hi
Can you tell me if your code works in New Zealand? I have a friend there I just told about Shudder and your channel and I mentioned that you had a code to sign up for Shudder. Will they have any success using your code in another country?
I love shudder
I feel like a Christmas Horror Movie Tier List would be fun as well!
I was thinking something similar, she should do other Seasonal Countdowns for Winter, Summer, and maybe Spring?
Violent Night with David Harbour gets released this year so that would be fun.
she sorta has one. ...top ten not tier list tho
Yess Krampus would be great to add to that!!!
Silent Night, Deadly Night (1984) will always have a place in my heart. In the 1980's, in college, my friend had to go to ten different video rental stores to find it to play at a christmas party and I was loving it, but then a couple people got mad and said we had to stop it and I never got to see the ending for decades. They wouldn't even tolerate some of us watching it in one room while they were in another room, two wet blankets ruined it for everyone. Theaters refused to screen it. It was so hard to find!
When you mentioned Ginger Snaps I screamed “THANK YOU” 😂 that movie will never get enough love in my opinion.
Same!
I watched all three yesterday ❤ love them
goated movie
My husband thinks I’m so weird when I say that Sleepy Hollow is my comfort movie. When I’m sick in bed, pop that one any time of year. The best. 😂
Also I recently watched Gonjiam for the first time because of you and when I tell you I dove into the pillows on the couch and watched the rest of the movie peaking over the pillow. That had me stressed. So good!
same everyone I know thinks im weird cuz IT is my comfort movie.

Halloween III is the most halloween movie out there for me, they keep reminding us about it through the movie too!
I'm so glad you mentioned and like Haunt! It's my favorite Halloween horror film and not enough people talk about it or have even heard of it.
Eh.. it's ok
Haunt is awesome 🤗🎃
@@malalias3772 what podcast?:)
A lot of people talked about it when it first came out, most didn't like it. That's why it isn't talked about much these days. It's just kind of forgotten because it wasn't well liked so it didn't have staying power for most people.
@@elphbwckd212 Good thing opinions are subjective.
Last year I got AMC+ which includes shudder and a couple other streaming apps combined for $24 for the whole year; Black Friday special. This sale was available for a week plus if I remember correct. I’m really hoping they do that again. Just wanted to share that with you all hoping you can take advantage same as me and my family did.
I was able to get it on time too. Oddly enough I barely watched it all year. I just started really using it towards the end of the summer and on. There’s a lot of good stuff on there too. I’ve only been using Shudder from it mostly which I’ve always had on and off.
ua-cam.com/video/h8nU5-KLi-s/v-deo.html
Most of my favorite Halloween movies are kids movies lol. Halloween 1978 is the best one imo but the following several are all kids ones, Hocus Pocus, Beetlejuice, Casper, Ernest Scared Stupid lol etc. I really feel Nightmare Before Christmas is hard to outdo as a Halloween film
I feel like the only adult that will seek out and watch Casper meets Wendy with Hilary duff lmao
Ernest scared stupid was so amazing for me when I was a kid I must’ve watched it at least 50-100 times
In addition to your mentions, some of the perennial watches in our home were The Halloween That Almost Wasn't (1979), The Worst Witch (1986), Garfield's Halloween Adventure (1985), & of course, It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown (1966).
Omg ALL HALLOWS EVE … The first film that starred Art the clown, that should’ve been on this list 100% .. definitely very Halloween-y! Check it out if you haven’t already!
I wish they only made the first one because the other two were horrible
Return to Oz is classic and it’s a good introduction to horror for kids
Yeah, the monkeys with the wheels on their feet have stayed with me from childhood. When I rewatched it as an adult I had a big “Oooooohhhhhhh” lightbulb moment.
Also Something Wicked This Way Comes is pretty good and takes place during Fall
Night of the Demons, House of a 1000 Corpses, WNUF Halloween Special & Idle Hands are some other excellent recommendations!
House of 1000 corpses isn’t on it? (Haven’t finished the video yet). That’s a bummer. I saw it in the theater 3 times.
idle hands and night of the demons (both original and remake) are also some good halloween horror movies i must say that didn't get included! I would also say the House of the devil is kind off a halloween movie since it takes place around fall!
I actually started my spooky list with idle hands this year!
@@nancyjohnson518 i think i need to see that one myself before halloween, such a fun halloween movie!
I can’t believe you mentioned Boo! That was my very first horror film that I watched and literally no one knew or heard of the movie. I was almost convinced that it never happened. Had nightmares of that body covered in a white sheet in a wheel chair. I found it at Block Buster back then lol.
I personally love The Halloween Tree and watch it every year. I own the VHS, DVD, and digital version and have loved it since it came out and feel it’s a huge reason I’m a horror fan. It’s technically a kid’s movie but so worth it. And Ray Bradbury narrates it!
Your tier lists are personally my favorites and I've been waiting for a Halloween movie list since the start of this month! 👻
For your next tier list, you should rank horror movies with or pertaining to families like (your next, Krampus, ready or not…)
The Changeling is one for me. I know it's an older movie but I got Shudder and finally watched it. Halloween isn't explicitly shown but it's Autumn in this huge creepy old haunted house.
Trick or treats is one. And I can’t believe night of the demons didn’t make it on here it’s iconic!
I was very familiar with "Night of the Demon", but didn't realize there was separate movie(s) called "Night of the Demons" that are not related to the older, non-pluralized movie. I'll have to check that out. Which are you recommending - the 1988 one, or the 2009 one?
@@dreadroberts5627 the 1988 one.
The Crow takes place on Halloween. The Nightmare Before Christmas starts on Halloween and is about the people from Halloween Town. They are close enough to horror movies. Also my favorite 2 movies ever.
Haunt is so good and underrated!
Also I am absolutely loving your natural eyebrows and your style! ❤
I was just repopulating my stack of blu rays for my spooky season, but you reminded me of a few that I’m gonna add. Haunt was a good choice as is sleepy hollow. Thanks as always for your great lists. They are one of my favorite things about your channel. Happy Halloween!
Yay I'm so excited to watch this, & maybe get more movie ideas for the remainder of spooky season 😁
Could you do a video ranking every short in the vhs franchise?? Maybe after the new one comes out this month!! I’d love to see your thoughts on each short.
Great video as always, Sarah! Love your tier lists! Sadly I've seen most of these (I'm an all year round horror viewer lol) but I also got some great recommendations, thanks! :]
I love your tier lists so much, never stop them
So happy you put Cry Wolf in mandatory! It definitely deserves more recognition!
If you compare the Zombie Remakes to themselves the first one is alright, but comparing them to the original 1 & 2 is like comparing a grainy piece of wood to pure diamonds
P.S. I do love 2018 & really like Kills but 1978 is god tier, imo
BLESS YOU for always talking about Gonjiam!
I’m surprised you didn’t mention House of 1000 Corpses… Perhaps Zombies most Halloween themed movie
Excited for this one!!
You’re my latest UA-cam obsession😂❤️
BEEN WAITING FOR ANOTHER TIER LIST VIDEO !!
This is such a fantastic list! I absolutely could not go without my Shudder subscription!
I watch Idle Hands just about every October. I know it definitely leans more into comedy, but there’s plenty of gore and Halloweeny stuff in it.
Yes thank you Sarah an upload from you is what i needed today
Great list! Added a few more to my already too long list of horror movies I have yet to watch
when you said "How many times will i say Halloween?" I busted out the notes and put a 1 every time you said Halloween and according to my notes you said Halloween 81 times you're welcome.
Ghostwatch a BBC tv movie is also a good Halloween experience. Very fascinating movie and history. I saw it eight years ago I can only imagine experiencing it the night it aired. It's on the Internet Archive now.
I watched it live, way before all the reality stuff so it was a shocker!😮
So glad you included Ginger Snaps and May! Halloween isn’t Halloween for me if I don’t watch Ginger Snaps. I also always want to watch Idle Hands. It is a stoner horror comedy from 1999, and the climax takes place at a Halloween party. It’s so much fun!
loving your hair, it looks so good on you ❤️🔥
Keep up the amazing work, you are one of my favorite channels!
Thank you thank you!! This is the specific list that I needed!! “Halloween cinema” thank you!! 👍🏼
Yesssss. When I look up Halloween Movies, I want movies that take place on or around Halloween.
OH MY GOD, I love that you included cry wolf! By far one of my favourite early 2000s movies. I remember when my parents got this at block buster, just incredible!
Hi. 😁 I just wanted to say thank you for the list. I added so many movies to my watchlist & I absolutely love your channel!! 🎃🧡
Night of the Demons is one I watch every Halloween. But, it's also a year round for me.
the return of the tier list which I love
Yes! Totally agree with your sentiment on what counts as a "Halloween movie" btw what website do you use for making your tier lists? It looks really cool!
Thanks for including 31!, so underrated
it'd be cool if you released your custom made tier lists on patreon, you always make the best lists and i love the icons you choose
Great video! 👏🏼🎃👏🏼
hell house llc is one of my favs of all time and ill never shut up about it. so glad you included it!
You are awesome! You just have a perfect mix of facts and humor. 💜🎃
Thanks for this 🎃🖤
I would include night of a 1000 corpses since it also plays during Halloween
Just watched it yesterday for the first time and it was definitely an experience! For me I think I would put it in all year round
Night of 1000 Corpses??🤔
Omg you mentioned what we do in the shadows! My favorite show rn!! would love to know your thoughts on it
I love the show Colin is my fave or maybe Nandor 😭
Great list! Some new ones for me. I would love to see a list on foreign horror.
There’s a movie called Boys in the Trees. Perfect Halloween vibes!
I saw it for the first time on Netflix a few years ago, but it seems to only be available on UA-cam now. It’s SO SO good. I can’t believe more people don’t talk about it.
Your description of "Boo" sold me! I'm ready for terrible acting and Halloween vibes! It's on Plex (in Canada, at least). Wait, when did Plex become a streaming service? Anyways, great tier list! Happy spooky season!
Great catagories!
So thrilled to see HAUNT on here! I absolutely love this movie. 🤡🔪🎃👻 I just ordered the Ghost mask from Trick or Treat Studios 🧡
I finally managed to watch Blair Witch 2013 (or 2016? i don't remember but the one you love !) and i must say i completely agree, it is so good but sadly ruined by the way too shaky camera, i loveeeeeeeeee that we got more time into the house by the end of it compared to The Blair Witch Project !
I'm Glad you put both the houses October Built on the list. I think its needed to see both due to the ending of the second one also affecting the first
I agree, Haunt is 100% underrated and it's also in my mandatory list.
Great list, some I haven't seen will def check them out thx.
House of 1000 corpses is mandatory for me every year 🎃🤘
H Ends wasn’t a trainwreck, just wasn’t for you
I haven't seen many of these Halloween movies yet. I love growing my list each year. Thanks for the suggestions. And you're right, there are just not enough Halloween movies. There is one movie I would add to this list, and that would be Halloween 3: Season of the Witch. It's cheesy and silly and just good ol' Halloween fun. If I was to rank it, I would put it in the Mandatory slot. I watch this one every Halloween season, along with Trick R Treat, Sleepy Hollow, Halloween 1978, & Hell House LLC.
Thanks for the recommendations! "May" is one of the most underrated movies of all time. Angela Bettis is criminally underrated. You should give Tales of Halloween another look. It's actually really good and it's got Alex Essoe from Starry Eyes. Haunt is the perfect Halloween movie. Haven't seen 31 yet, but will put on my list. I need to re-watch Lords of Salem, I remember really digging it and one can never go wrong with House of 1,000 Corpses (basically Zombie oozes Halloween vibes). Here's my long obnoxious list (sorry I just had to!):
*My Mandatory Go-to's
1) Halloween 3 (best Halloween vibes ever)
2) Terror in the Aisles 1983 (basically a mashup of 70 classic horror films).
3) Fright Night 1985
4) Suspiria 1977
5) The Changeling 1980
6) Children of the Corn 1983
7) Night of The Demons 1985
8) An American Werewolf in London
9) When a Stranger Calls 1979 (at least the first 20 minutes)
10)The Funhouse 1981
*Good to have on while your passing out candy
1) Rocky Horror Picture Show
2) Night of the living Dead (either version)
3) Carnival of Souls
4) Nosferatu
5) Invasion of the Body Snatchers 1978
6) Salem’s Lot 1979
7) Dark Night of the Scarecrow 1981
8) Halloween 2 (1981)
9) The Hunger 1983
10) Creepshow 1 and 2
*Horror Comedy/Fantasy
1) It’s the Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown
2) Student Bodies
3) Once Bitten 1985
4) Teen Wolf 1985
5) Return of the Living Dead 1985
6) Bride of Frankenstein
7) Labyrinth
8) Return to Oz
9) Clue 1985
10) Who Spooked Rodney? (random after school special I saw in the 80's!)
Night of the Demons is on Shudder and I think it's a pretty good Tis the Season film! Some of the effects are good and there were parts that had me TENSE. It's also set during a Halloween party! It is pretty gory though
Just what I needed☺️
Great video! Have you done a ranking of all 13 movies in the HALLOWEEN series?
I agree 100% that she should. Some of them are cheesy but still faves!
ugh i'm so happy you love 31 :)) it's one of my all-time faves and all the critics gave it crap ratings :(
My brother loves The House That October Built, he's building a DnD game around it and he's recommended that I watch it. I feel like this is my sign to finally do it.
I was so looking forward to Halloween Town even though it is a childrens movie
You’re my favorite Tier-lister! 😆
Thanks for the recommendations.
Jon Keeyes' "Hallow's End" (2003) and "American Nightmare" (2002) movies were also both took place on Halloween as well.
Love your content.🌻
Discovered Trick R’ Treat this year and it’s my favorite Halloween movie now!
Maybe not considered horror but Donnie Darko is definitely a Halloween movie, and so is E.T! Both of these have creepy/scary moments and both take place during Halloween.
More films I love that take place on Halloween I'd totally recommend...🎃🎃🎃🎃🎃🎃🎃🎃🎃🎃🎃🎃🎃
NIGHT OF THE DEMONS (1988)
NIGHT OF THE DEMONS 2 (1994)
SATAN'S LITTLE HELPER (2004)
ALL HALLOWS EVE (2013)
HOUSE OF 1000 CORPSES (2003)
H3 SEASON OF THE WITCH (1982)
IDLE HANDS (1999)
WNUF HALLOWEEN SPECIAL (2013)
HACK-O-LANTERN (1988)
JACK-O (1995)
THE BARN (2016)
CANDY CORN (2019)
LADY IN WHITE (1988)
FLESHEATER (1988)
THE HOLLOW (2004)
HELL NIGHT (1981)
MISCHIEF NIGHT (2013)
BERKSHIRE COUNTY (2014)
CHUD II : BUD THE CHUD (1989)
DARK NIGHT OF THE SCARECROW (1981)
OMG, I'm so glad you mentioned Lady in White, such a great Halloween flick, very nostalgic and Dark Night of the Scarecrow is one of those flicks that haunts you forever if you saw it too young. Watcher in the Woods is another one. I haven't seen many of these, looks like I have my work cut out for me. 😀🎃🎃🎃
I NEEEEED you to make a list of great vampire movies if you haven't done that! I would love that
Happy Halloween
the Into the Dark series has two episode-movies on halloween for anyone that wants more 😊
Love your videoooos
There is Hellbent which takes place on Halloween too and I love that movie 😍
We need to respect how often you post over both your channels, also congratulations on being pregnant btw
MAY is in my top 5 movie list 💜 happy to see someone finally mention this movie
Bro I could listen to you talk abt horror for hours while cleaning my room but I could never watch it it scares me 😭💀 it’s so fun and the movies are done so we’ll sometimes
Obviously not movies; but I strongly recommend two episodes from the half-hour television series, Tales from the Darkside (1984-88):
"Halloween Candy". Just scary fun.
"The Cutty Black Sow". Genuine horror.
Perfect Halloween night entertainment. The last should be watched closer to midnight.
I was hoping you will include Thankgiving &The Rental on this list of holloween movies.
Haunt is truly such an underrated gem, love that movie so much for both halloween or a general watch
ua-cam.com/video/h8nU5-KLi-s/v-deo.html
Yeee crywolf In mandatory!!! Was hoping you'd have it on the list.
i think you'd be into the barn (2016) which is an 80s inspired slasher set on halloween! really underrated kills and shots
At the beginning of The Blair Witch Project, there’s a store front with Halloween decorum!
I love halloween horror movies. Nice list.
Happy Halloween 🎃🎃🎃🧡🖤🧡🖤💋😇
Cannot believe you love Halloween 2018! I hated it. I am going to try again, but I saw it in the theater and I remember how many awful holes and confusing stuff was in it. :(
I agree about Haunt. It's criminally underrated.
Boys in the Trees (2016) is one I enjoy even though it is not extreme in scares but it is worth a watch for the season!
I love that movie so much!
Thanks 😀
Night of the Demons (original)
It's not Halloween season for me unless I watch Hocus Pocus at least twice
