This is a band that came together as a side project between Gacharic Spin and Fuki. GS is an established band who are fantastic musicians and Fuki is the lead singer of Unlucky Morpheus another band of superb musicians. There is a long story to the creation of Doll$boxx and others will expand this.. Superb musicians and Hama the drummer plays guitar, keys, drums and bass.

The project started after their singer Armmy(?) left the band, in the middle of the tour because of health problems.
..and as you probably have guessed: and Fuki stepped in to finnish the tour.
A good friendship was established, and they wanted to do more, and DB was formed.
What is sad in the middle of it, is that Armmy died in late 2015.
Gacharic Spin? I really love "I wish I" which was released last year.
Here Hana has left the drums and picked up the guitar.
They have brought in a drummer and Angelina1/3 on vocals.
Musically? Check out the official video and find out!

DOLL$BOXX / Gacharic Spin are incredible. Really serious musical talent but also with amazing song-writing and a real sense of fun and joy in their music.
DOLL$BOXX is basically the band Gacharic Spin collaborating with singer Fuki. They're also heavily linked with a lot of other bands. Fuki who is the lead singer of DOLL$BOXX is also the lead singer for Unlucky Morpheus (and her own solo work, she also used to sing for Light Bringer until they went on permanent hiatus). Gacharic Spin have an occasional collaboration with lead singer of SHOW-YA Keiko Terada called Teradaric Spin. They also have an occasional collaboration with Takenori Shinoyama (lead singer for Saber Tiger) where they play classic 70's and 80's metal covers (Metallica, Ozzy, Rainbow, Scorpions, Dio, etc) in a band called Metallic Spin. Drummer + backing vocals in DOLL$BOXX Hana Sano used to play bass and sing backing vocals in a band with Hideki from Babymetal's Kami Band back in the early 2000's and the Gacharic Spin and the Kami Band play a gig together every year for Takayoshi Ohmura (one of the guitarists for Kami Band) yearly birthday gig. Gacharic Spin are also close friends with Nemophila and did a number of livestreamed shows with them over lockdown (Nemophila drummer Murata Tamu drummed for them for one leg of their 2018 tour way before Nemophila formed when Gacharic Spin guitarist Tomo-zo was hospitalised so Hana switched to guitar + vocals for that part of the tour whilst Murata Tamu stepped in on drums, she also drummed for them at 2021 Naon no Yaon concert in the absense of Gacharic Spin's current drummer Yuri who was off for maternity leave).
That's a huge brick of info, you probably can't take it all in now, but maybe it'll at least give you an idea of how sprawling the Gacharic Spin / DOLL$BOXX web is once you start to pull on those threads!
I hope you'll check out a lot more from these amazing musicians, either as DOLL$BOXX or Gacharic Spin, you really can't go wrong with them!

As someone already said, Doll$boxx are a collaboration between Gacharic Spin and Fuki from Unlucky Morpheus. Both parts of the band are worth checking out. First Gacharic Spin, here's a live song in their current line up, where Hana already switched from drums to guitar: ua-cam.com/video/_-bMQ1fcqBQ/v-deo.html - But I'd also highly recommend checking out some older stuff with Hana on drums and lead vocals: ua-cam.com/video/yVTp3SESzpY/v-deo.html
You already did Unlucky Morpheus, but since there's never enough Ankimo (that's how the Japanese shorten their name), here's their latest live video, taken from their current Blu-Ray: ua-cam.com/video/YujGZll4Pu4/v-deo.html

DOLL$BOXX (as has been said) consists (or rather consisted) of Gacharic Spin and Fuyuki Tenge on vocals. GS didn't have a lead singer for quite a while and they got Fuki on board somehow. DOLL$BOXX songs are usually a bit heavier than what GS does most of the time, but whether with or without Fuki Gacharic Spin is quite the troupe. They don't really fit into any given genre exept pure energy :)
They're all amazing musicians but Hana (drummer in this video) stands out to most as she plays not only drums, but also guitar, sings and screams. All the band members can sing really well, which makes for some nice back-and-forth and they harmonize quite well.
Fuki is well known and her main project for a while now has been Unlucky Morpheus, but she's been in Dragon Guardian, Light Bringer (which was awesome...) she did her own project (Fuki Commune) and there's a lot of collaborations and side projects, she's rather prolific.
The Music Video, from what I understand, is about japanese Idol culture, where the people in the club really don't expect anything from the music but are there to ogle idol girls who do a little dance and do a little show, then DOLL$BOXX come on stage and rock their socks off, which is why the crowd is so apathetic at the start.

@@GlassMoonGaming It is worth noting that there's an 'alternative idol' movement in Japan that is attempting to undermine the perfect image of idols while exploring more extreme forms of music, such as metal, punk, techno and '70s-inspired prog. Not everything idol needs be mocked. Not all of these idol groups can afford to tour with a full live band, but they are certainly keeping a significant number of good musicians in employment writing, composing and performing their music. It is also proving to be a good way to bring raw talent into the music industry.
It's great to see people exploring Japanese music - it has a lot to offer, including some good pop music.

These ladies just want to rock and have no kawaii element in their presentation, etc. it was just for this MV. I would even say the song is the exception and I think its their most popular.
In Japan their are many really small indoor stages where you can see bands play or where their are a lot of 'underground idols' the last ones would be J-Pop/kawaii.
The most famous small stage is RockMayKan. The famous Japanese band X-Japan had their first live show there and Babymetal loves to do what their predecessors did so Babymetal had their first show there too. This was a time Babymetal didn't have a live band yet, their were probably more idol-like in nature. During the pandemic Babymetal performed there with no audience and streamed it live to sell tickets and merchandise to make sure RockMayKan had some income.
The MV is a parody of that. The guys you saw in the MV are supposed to represent the typical idol/j-pop fans. If you see glow sticks, usually means: idol/j-pop fans.
They are expecting to see kawaii girls on stage dancing and singing. No live band, just music over the speakers. Which is girly, adorable. Instead they get full blown live band girl/women power. Only some quick adorable at the start and end of the 'show' to mislead them. J-Pop/idols are not really known for having great singing, as I understand it a big part of it is following their growth/development. Like getting in on the ground floor of following a pop-star, but most never reach any kind of fame. And high-energy live performance. And lots of playback, because dancing and singing at the same time is freaking hard. The idol/j-pop in Japan had grown to big in the eyes of Babymetal's producer and others. Crowding out other genres in the charts, etc. And Babymetal tried from inside of the idol-culture to break that mold. Especially the big idol groups were getting insane, with over a 50 members, etc. and dominating the music charts through 'smart marketing', in a way fudging the numbers.
As you saw at the start of the the live video, it's very common for bands to talk between songs (MC). A lot actually, it's very common in Japan. As someone who didn't grow up with that culture I don't care for it, it can kind of annoying and break the flow of a show. Especially if it's in Japanese as I don't speak it. Babymetal doesn't do that, they occasionally have an introduction video or Kami band solos. The most interesting to me is songs like this song from Doll$Boxx which incorporates different genres and styles in a single coherent package. It seems especially Japan is good at that, they don't care as much about genre boundaries. It's like Japan has lots of flavors of Kit Kat. From strawberry- to wasabi Kit Kat.

One thing you will notice as you watch more of these girls. They can all sing and often trade lead roles. Sometimes in the middle of the same sentence. Except for poor Koga (Bassist), she couldn't carry a tune in a bucket. (Her admission.) Hana (drums) is a multi instumentalist. She pretty much can play anything she gets her hands on. (Even toy drums). Tons of fun ahead. Wait till you get to some of the older live GS shows...Talk about crazy energy!
