I love all these variations. They're all extremely unique Guitarists - unique being the critical word. It would be a boring world if they all sounded the same, from phrases to tone. Much like the gene pool, we need variation...different interpretations.
He is with two members of The Band of Gypsies although Mitch Mitchell was also in the Jimi Hendrix Experience. Billy Cox is the last surviving member of either of those two lineups, 80 years of age today. Quite an achievement given their lifestyles.
There are no words to describe how extraordinarily good this version is. Only a couple of people in the world could get in there with Mitch Mitchell and Billy Cox and play Jimi's lead like that.

Just sensational. What a loss that Gary went so early. He had such attitude, showmanship and incredible technique on the guitar. I always thought that he was the greatest Hendrix interpreter. I never heard anyone else play Red House as well as he did. To those neigh-sayers, I don't give a fuck what you think, because Gary was the real deal.
Gary was a first class guitarist - sadly died far too young aged just 58 died in his sleep of a massive heart attack in 2011..... rip Gary your music lives on.

Garry Moore is absolutely incredible. This is unbelievable. His playing is unreal.. Never have heard a single guitarist who could emulate Jimmy Hendrix with such accuracy. He's playing every single Jimmy's solo with the exact same kinda feel, emotion or mood but extended versions and with more notes. He mastered all of Jimmy's techniques 🙏
I believe that as a kid of around 11or12,he listened to Jimi records and basically taught himself how he played.much the same story with Bonamassa and SRV.Quality breeds quality.

Before the passing of EVH, we had lost an army of warriors and icons. Gary, for me, is the one i miss the most of all. Among all his magnificent solos and styles, there is a very special set i watch over and over. Its much different to the fiery and emotive solos we all love and remember him by. Its Gary blazing through powerchords that roar out from the white Explorer in his hands this time. His vocals really are commanding and its a true master slaying it, breathtaking with his brilliant set at Monsters Of Rock Fest, R.I.P. Gary Moore.

This is fresh air for an absolute CLASSIC song and who better to take our hands than the most humble Mr Gary Moore from Belfast, departed, but while I live, not forgotten.
Gary was amazing, I saw him in 1987 on the Wild Frontiers tour, at an small club in Anaheim (Jezzabells) could hold maybe 200 people, stood 10 feet from Gary and was a witness to guitargoddom....RIP Gary

Wasn’t a heart attack. His blood alcohol level was over 5 times the legal driving limit. Died of alcohol poisoning in hotel in Spain

Cannot believe what an incredible talent this man , ( and Hendrix ) had .
The memory of them , and the gift of their incredible talent ,
can go on forever as long as people still listen to their music .
gary is a shredder with feel..this is awesome.
I needed this in my life right now. Thank you and thank God for these geniuses.

The 286 thumbs down would be mostly ''1 eyed'' SRV supporters, they really know how good GM is, and Moore comes across as a threat to some of them, their beloved SRV. Where as i love both and many more great guitarists.!!
Why SRV supporter would dislike such greatness? I like SRV but I also like GM
