I didn't discover Gary Moore or realize his genius until later in life. i wish I would have appreciated him earlier in life and when he was alive. He is truly one of the greats and all you have to do is here one note and you know it is Gary Moore.
👍 I’m 70ish now and discovered Gary when I heard his ‘Still Got the Blues’ less than a year ago. I immediately started looking for more of his music ever since. IMO this is beautiful 💕 in every way - his voice + guitar 🎸playing, as well as the song itself! 👏
I guess its maybe better than growing old and fading away. He's kind of immortalised and won't be remembered as some grey or white haired fragile old man. He certainly left his mark on the world

I just watched this for the first time at 62 years old, the first minute and I got chills from head to toe and actually had to go sit down, two minutes in I was bawling my eyes out, I couldn’t believe what I was seeing and hearing, without a doubt, one of the greatest performances of all time, absolutely unbelievable!

Gary Moore heart and soul a blues guitarist. This performance of Parisienne Walkway is one of the best - a defining statement of the passion of this man. He opened his heart to his audience in a way I have never heard before. Tears flow freely.
@@TxGnomeAF Moore had a very bad start to 2000s. Cancelled shows that got him into debt. He had to sell the real deal Greeny to pay off his debt. But in early 2000s, Gibson did made a signature Gary Moore model, which was basically based of Greeny. Moore started to use those signature models, so Greeny could have a well earned rest. Then in 2010 Gibson made another guitar based of Greeny, Collectors Choice #1 which I suspect is the guitar in this video

As others already said, this isn't the real Greeny. You can tell just by looking at it. The fretboard is too clean, the guitar body is too "nice", the wear mark under the bridge pickup is nowhere near as deep or as worn as the original, and the knobs are way too new looking. Oh, and look how good the chrome is on the pickups. To be honest, that's a pretty bad looking replica.

Not sure about the "capable hands of Mr Hammett", although given his CV they certainly should be, but given his performance at the Jeff Beck tribute poor Greeny is definitely in the wrong hands. I mean playing in the wrong key is a bit of a basic error.

I am blessed that I got to see this man in Detroit at Harpos I think 1984 my graduation year. I've seen most of the great ones and nobody touched my soul more than Gary Moore. Shapes of things tour. The absolute best guitar performance live I ever witnessed. He played a red strat and absolutely made it sing. Amazing guitarist. You can find it on youtube with no video only audio.
