I just watched this for the first time at 62 years old, the first minute and I got chills from head to toe and actually had to go sit down, two minutes in I was bawling my eyes out, I couldn’t believe what I was seeing and hearing, without a doubt, one of the greatest performances of all time, absolutely unbelievable!

@PeteR-hk3ze In my opinion blues is the music most pleasing to God and those who love blues are dearest to God and have taken a step forward towards eternal life. I like to think that's why Our Lord wanted Gary to play his guitar in Heaven
No such thing as the greatest guitarist. It's all just opinion and taste but Gary was among the greats and was technically mind blowing when he wanted to be.
Gary Moore heart and soul a blues guitarist. This performance of Parisienne Walkway is one of the best - a defining statement of the passion of this man. He opened his heart to his audience in a way I have never heard before. Tears flow freely.
I got to see that man playing that very guitar with Thin Lizzy in 1978. One of those cherished, once in a lifetime, rock and roll moments that stays with you forever. Long live the blues and long live rock&roll. Rest peacefully Mr. Moore. R.i.p. Peter Green, and may Greeny keep rocking the masses in the capable hands of Mr. Hammett, until which time it gets passed down to yet another deserving player who will perpetuate the legacy.
Not sure about the "capable hands of Mr Hammett", although given his CV they certainly should be, but given his performance at the Jeff Beck tribute poor Greeny is definitely in the wrong hands. I mean playing in the wrong key is a bit of a basic error.
Через шесть месяцев после этого выступления, - Гари Мура не стало. Волшебник ушел от нас! Но он о нас позаботился - оставил нам свою музыку, свои шедевры😳🤫
@@TxGnomeAF Moore had a very bad start to 2000s. Cancelled shows that got him into debt. He had to sell the real deal Greeny to pay off his debt. But in early 2000s, Gibson did made a signature Gary Moore model, which was basically based of Greeny. Moore started to use those signature models, so Greeny could have a well earned rest. Then in 2010 Gibson made another guitar based of Greeny, Collectors Choice #1 which I suspect is the guitar in this video
@@noisewithguitars I agree. Unless someone can prove otherwise, it's far more likely to be a reissue, than the guy who owned the original agreeing to lend it back to Gary Moore.
As others already said, this isn't the real Greeny. You can tell just by looking at it. The fretboard is too clean, the guitar body is too "nice", the wear mark under the bridge pickup is nowhere near as deep or as worn as the original, and the knobs are way too new looking. Oh, and look how good the chrome is on the pickups. To be honest, that's a pretty bad looking replica.
He knew many directions in music, and also masterfully performed jazz, jazz rock, jazz blues ,hard rock, rhythm and blues, and other directions.Gary Moore was a great virtuoso and one of the best guitarists in the world, but he made a special contribution to the rock blues direction. We must also not forget about the reality of the spiritual otherworldly world, because death does not exist, and the soul is eternal, therefore Gary Moore’s soul is really more alive than all of us physical ones, and continues to exist in the subtle spiritual world.Life after life does not end and the personality after this life is not destroyed.Only the exhausted body rests, the soul is always active.
Many people say that it is not that difficult to play like Gary if you can play the guitar well, but he was also a composer. He created everything from scratch.
I have heard people replicate Gary Moore and they all suck. They just play the notes unable to capture the essence of Gary Moore because they have not lived Gary Moore.
