Thanks - turns out I just had to force the carriage from the side it was stuck on. Shoved it over to the other side and slid it back and forth, and now it's good as new!

Printer makes a horrific noise, tells me I have a jam. Went through all these steps. Trouble started when I stopped a page from entering the feed incorrectly. Is there a repair for this without a $60 support bill?
My printer says clear carriage jam. I did all these steps and no go. Inside, on the right, there is a plastic piece attached to a spring that pops in and out. Well, it seems to go out and block the carriage when it is not supposed to. So the printer is jammed, but only because the timing of that piece is defective. Any quick fix for this other than the trash bin?

If you live outside the US/Canada Region please go to Google search and enter 'contact HP worldwide'. Your first option should be the site for contacting HP, when you click on it you will be prompted to choose your country/region.
I can't print anything because it says the ink cartridges can't move. Yet if I move them they move back to their original spot AND I can print the status report of my printer. PoS printer

To change the language, you can change the country in the lower left hand corner.

Clean all the ink from the right side including the cleaning tray with wet wipes properly, it worked for me.

How do you disassemble this type of printer?

this printer is garbage, burns through ink and broke even tho i barely use it. gonna buy a new one.

I already fixed it now the problem is with the print it comes out one side (alignment) it cuts out some parts of the work
Emmanuel Musi If you are copying, make sure you aligned the copy correctly on the glass. I made that mistake once.
