Works like a charm. I also sprayed the areas in and around the black rubber belt on the left hand side in teh back with the cover removed. This printer has sat for years and probably had dust accumulated. I did everything up to and including printing a balck copy, started working after that! Great kudos to you and your fine presentation.

Here is what worked for me:
I know that the video above says that you should not have more than 25 sheets, but what I have found works is that if I have a stack of paper that just barely fits under the "snug" tab then the rollers seem to be able to pull the paper in.
It seems that if the stack of paper is too thin, then the roller tension is not enough to pull the sheet in.

Nice! I like how the printer doesn't work at all with no ink, then you buy ink to find out that the printer doesn't work.

- May I know to which device you have connected your printer? (For ex: Desktop, notebook, iPhone, iPad, android phone etc?
- If connected to computer may I know the operating system installed on it?
- Are you receiving any error message?
- May I know whether the wireless light on your printer is blinking or steady?

I was checking out a printer a friend has and issue with. It seems that nothing i do stops the printer from giving the computer a out of paper message. The paper is loaded correctly. I've tried what you suggested and a few more things but nothing has changed. Its a Photosmart C4795.

Any help out there my hp photosmart C4680 wont pick up or print i have done all the process but it says scanning and it never stop. At times it says black copying but nothing don't happpen i have done all the process unplug it clean the rolls you name it still saying scanning but it not scanning please help.
Using an HP Photosmart C4345 All-in-one and none of the fixes have been able to help (couldn't find any video for the C4340 series.) It is properly detecting paper when I make a copy but not when I try to print a document from the internet and just throws it into my print queue. I've never had an issue with it until today in fact I just printed a picture from a connected laptop (via Windows 7 homegroup) yesterday and it worked fine.
My C4600 does not have the ability to perform Step #3. There is no printer services button. Any suggestions?

Our printer is not printing correctly. It feeds the paper in way more than it should to start printing. I have tried a couple of these tips posted "paper feed cleaning," unplugging/restarting but that didn't help. Any suggestions?
Hi, my photosmart C4780 does not pull the paper. I have done all showed in the video. Two days ago it was working properly.

SOLVED (for us anyway): We had to go in through the back with a cloth when the printer was off, to clean the black rubber piece that is supposed to pickup the paper. We could see it spinning back there, and still covered in dust even after 3-4 cleaning attempts. Once it was fully cleaned, it started picking up the paper again.
Thank you! Just wasted a good 8 hours trying to fix a couple printers going by online tutorial videos and websites, and not a single one pointed in this direction. Finally got them both fixed and this is all they needed.

Hmm, Looks many people have trouble with this series of printers.
Anyway, mine Photosmart C4783 just give cracking noice when command to printer or copy, never pickup paper and then "Paper Jam" (only 6 months rarely used.)
I got before paper pickup issue with it and got fixed by HP.
I don't know why I didn't send it back and put it in "deep sleep" mode, leting it rest in one corner of my store and picked up another...;-)

This printer is driving me CRAZY. I've tried every single step you described, and NOTHING. It has become very frustrating. I've always had HP printers that worked perfectly, why isn't this one picking up the paper. Thanks for your help
my printer was working just fine until my pc fried and I had to install this printer into my new pc. (new operating system and from 32bit to 64bit if this makes a diff). I downloaded new drivers. but Now the printer has gone bizzurk. It continually and randomly is printing out blank paper and displaying "Insert Memory Card". I can't get it to stop beeping and spitting paper randomly. Can anyone lead me to help?
Nevermind. I was able to fix it with the Print and Scan Doctor.
hi, my HP Photosmart C4795 All-in-One Printer does not detect one of the cartiges and says that it has a cartige problem and then it says it has a paper jam, but i have tried all of the posible ways to solve it and nthing. there is no paper jam and i have pulled out and put back the ink cartidges multiple times... it oly detects the black one.and also when i open the front pannel, the cartidges donte move to the center lke they should.

None of this worked. Is there any thing I can do such as opening it up and cleaning it my self? I'm seriously about to give every HP printer a terrible review online.

My HP Photosmart c4750 was a gift, and it's a piece of crap. Right now, the control panel is stuck on "alignment cancelling," after it wouldn't align. AND the paper feeder takes paper half way and stops. None of the video tips work. The Photosmarter print is a piece of crap, and I bet HP knows it.
