I didn't discover Gary Moore or realize his genius until later in life. i wish I would have appreciated him earlier in life and when he was alive. He is truly one of the greats and all you have to do is here one note and you know it is Gary Moore.
I guess its maybe better than growing old and fading away. He's kind of immortalised and won't be remembered as some grey or white haired fragile old man. He certainly left his mark on the world

Certainly one of the VERY best players in the world. This must be the very best version I have ever heard of Gary playing this amazing piece. Fabulous sounds he produced and thank you Gary for the sounds you have left us when you left the stage mate! RIP Gary.
Gary Moore heart and soul a blues guitarist. This performance of Parisienne Walkway is one of the best - a defining statement of the passion of this man. He opened his heart to his audience in a way I have never heard before. Tears flow freely.

This man will never be forgotten, he played for us the soundtrack of our lives, he was the killer player himself........a genius.....words can not tell ......my all time hero.....a guitarmonster of ireland.....unbelievalable artist
He knew many directions in music, and also masterfully performed jazz, jazz rock, jazz blues ,hard rock, rhythm and blues, and other directions.Gary Moore was a great virtuoso and one of the best guitarists in the world, but he made a special contribution to the rock blues direction. We must also not forget about the reality of the spiritual otherworldly world, because death does not exist, and the soul is eternal, therefore Gary Moore’s soul is really more alive than all of us physical ones, and continues to exist in the subtle spiritual world.Life after life does not end and the personality after this life is not destroyed.Only the exhausted body rests, the soul is always active.
he wasn't the greatest guitarplayer of all times, he wasn't the most technical guitarplayer.... He was just Gary Moore -- the man, who played every note right, the man who made blues popular again in grunge era...
@PeteR-hk3ze In my opinion blues is the music most pleasing to God and those who love blues are dearest to God and have taken a step forward towards eternal life. I like to think that's why Our Lord wanted Gary to play his guitar in Heaven
No such thing as the greatest guitarist. It's all just opinion and taste but Gary was among the greats and was technically mind blowing when he wanted to be.
Underrated? What are you talking about? He is one of the best, if not the best. Moore was often described as a virtuoso and has been cited as an influence by many other guitar players. He was voted as one of the greatest guitarists of all time on respective lists by Total Guitar and Louder.

Ich habe bisher keine Berührung mit Blues gehabt, aber ich bin sehr begeistert und beeindruckt mit weicher hervorragenden Virtuosität Garry Moore spielt.
@@TxGnomeAF Moore had a very bad start to 2000s. Cancelled shows that got him into debt. He had to sell the real deal Greeny to pay off his debt. But in early 2000s, Gibson did made a signature Gary Moore model, which was basically based of Greeny. Moore started to use those signature models, so Greeny could have a well earned rest. Then in 2010 Gibson made another guitar based of Greeny, Collectors Choice #1 which I suspect is the guitar in this video
@@noisewithguitars I agree. Unless someone can prove otherwise, it's far more likely to be a reissue, than the guy who owned the original agreeing to lend it back to Gary Moore.
I got to see that man playing that very guitar with Thin Lizzy in 1978. One of those cherished, once in a lifetime, rock and roll moments that stays with you forever. Long live the blues and long live rock&roll. Rest peacefully Mr. Moore. R.i.p. Peter Green, and may Greeny keep rocking the masses in the capable hands of Mr. Hammett, until which time it gets passed down to yet another deserving player who will perpetuate the legacy.
Not sure about the "capable hands of Mr Hammett", although given his CV they certainly should be, but given his performance at the Jeff Beck tribute poor Greeny is definitely in the wrong hands. I mean playing in the wrong key is a bit of a basic error.
Через шесть месяцев после этого выступления, - Гари Мура не стало. Волшебник ушел от нас! Но он о нас позаботился - оставил нам свою музыку, свои шедевры😳🤫
Gary Moore's "Out In The Fields" was the first record I ever bought. It was rough and ready, like the man himself, but it was played with real ❤️, and I cherish it for the truth it held within every chord. Much missed, never forgotten. Rest in Power Gary.
I’m 33, I dabble in guitar. I just listened to empty rooms before this and balled my eyes out. The intro first few riffs of this song is what I first ever learnt. Now I’m crying again
After watching so much bootleg gary moore performances I watch this and you could almost tell he was going, like he was saying goodbye with his guitar...
Just watched him play the entire song and I’m wiping my eyes…..nobody plays with more soul than Gary Moore.

The audience is in a trance as Gary pours out his soul through his guitar.
Absolutely incredible player!!!
Nobody comes close to Gary he played with his heart and soul every time! RIP LEGEND!!!!!!
I hear a lot of Roy Buchanan in Gary's playing especially on this song. You tell he loved Roy's playing :-)
To think we would lose this legend only about 6 months or so after this performance is heartbreaking.
