#Diablo4 #storyexplained #lore #diabloiv - Ігри
I'm a 32 yr old mom...i don't play video games, nor do I plan to. I watched this entire thing 😅
If anything, play the first one and pay attention to the lore. The story is the absolute best out of the 4 main games. It was released in the 90s so it has almost no hardware requirements. You can even emulate it on your phone with a playstation 1 emulator.
Age nor parentel status doesnt stop you from trying
The story line of this game is insanely good
@@b3games146 i think she was jus sayin that the video was entertaining
Lol cool
Donan.
The line “he cried until his tears turned to fire” broke my heart. It’s truly a terrifying thought. Such a good game.
I almost cried hearing the pained groveling of Donan at the vision of his son, incredible voice acting.
Ngl that was his only good voice acting, it was craaaaap when he first finds out about his son. It sounds like he’s laughing.
@@ImABigStoner idk, I’ve seen men in traumatic situations make sounds like that and I’ve been traumatized and made sounds like that, its just pained releases of air, I think it was spot on. Then again everyone’s different friend and have different ways of reacting so your perspective is valid.
He couldn’t catch a break, not gonna lie I started tearing up. What made it worse is I have a 4 yo son and had a dream he died the night before I got to that quest, so when it happened it hit extra hard.
@@qbxricky5315 no shame in crying at the worst fear of a parent. Thank you for sharing my son is almost 9, I wish you peaceful sleep going forward I’ve struggled with night terrors myself.
Yah I dropped a few tears
Donan dying by a random ass environment hazard is the most shameful way of killing off a Haradrim legend. I give the story 7/10.
What? You telling me you don't think death by tree is heroic?
i laughed my butt off when that happened
Yeah that was lame as fuck, but so random that it was funny too, killed by one of the most pathetic mobs. That part was like: "We almost finish the story, so any of us has to die right now for the drama feeling." Lorath is the new Deckard Cain, Neyrelle is young and already loose a hand, Donan son and his friends are dead so... He will take the shot for the team."
Yeah I was ticked off by that as well
5/7
Near the end I was strongly feeling like siding with Lilith was the correct conclusion.
Same. I was mad I didn’t get the choice
I originally thought so too, but she just wants to use humans for her agenda. Shed end up being a primevil herself after her plan with no one to oppose her, and her rule would be literal hell on earth.
@@YoungSweat why would she destroy her own creation?
@@mobunagathevoiceofresistan801 she wouldn't destroy humans. It just would be a terrible world for people. The weak wouldnt survive , and the strong would be warlord tyrants .
I think that dilemma is one of the strongest points of the story. She is an excellent seductress and manipulator. Such a well written character. Worthy of the name Lillith, which has an association with succubi in traditional mythology if I'm not mistaken. Didn't double-check so that could be wrong.
Great video man, well done. This has to be the best custody battle I've been apart of
Donan.
Speaking of, am I the only one who thought his death was fairly contrived? Like "woops, accidentally backed into a death tree; how about I just bleed out here while the hero is standing right next to me hold a bunch of potions that can full heal me." Same with Neyrelle losing her hand. And as far as she's concerned how could she possibly think running off, whereabouts unknown and already weak before losing her hand to a Drowned of all things with a Prime Evil was a smart idea? Just feel like thats going need some 4D chess, galaxy-brain justification for that one
The whisper of the dead tricked donan into approaching, it is hell where everything there is trying to get you
@@tarps1151 That doesn't address the part where the hero has HEALING POTIONS readily available. Same with Neyrelle. What do these potions heal then? Stomach cramps?
@@omrin6834I always trick myself into thinking those potions don’t actually exist so I don’t have to rack my brain on how stupid some of these situations are
@@omrin6834 I'm pretty sure that those being ignored is a running thing with narrative in the setting. Injuries are treated with FAR too much weight for them to exist, let alone be dirt common. (If not cheap.)
I gasped at how cheap his death was lol
Donan - it was a great video. It’s nice to watch the story like this after seeing it in bits and pieces while playing the game. It really helps put it all together.
Donan's voice acting, oh my God,full of emotions that made me cry
What's weird to me is that they made such a big deal when Elias was trying summon that one lesser evil that starts with an "A". Andarial? Whatever it's called. That was supposed to be such a big threat. Then all of a sudden in act 5 Durial, another lesser evil comes out of no where. You beat him, and nothing more is said about it. Just seems lazy.
That's exactly what duriels role was in d2, he just showed up randomly and noone talked about him before or after
This is very well done! Definitely helps un-fog some areas where I wasn't completely paying attention, lol. Thankyou!
I think I'm missing something, because to me it seems like Lilith trying to help us by giving Humanity the power to fight the forces of hell without Heaven? She created Statuary to escape the endless war between Angels and demons, then was betrayed by her Angel Husband/Baby dad( who killed their son btw) Imprisoned then freed only to be betrayed by the very humans she was trying to help?? I get that she's a demon and was making us worship sin, and that's bad (I guess), but she wanted more than anything to free us from the need of heaven to protect us from the prime Evils, and none of that mattered! We still thought of her as the enemy, the mother of all Mankind! Besides from the murderous intent that comes with following her Lilith had our best intentions in mind when she was freeing us from the trapping morality and returning us to the path of sin, and we had a obligation to follow her, I mean, she is Mother after all!!
Nope. She and inarius are in conflict, becsuse she wanted to use her children (nephalems) for her on purpose (rule over sanct+hell) and inarius disagreed. Then the story really begun and inarius locked her, because heaven and hell didnt know about sanctuary and if she couldnt be stopped, then they will know and eternal conflict will continue event there, with humanity. She escaped. She doesnt care about humanity, nephalems, she just wants power and that is all (the sin war trilogy by Richard knaak - the best books about diablo). Then heaven and hell learn about sanct and here we are. Its all her fault
Donan.
May he rest in peace. Such a great story. Just finished it the other day but had to come listen to all the events in one go. Thanks for this, goodjob.
I've replayed it a few times just to catch up to where I am in the game now 😅
Very entertaining and intriguing, well done, thats for doing this in a very relaxed yet succinct presentation. A rather rough high:)
Donan!
Thanks for creating this video summary! Great job on the narration too!
I will say that when the end of the campaign hit me with credits rolling i was completely surprised. I missed a couple things in the middle, but it did not feel like the end at all
Also donan
It was bs to explain a dlc.
Donan.
Thanks man, I really needed this video since I skipped all the dialogue and cutscenes to speed through the story. I only really started paying attention around Act 5, so trying to piece together everything wasn’t quite working out. I’m excited for the DLC!
Why skipping best part of game, ahhh todays kids without peace and patient.
@@zeljakis817maybe grinding and wanting to get to the end-game and be powerful is more important than paying attention to the storyline for a lot of us, personally I’ve never been one to take time for the storytelling when playing
So... what you're really saying is you skipped the story-beats to get through the story...
I had some weird glitches while playing through and had some HUGE holes in the storyline so this is great.
Donan. Awesome job on covering this story. Can't wait for more 😊
Donan
Thanks for the great video, laughs and explanations. I missed a few things in my play-through that this answered!
Amazing video. Thank you for your work
Donan!
What a great video, can't wait to see more of D4!
Been waiting for a diablo 4 explained video. Well done sir. Definitely earned another sub 👍
Been waiting for someone to drop this. Full watch from me. Much love brother.
Donan! Great content and some great narration too
Ironically, when I first saw this video is said, "God bless you." I enjoy your explain videos and I guess I got a little excited. 😂
Donan Thanks for this video, playing through the game kinda splits the story apart and by playing the game over like 2 weeks, the story can get messy. This was a nice recap to get an owerview what was going on.
Thank you! I got lost so I needed this too fully understand the story.
Dude thanks for the summary! That was epic
Well done. Commenting for algorithm. This deserves atleast a milly views
Donan. I was looking for a good breakdown of Diablo and am glad I've found yours. You've gained a new sub.
During act 2 the encounter between donan and Lilith , he initially thought it was a dream or vision. As soon as he realizes the danger, he tries to resist.
Donan
Appreciate your effort great vid my dude!
Good job brother
Donan.
Great vid, well done 👏
Donan. Great job with the synopsis. Great story. Dark and compelling.
Amazing. I just read the books and finished the game a couple weeks ago. Such a good refresher of the lore
Great job!
Donan went through all that shit only to die to a trash mob from a column. That's so Diablo.
Real Deckard Cain moment.
Welcome to hardcore.
this is fire content
thanks bro. subbed
Donan. This was great. While i havent played it i love listening to stories and learning about lore.
Top quality m8 you deserve I'll the subs
Great video!! I will say that this story really frustrated me at points. The cinematics were amazing, but the stupid things our characters say/do purely to move the plot forward or to create tension in the story made me sooo mad. Especially Donan's death??? I wasnt even shocked he died, it was the how of it that just made me just laugh. It was ridiculous.
I agree, Donan's death was VERY underwhelming.
I was profusely mad at how the player treats lilith like absolute evil and antagonist, instead believe the idiots who travel with us and even mephisto over lilith, the only reasonable sounding person in the entire campaign.
@@kpatelv607 her goal is to be reasonable sounding.
Her goal also doesn't mind in the slightest if the skin of your back is being eaten by dogs.
@@stuflames4769 sure, but the same applies to the church if they don't like you and same for mephisto, but for some reason our character and companion consistently sides with those 2 entities without question.
@@kpatelv607 at no point do we really side with Mephisto. He kind of simply pulls our bacon out of the fire for his own purposes and gets in our head until stabbitied in his own head with the soul stone.
The church is pretty much the reigning government of the land. We side with them because we are on the side of the people - there's no mysterious "for some reason" about it. Even if they are assholes, you don't work to dismantle the military and government when there's literal demons and murderous cannibals roaming the countryside and the very wilds are going insane.
And who is enabling and empowering these lurking evils?
Lilith.
Donan! Awesome recap, just finished the campaign yesterday, this was a great way to go through it all.
Cheapass death
You did this so well my friend I forgot some lil things cause I got to 50 in act four so I skipped slot to catches up
That first cut scene with Lillith in the church is astonishing... Gave me goosebumps.. If u havent seen the whole unedited scene I recommend you watch it.
Is it just me or was Lilith almost the good guy?
She was 😅
@alexduff159 not at all lol. She wants to use us (her children) to use as an Army to fight demons and angels. She doesn't actually care about us at all.. she's a fkn demon lol.
Eh, she wanted to use the people of sanctuary as her pawns against the heavens. Inarius wanted to kill everyone, and Lilith essentially wanted everyone to die in war against heaven. She's just manipulative. Inarius seconds thus, when he tells her she tricked him, helping her create sanctuary.
Almost... in the sense where "almost" doesn't make the cut.
Lilith does not make the cut of "good guy". She has a lot of good points, she creates a lot of good things - she creates the world of Sanctuary (with Inarius)!
But Lilith falls far, far short of being "the good guy". She falls far, far short of being "good" as well.
She corrupts everything she touches. I don't think she even means to, many times. I think she wants to do good, a lot of the time. Sometimes she even succeeds.
The thing is... the tragedy of it is... every time, she will muck it all up. Not like humans do - worse. That is her nature, and that is the nature she will inspire.
People that think she is the good guy are like the crazy woman that kills her husband in the Chapel at the start. You'd be the first to turn into a spouse killing maniac 😂
thank you for putting in effort and making something like this! -donan
Donan!
Awesome video
Donan
This was great summary of diablo 4 cut scenes and all just what I was looking for thanks.
Donan. What a great recap. Also, great puns all over. You are hilarious! 😂😂😂🎉
Donan
Thanks again for the video, enjoyed it
great video man, thank you very much
Thanks for making this video
Donan. Just finished the campaign yesterday. Wanted to make sure I didn't miss anything. I was super confused about how Mephisto is able to function while stuck in the souls tone as well. That portal popped up and I was like, "wait, what? How...." lol. Great video, man. Thank you!
Donan. Great job on the video dude
Super well explained
Donan
Great Explanation i really enjoyed hearing this.
Like a fool i skipped through alot of the story till mid way through act 3 where i realized this story was really good. Thank you for providing a great recap of events!
Thanks for the recap, I stopped in act 3. After a long break I forgot the story. This was a big help
I’m shocked you’re not getting more views! Don’t give up you’re gonna blow up dude
Thank you for the kind words! We will keep up the grind haha 👍
@@GreenLinksYT I agree! give youtube some time, your videos were recommended to me and I'm sure they will be for other people soon too
Donan. Loved the recap thank you
The story of every Diablo game can be condensed down to this:
Kill the bad guy.
donan!
i dont even skip anything i watch it on one sit
what a wonderful job !
Amazing video would love to see more Diablo lore/story’s from the other games and Donan!
Donan. Well done 😊 Enjoyed it
Loved this video. But what did you record the in-game footage on? A potato, or a Mac?
Donan. Thank you for producing and publishing this.
This was great... Thank you. D4 must have a Crusader class for the next DLC. It will be awesome for the lore in the game.
Donan. Thanks for the vid :)
No worries!
Donan! Enjoyed the video.
Donan! Thanks for the overview of the story.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Donan.
Thank you for putting out this video, after what happened with Immortal I knew I wouldn't buy this game but I enjoy the lore of the series so again. Thank you.
I have not played a single Diablo game but watched this entire thing after watching a few lore videos. So “Donan”
Thanks for all the hard work and great job!
Great vid!
Donan
Donan
Bit late to the video but wanted to catch up to the story as I had no patience to listen to the dialogues past first Act, so thanks algorithm for this video and of course you for making it. Subscribed!
Donan!
Great content!
Donan! Great vid
donan. was so cool. sick video :)
Donan. Honestly it sounded like doughnut because of your accent.
I watched it to the end am I am now tired. When I watched the game I honestly had no idea what was going on, but thanks to you I did. Thank you very much for your work I really appreciate it.
love it, full story in just under 2 hours
My favorite part is meeting Darude in the Sandstorm
Donan. Very well made…explained so much
People seems to forgot the first encounter of main character with the petals. See what happens in a world of only darkness, without light. That’s whats going to happen if we chose to side with Lilith. Instead Sanctuary now has no light, no dark, nothing. It’s like a newborn child now, no one knows where it’s going or is it going to be good or bad. But it’s the most reasonable choice.
One of the few who's wise enough . To come to that conclusion. And we agree to that out look . I desire would (True freedom )! And not from someone who would claim to know my place. The way we see it! they're both irredeemable fools!Who have learned nothing! And they are incapable of learning from the past. (You see), it's very human to error. But it's also human like to reflect. (After all) Humanity has survived this long without their help...
Sorry ,of there definition of helping.
Game has been incredible. Happy I understand a few of those things i missed since i played in a party
Very good story. Been debating if I should get. I just might now.
Barbosa : The world used to be a bigger place
Sparrow: Worlds still the same. There’s just less in it.
Something that’s gotten on my nerves with all franchises is they tend to build a world just to destroy it release after release, piece by piece.
Donan
Good stuff. Pretty decent story!
Someday we will have true character development choices in-game. We will see what happens when our choices changes our personalities and the world story we make.
that woud be nice
I was thinking same thing, but if they didn’t do it after this long hiatus of developing this game, I don’t have faith that they ever will
not all game need to have multiple ending and player choices. some story just need to be told as they are.
Donan.
Glad I checked out the story here, as I am too immersed in the gameplay to pay attention to it.
Watching this after each chapter so I understand what's going on :D
But how long is this game since the story of D3?
Donan. Good work.
It's funny during cut scenes necromancer have to deal with flashing lights on the minions icon...😂
Finally a all in all story explain! Thank u😊
You’re welcome 😊
Donan 😊 awesome telling 👏 thank you
Donan! great vid
50:05 The strange old man was also in diablo 2. your character finds the jade figurine that completes his collection.
He sails you from act II to act III in D2
Don-end.. love the campaign story.. although no story is perfect.. but the voice acting and performance really sells the campaign..
Love this 🎉❤
Thanks Donan 👌🏽
