, i could see Art doing that same joke. They both have a psychotic sense of humor that's very fun.
Haunt or House of 1000 Corpses (for Captain Spaulding and the films grit) are also solid recommendations
Trick r treat ----> tales of halloween (even though it's a halloween movie).
Scary stories to tell in the dark FREAKS ME OUT
I always rewatch Donnie Darko & May every Halloween ❤
I love May!
whenever u post i'm like 😍❤😍❤😍😍❤😍😍❤😍❤😍❤😍😍❤😍
Terrifer is awful lol not even because of the level of violence....It just seems like a made for DVD movie.
I LOVED Scary Stories, my type of horror film has changed a lot since I had my daughter and this is my fave type of scary film. Cobweb I had no idea what it was about, I've totally missed it at the cinema so will have to wait until it arrives on DVD. I would like to add The Mortuary Collection to the list, I really enjoyed that, and I have tracked Butterfly Kisses down on UA-cam for free, so I'll give it a look soon!! Thanks for the recommendations....spooky season here we come!! Autumn rules!!!
I thought they did a great job with scary stories
I really enjoyed your "if you liked this movie, watch this one, comparisons. I found it very enjoyable, just like I always enjoy watching your Tier lists! Thank you for another awesome video Sarah!
I agree I LOVED Cobweb it just had perfect vibes.
Hell House was so disappointing. Cool concept though
i loved cobweb too!!! for some reason it gave me coraline vibes
If you like American Pie watch Audition
I’ll try to watch Cobweb! Seeing you love it makes me wanna see what it’s about! Thank you! 🖤
If you like halloween watch Alice sweet alice
I adore you girl!!!
I’ve seen most of these but I’m so excited to see Cobweb. I never watch trailers because I prefer the element of surprise!!❤️
Excellent video. I've seen them all and appreciate the comparisons. I would probably pair Halloween (1978) with The Town That Dreaded Sundown (1976) but I have no argument with both Urban Legend and Scream as apt companions...
Hey that last one, when you say Scary Stories, is this based on that kids book series? I remember one of my English teachers reading the first one when I was in the 4th grade. Sadly it scared me so much he had to stop because I kept screaming due to him raising his voice at the end. At the time I didn't realized I had sensory issues so sudden loud noises got to me. But anyway I was just curious.
It is!
please PLEASE review 'No One Will Save You' tomorrow
What about bad candy, it is pretty fun set on a Halloween Night
Thank you for the recommendation! I haven't heard about this one yet, and even Corey Taylor is in it! I have to watch it tonight
Thanks for the recc’s! I’m gonna watch Cobweb tonight 🕸️
We actually "meet" Art the Clown the first time in the anthology All Hallows Eve from 2013.
HELLBENT (2004) is a really fun halloween horror if you haven't seen it!
5:49 if you liked this film… then I recommend Shadow Of The Wraith (2001).
"Butterfly Kisses" EXCELLENT recommendation!!!! Luv it & hadn't ever heard of it ❤🎉
Don't forget about HAUNT 😊
really love ❤️ this movie
Or The Houses that October Buildt
🎃 🎃 🎃 🎃 🎃 🎃
Urban Legend, Butterfly Kisses on Tubi, Tubi the GOAT.
Damn this is a great idea for a video I wish I thought of it 😂
I watched Butterfly Kisses after you rec'd it a while ago and idk why but it got under my skin and scared me so much lol. 10/10 check out Butterfly Kisses everyone!!!!
urban legend is a good call also people should check out campfire tales if they haven't as well
I am rewatching a lot of queer horror movies this year: Hellbent, Freaky, M3GAN, Bride of Chucky, Bite Marks, They/Them, and Gay Bed and Breakfast of Terror.
Here's a random list I came up for the holiday that wasn't mentioned. This ranges from movies to tv shows to anime
(Mostly just horror not really Halloween.)
MOVIES
Ginger Snaps
Death Note (2006)
Death Note II: The Last Name
TV SHOWS
Buffy The Vampire Slayer
Angel
Wednesday
Death Note (tv drama) 2015
ANIME
Hellsing
Blood The Last Vampire
Vampire Hunter D
Wolf's Rain
Princess Mononoke
Death Note
Serial Experiments Lain
Betterman
Berserk
Kara no Kyoukai
Elfen Lied
Blood Trinity
Tokyo Babylon
FMA 0'3 (has horror elements much darker than Brotherhood)
Evangelion (maybe? has horror elements in it lol)
-----------
SIDE NOTE:
Also I feel like the Faculty doesn't get much love it also was Scream inspired, paying homage to alien movies like; Body Snatchers and The Thing. So if you want something similar to Scream and Urban Legend then check out The Faculty.
I also have a winter horror list (Like John Carpenter's The Thing) and summer as well. (I Know What You Did Last Summer for example).
Halloween themed horrors love watch ever year.
Halloween 3
Haunt (2019)
Tales of Halloween (2015)
All hallows eve
The Mortuary Collection (2019)
Boys in the trees
The fog
Night of the demons
Great comparisons but I'd sooner pair Hell House LLC against The Houses October Built ✌️💀
Love all of your content...but really enjoyed the format of "if you liked"...."then watch"...
