Steve Vai killing it on the vocals never heard him sing before
at least not like that!!
G3???
....In brief, he is a guitar player not a singer !
Me either! 🤷🏼♂️ Yes, mighty soulful👍
He sings lead on Lovers are crazy from the flexable album ua-cam.com/video/Hmx661gfQoY/v-deo.html
Uli's solo was a masterpiece
listen to Johnny Hallyday +Lou Gramm : the best singers for this song and with a great guitar solo with Mick Jones at Taratata
that little dive bomb move was epic
He is not from this world.
One thing is true the worl never came the samme afther thath in 1966
Uli's tone is like a breeze from the heavens
After all he plays the mighty Sky Guitar.......
Uli is just a champion guitar player. A real Master. I am glad he left the Scorpions. They are great and so is he but his style was not the pop they wanted. Uli is far to intelligent to play pop.

Eric Sardinas' tone is like sardinas
@@immortalx50 :))))))))
Uli is one of the greats and totally underrated
Not underrated. Anyone who knows him admires his playing. He is under appreciated and sort of too unknown to the average people. His name is not as big as Steve Vais for example. That's a bummer but I don't think that matters to him. I've met him a few times in person. A friend of mine builds his sky guitars. He is on another level of life and his mind is like in another dimension. That's why he seems a little like Hendrix to me. He is just spiritually so deep connected to the guitar. It's amazing
Definitely not underrated!
Probably the best vocal performance I've heard from Vai. Including studio tracks.
Nope…known him since he was still in scorpions
great
listen to Johnny Hallyday +Lou Gramm : the best singers for this song and with a great guitar solo with Mick Jones at Taratata
The tone in Uli Jon Roth's solo is probably the greatest I've ever heard
Uli Roth's playing in Scorpions, especially on the Virgin killer album, is outstanding.
Yellow Raven🎸
I'd say it's still outstanding
@@randalclarke5487 For sure it is. After he leave the band I lost interest for them. As with Deep Purple when Blackmore left.
The song ”Top of the bill”….the guitar there is perfectly MONSTROUS…
@@princeworld4769 that one is heavy af
I gotta hand it to Morse...! This guy is so consistent, yet so down to earth (no fuss, no show offs), that Deep Purple are so lucky to have him. Monster guitar player! Of course Uli and Vai are both legends!
I’m pretty sure Uli Roth is using some sort of magic to get THAT tone! Sounds otherworldly and so damn good! 😎
Lots of Reverb and Delay, not that much gain but relatively loud master vol plus a bit of fuzz and voila.
Compressor, overdrive, distortion and palm harmonics
Uli Jon Roth the truly father of neoclassical guitar since the 70's with the Scorpions and that's a fact...
Amen.
Just saw him in Milwaukee...never miss him
ua-cam.com/video/-igfngqwq8I/v-deo.html
Uli Jon Roth and Richie blackmore
Richie then uli...
Blackmore and him essentially.
Bow down to the mighty Uli Jon Roth.
Best solo, best feeling!
Four talented legends all on stage playing Jimi together. Best 8 ½ minutes I've spent on UA-cam in 2022 so far. 😎👍🏻
Yeeeh 👌👍👍👍🍀 7:17
Uli's tone is out of this world. Made the hair stand up on my arms...
Uli has mastered the fret board to such a level there is no longer a visual connection, its all in the feel of the notes he is playing to get that next melody out......true master
…the signature sound of Uli…..wow….its really a WOW!!!
Uli just looks like he's having a strum on the beach... no effort!! Amazing player and a truly nice and modest bloke. Pure rock royalty.
I could listen to Uli Jon all day. One of the all time Greats. Love You Uli since 1975.
When Morse started playing the Hush melody from deep purple. perfect!
Hahaha, that's true !
As a guitar player I love to insert riffs from other tunes.
Sorry, it's the " A Day in the Life " melody
@@squidface4381 Agreed I immediately thought of "A Day in the Life "
Time stamp
Uli is just so smooth ..
Uli's tone is always so sweet, wtf! Vai bringin it on those vocals!
First time I ever heard Vai sing....not too shabby! lol!
He sings lead on this song from his flexable album ua-cam.com/video/Hmx661gfQoY/v-deo.html
Vai and Morse, greatest guitar players in the world, Uli is a extraterrestrial guitar!
Yes! Vocals are superb Steve Vai!
Uli`s tone is amazing. The sun goes up!
Holy cats, they sound phenomenal together. I had no idea Steve Vai could belt it out like that! Jimi would have loved this.
This speaks to what a GREAT guy Steve Morse is. Instead of getting up there and doing the ole "look what I can do" thing, he just does a nice sounding harmony part along with Vai and it sounds great. What a guy...
Adam Lewis I agree! It sounded a bit like a combination of Hey Joe and Hush from Deep Purple.Nice one!
Adam Lewis He really is the man!
RPG 808 The tape is so the high and low E strings don't find their way under the sides and get stuck!
Adam Lewis He is a great guy, but it looks like he injured his right wrist, and possibly slowed down for therapeutic reasons.
Entirely possible...
Uli Jon Roth is Legendary amongst these Legends, his TONE is ETHEREAL!!! Steve Vai knocks some enamel off his teeth and then Steve Morse, a soulster monster!!! Awesome video, Jimi smiles at this triple attack!!!
TheShredfester
Synchronicity on the hysteresis curve, fairly rare.
TheShredfester
Through a Blackstar amp as well
I smile at the phrase triple attack
No doubt about that!!
Beautiful tribute to Jimi by 3 great guitarists! So much fun to watch!
Uli's vibrato is unparalleled
That was awesome! Everyone was tearing it up. Made Jimmy proud.
Every time I listen to UJR I can't help admiring his playing!
3 godly tones in 1 concert is insane!!!
holy shit Uli jon roth has a tone unlike any other. that is insane man. so smooth yet powerful.
Three great masters having fun this is what music's about, nice to hear Steve sing!
Uli plays it like he was there the first time around... because he was! #Awesome
These great guitarists are just getting together and enjoying playing the music they love. And not over analyzing and judging each other's performance. So why should we. It's jamming. It's just another musical conversation. Love everyone of these amazing artists.
This observation is so fundamentally true. These artists are each paying a tribute to the great Jimi Hendrix who has had a deep influence in each of their musical journeys. And they are not over thinking what they are playing. They are each relishing this moment in their music path. I too love all these great musicians, especially Jimi.
Fred and Patty Chandler
I couldn't have said it better my self.
You guys are right on the money. They’re having fun in the spirit of everything Jimi stood for and paying homage to the man and his music without overthinking things.
You nailed it. This is not a competition, rather a celebration and remembrance of the genius of Jimi Hendrix.
You are Absolutely right Mate , it's just a Spontaneous Casual and Musical Expressions from whatever Cells , Veins and Etc parts, Organs of their Bodies and Souls . If One knows how to Play Guitar and have had participated at a Random stage unprepared and has to String the Straps of the Guitar Wrung out at the Shoulders till the Waist and the Rest must be History,
That Uli John's tone!
So fucking good!!
Beautiful Version! Long Live to Ulrich - Uli Jon Roth!
Bravo
Rock music masters play Rock song masterpiece
A Tribute to Jimi Hendrix..
The fantastic Jam Session...
(Like G3 )
Rock music never ends
Everlasting
Rocking all over
Rocking all the time
I am 71 now
Still listening to Super rock music
Best Regards
From Indonesia❤
Uli always gives me goosebumps 😍
Great rendition of a classic! Steve could sing this song really well, and all guitars were on point. Wish I could have heard a little more of Eric Sardinas. He was a little bit in the background.
He didn’t even play 🤣
How in all that's holy did they make this sound so perfect with so many leads intertwined. Just amazing.
It's pouring down rock'n'roll. A storm.
Plus, I LOVE the way the respect Hendrix: none of them is "overdoing" it, shredding like a 19 years old kid. They all stay on the blues-rock side of the guitar.
Uli and Steve Morse nailed it. Cool vocals by Steve Vai.
Uli's guitar, man sounds from heaven
Uli have an amazingly singing legato.
Uli the king of vibrato
If there was ever a song written to showcase a guitar player this is it. Thank you Jimi.
Fantastic !! Uli is about 3 cuts above everyone else for my money!! But it's a great performance. Vai has an excellent voice.
Steve sang this song pretty good. Lots of talent on that stage.
Uli Jon Roth the Best! Forever!
Love it. Great combination. Beautiful solo harmonies.
What a great play of 'Hey Joe' - the WHOLE band is so good supporting Vai, Roth and Morse.
Wow, there's a quartet of awesome guitar players. A couple hundred years of experience between them all. Amazing.
I've heard multi guitarist 'jams' before, and usually around Jimi's stuff, but this is the best I have heard. On other jams, there was no separation, or definition between the players, each trying to 'out play' each other. This was well mixed, and for a jam, well executed. A great homage to a great man, innovator and genius.
That these fine musicians and many others are still playing Jimi's music on stage and that about 50 years after he died
means that he really was the master of them all.
I love steves voice, what a surprise
Wow! Steve has a cool voice.
Uli = legend
I just keep coming back for another watch!
Great rendition of Hey Joe with 3 of the best guitarist in the world.
Uli and Steve Morse, two of the best guitar players that seem to fly under the main stream. They are both incredible and are equally as good as any of the big guitar names out there. Need to see more of them
para mi en particular hey joe es mi canción favorita de jimi hendrix. y en esta ocasión es magistralmente ejecutada. un like si les gusta jimi hendrix.
BRAVO!!! Three Great Guitar Players. Each one of them have his style. Amazing performance. Ave Hendrix!!!
One word. WOW! The talent on one stage. Just incredible.
Steve Vai and Uli Jon Roth in one video? Heaven
É muito talento, técnica, feeling pra três guitarristas... GOOO ULI JON ROTH!!
Ah! Uli goes way, way, way back in the 70's with the Scorpions.. Superb and excellent.
fricken right!!!!!!!!! vai, Roth, Morse killing it!!! love it
Uli Jon Rorh the best!! the legend!!!!!!
Renan Menezes best
I have heard a lot of different versions of this great classic song. To me this song will always belong to the great one, Jimi Hendrix, even though he didn't write it he made it his own. But I have to admit this version really blew me away, actually gave me chills. Fantastic!
Saw Uli again on Friday night in Blackpool of all places. A true legend.
corvin bahn (keys) used to be one of my students a looong time ago ....great career with the right guys - well earned! My alltime favourite steve morse - still own all dixie dregs records on vinyl.
Uli Roth steals the show!
tone, absoltely unique
Uli is on another level.
Que solo esse do Uli, maravilhoso
Uli Roth is from another galaxy. And so his guitars.
I agree that Vai can sing!! And he is good at it!..what a talented man…
Uli is amazing...
Uli Jon Roth just amazing and complicated (y)
Great song by great guitar gods. That's rock and roll baby.
Some very nice Bass work.
Look at Uli being one with the guitar
Love Uli
Uli is still the king of the smoothest, grooviest guitar
Merci, merci ...
Steve Morse's VIBRATO!!! WOOOOW!
The Gods of Guitar approve, Jimi said it is so🙏🏻🎸👍🏻
Uli John Roth and Steve Via on the same stage, WOW and playing Jimi and Eric of courese
Quelle voix j'adore...... Superbe version
great cover and great voice
Uli Roth Guitar God
Cool singing by Steve
Morse looks just like a relaxed uncle ted at the end. Priceless.
People, enjoy the modern times! Great guitar players from different band play together! As i was young, i wished Blackmore, Zappa, Gallagher and May played together! It was only a dream!
Happy Birthday, Jimmi! 75
First time I see Steve sing. He’s not too bad. Good combination of styles with these 3 guys. They can jam.
Love that Steve brought in the Hush melody, Blackmore got some love.
Anyone remember Uli Roth when he was with the Scorpions?
+The Woodsman A better question: "Does anyone remember Uli Roth from when he wasn't in Scorpions?"
+Khalid Stetkevych
LOL, no doubt... Good memories.
I wouldn't call 4 albums "barely". Just look at Metallica; Cliff was only on 3.
Those first four Scorpions albums are amazing.
yes.l do
Uli ! The best Vibrato in the BiZ
What can I say. Outstanding
the drums are very hard for this song - and it is so refreshing to see and hear the love and respect for ULI - I have to say that his work with scorps puts him at the very top of all guitarists - even when Michael came in he could not size up - and that's saying a ton for someone I love - but I think msg was just the whole sound - and even though that Wass true Wirth scorps, Ali brought out in them so much - not until humanity had I heard anything close
