I have to agree with what has already been said: also check out the music video for this song because it's just amazing and a sarcastic poke at the Japanese idol music industry, too! As for live videos, there is an amazing one of Shout Down and Karakuri Town.
Must cosign on two points made: 1) TMC MV was my intro to D$B and it was indeed a well-played tongue-in-cheek satire of idol groups and 2) "Karakuri Town" is mandatory listening... melodic chaos at it's finest. I predict a really fun GM Reacts vid to that one. Please do it soon!
So happy you came back to check out some more from them! You really can't go wrong with any of their stuff, either live or MV's. I'd strongly recommend checking out the MV for Take My Chance as well to compare with their amazing performance here and also see how funny some of their MV's are. I'll also once again shill for watching the 3 song clip of them performing Shout Down, Karakuri Town and Sekai wa Kitto Ai wo Shitterunda! Just type in "doll$boxx karakuri live" and you'll find it. I also agree with the suggestions to check out Gacharic Spin, the band Hana (drums) Koga (bass) Oreo (keys) and Tomo-zo (guitar) play in besides Doll$Boxx, especially their live stuff. They're less metal focused (although do veer into that territory from time to time), but they're just pure fun crystalised into musical form IMO. There's this clip taken from one of their lockdown livestreams from last year of them performing their song Lock On: ua-cam.com/video/Jq0OcRZdcpw/v-deo.html Hana is out front on vocals here whilst drum duties are filled by Yuri who joined the band in 2019 so Hana could step into more of a front-woman role, although she still takes the opportunity to jump behind the drums from time to time!
Thanks, GazMASH! I was one of those people ask you for this song! :-) Yes, many of Japanese bands are very good (or even better then in MV) "in live"! They are talented and professional musicians, and you can see that they love that performances! I love Fuki and "Unlucky Morpheus" much, so it was inevitable to listen this Fuki's side project, but musicians from "Gacharic Spin" are wonderful ones, and "Doll$Boxx" become one of my top 10 bands very fast!
Doll$boxx is one of those bands that you should watch the music videos rather than the live performances. Not because they aren't as good live, because obviously they are just as good live, (great live performances are almost a prerequisite for Japanese bands anyways), but rather the videos are so well done & are entertaining, plus they have music videos for pretty much each & every one of their songs.
Having seen gacharic spin live they're absolutely better live. But they don't clean up the audio on videos the way other bands do. They're incredible live though But i agree they put a lot of effort into making good music videos that are a lot of fun
Don't forget to check out Gacharic Spin (Doll$boxx without Fuki and Hana on Lead vocals): ua-cam.com/video/yVTp3SESzpY/v-deo.html And here's a later line up, where Hana switched to guitar: ua-cam.com/video/AkBYXDZFIFs/v-deo.html Or how about twin drums? ua-cam.com/video/Jt7-GGRa3nc/v-deo.html These girls just overflow with talent and energy. Every. Single. One. Of. Them.
I love the MV for this. You first see them come out and it looks like it's going to be some kind of cutie bubble gum super kawaii j-pop and then that first scream happens and you are blown away♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️
every projekt FUKI is part of is worth listening ...she has that kind of taste in music i share somehow but Band Maid and Unlucky Morpheus are still my favs
It's too bad this is a "side project", because they are one of the best bands in the world. We can only hope they find time in their schedules to do more stuff together.
I love Hana’s scream of this song.
DOLL$BOXX with Fuki singing is one of the best bands I've ever heard. And I've heard thousands.

Fuki is mysterious, beautiful, and amazing.

The only Doll$Boxx song I recommend watching the live version over the MV is Dragonet. Mainly because Hana has a drum solo at the end 🤘😁🤘
Especially since they're one of the few bands that put a lot of effort into crafting good music videos still
