"Doll's Box" 10. "Nudierhythm ($ Version)" Nudierhythm is a Gacharic Spin song They did an EP as well in 2007. I hope we get more some day...
This is one of my favorites. It features two bonnets at once! While there's never enough bonnet to make me happy, it's a great start! Thanks for making a great reaction to it.
Once you have gotten around to Doll$Boxx, your well into the Japenes female Rock band rabbit hole, welcome. I truly love you'r reactions. From the Texas panhandle, good luck, and Keep on Keeping on.
Very glad you checked this band out, you're already somewhat aquainted with the guitarist, drummer, bass player and keyboard player here as they're all in Gacharic Spin as well whom you reacted to a few weeks ago. In the Gacharic Spin video you reacted to however Hana was on guitar and vocals whereas in this video she's on drums and vocals. This Doll$Boxx video is from 2012 however and the Gacharic Spin one you checked out is from just a few months ago. This was the first Doll$Boxx song I heard and it absolutely blew me away, an incredible main melody, that insanely groovy bass work, the screams, that beautiful use of modal interchange between phyrgian dominant for the main riff and verses and aeolian for the pre-chorus/chorus. But the thing that impressed me most was their perfect develoment of counterpoint in the backing vocals against the main chorus melody, if you listen again check out for how Hana/Oreo are singing a separate (and very catchy) countermelody against the main one in the chorus, as compared to the parallel harmony they use for the intro statement of the melody. Absolutely ingenious and incredibly effective and well put together, but excellent vocal arrangements and ideas are par for the course with Gacharic Spin and Doll$Boxx! For checking out more Doll$Boxx you're quite spoilt for choice as all of their original tracks have MV's and there's also live footage of them playing all their songs live from a show they filmed a few years ago, and you really can't go wrong with any of it. If you don't mind checking out a more chilled out ballad-esque song that will probably get less requests than some others, I'll suggest their track Fragrance: ua-cam.com/video/Vn1PJY8DLZo/v-deo.html This contains another example of their ingenious vocal ideas - check out Hana's raps on the pre-chorus and how she emulates a CD skipping and stuttering over that groovy riff, I sometimes can't help just listening to that section over and over again. Another probably less requested one that I consider to be criminally overlooked is this live clip of them performing 3 tracks: ua-cam.com/video/EOLZ2gLGwL4/v-deo.html All 3 of these are very high tempo and you'll probably be feeling breathless by the end of the clip if you decide to check it out. I was lucky enough to be at that concert when it was filmed and it was truly a special experience, I've been to hundreds of concerts but nothing that's left as big an impact on me as that day, the fact that it was recorded for posterity is amazing. Even crazier is after performing at the level captured in that clip for 2 hours as Doll$Boxx the musicians took an hours break then came back and played a 3 hour concert of equally high calibre as Gacharic Spin, which was also filmed for DVD.
Another Fuki Fest needs to happen so we can get another Doll$Boxx live performance and maybe some new material. Sometimes I forget how awesome Oreo is then her part of a song comes on and I'm reminded again. She does get to do more now since Hana is on rhythm guitar so Oreo has more freedom throughout the song instead of just being able to cut loose during her solo parts.
This is Gacharic Spin + Fuki(Unlucky Morpheus and many, many other things...) on main vox. I recommend you actually start at part1 - Loud Twin Stars. There are videos for every original Doll$boxx track :)
love DOLL$BOXX! their album Dolls Apartment was the first Japanese album I ever bought. Its amazing top to bottom. Also the cool thing is every song has a music video. same for their ep High $pec
Doll$boxx is a side project between Gacharic Spin (funk/rock) and the force of nature, Fuki. They 1st came together some years ago when Gacharic Spin had started a tour, their singer at the time had the habit of not showing up and she did not for the 1st 2-3 shows of the tour. So the band had enough and went to TV and said if anyone knows their songs, contact them and they can join them on stage. Fuki who was a fan of theirs and was a sing in a few other bands, contacted them the next day said she knew all the songs. So Fuki joined them for the majority of the rest of the tour. They had enjoyed playing together so much, and Gacharic Spin wanted to do something a bit heavier than what they normally do, so they started Doll$boxx. Fuki is normally a metal singer, and her main band now are a metal band called Unlucky Morpheus, a band with so much talent it should be illegal. try Unlucky Morpheus - Angreifer Another all female band for you to try Aldious, this video has a temporary singer as they are looking for a new one after the last left with health issues. Aldious with Maki Oyama / We Are ua-cam.com/video/IRcwS-XvOOk/v-deo.html
I'm glad you liked DOLL$BOXX, one of my favorite japanese bands. I don't know if you noticed but you already seen these musicians (except the lead singer) in a previous video you reacted to. They are all part of the band Gacharic Spin. Now, it's very funny you mentioned Betraying The Martyrs from France and especially Victor because I know him haha. But I prefer Oreo Reona from Gacharic Spin/DOLL$BOXX 😜
Ok, now you have to listen to Fuki's main band, Unlucky Morpheus and their Metal Violinist (you read that right, Metal Violinist) Jill. Check out Tower of Blood (Live) ua-cam.com/video/OVKc7jJ54UI/v-deo.html
Oddly satisfying how well Jill and her violin fit into the arrangements...then again the covers she pulls off in Quadratum (Unlucky Morpheus sans Fuki and one of the guitarist) are incredible.
Merrily High Go Round, Monopoly, and Shout Down are all great other Doll$Boxx songs, but they're all good, and I think they did videos for every single song they released, over two albums. You might like Gacharic Spin too, if you like this. Much more poppy and all over the place, but full of awesome musicianship. New songs by them that are amazing are I Wish I and MindSet
I don't know the entire group, yet, but the Drummer is Hana. And for some reason my old ass, just loves her blue hair. LOL. This may be a throw back to a teen I met in San Francisco in mid1980, at a dance club there. Her hair was yellow gold blond at the part and graduated to an iridescent blue for the last inch (tips). She was underage as indicated by her wristband, but I sent her a non-alcoholic drink and she waved at me in thanks... her hair was all I could think about for days... and obviously still. I was in my very early 20's in those days. And in the Navy, so not a good thing to be arrested over. I have never seen her again, nor did I ever learn her name. (Lost love - missed romance, avoided prison term) Still, Hana is a hell of a drummer, and can sing clean as well as scream/growl. Keep reacting.
Great reaction I love doll$box long time enjoying them their delicious live concert is amazing setsunaku and alive they are up front wit the audience awesome but the being said you have to react to fragrance it is amazing mv ( bring tissues) be well
It really doesn’t matter which one you watch. They were released in an or different from the track list and any video to video plot plot progression is pretty thin, ethereal even. My favorite is monopoly which actually does a lot of links of colors, suits, etc. a possible fight for band domination…
So much for Dolls eh? Gotta love their drummer Hanna, who made sure the whole group would not pass as dolls in any form 😂. Like Band-Maid, there is a distinct gap between their image and their songs. Gotta love 'em 😁
Great reaction and you're going to love this band and singer. All girl band - DOLL$BOXX - a side project of Gacharic Spin (four musicians) with singer Fuki (the blond). They released an album called DOLLS APARTMENT which is a loose concept album about starting a band and trying to get successful. Monopoly (4th song) is sort of about the singer (Fuki) getting famous and getting a big ego and leaving the others behind. The third song is called "Take my chance" - this is a put-on of what it takes for a new group to make it, playing at small clubs, hoping to attraction attention. It's kind of difficult to put this band into a single category as they play all types of rock. The singer in this project, Fuki, is considered one of the best female rock/metal vocalist around and has worked/working in a lot of different projects. Her longest band is called Unlucky Morpheus and is more metal. To listen to them try this - CADAVER REVADAC - ua-cam.com/video/gxN3L2jrrEI/v-deo.html - be sure to watch the whole 9 minutes - the first part is the main song, the second part is the first part played in reverse (scored note for note backwards).
I'd recommend starting with "Loud Twin Stars" as it's the first song on their first album and they made music videos for each song, so you can work your way up from there. They honestly don't have any bad songs, so well worth your time to work your way through their short discography.
Doll$Boxx and Gatcharic Spin are essentially the same bands, all the same members. In this video, the frontwoman is Fuki and actually was a guest because their regular frontwoman (Arrmy (Ahmy)) was sick. Unfortunately, she later passed away, but no idea if it was the same illness. If you watch some Gatcharic Spin videos she is the front woman with curled blond hair and the tagline "Hello sexy". She, like her ultimate replacement (Angelina (Angie)), was High-energy! And a huge loss both to the band(s) and their fans.
I see your eyes glossy...its feel like...wow its kjnda music i really proud. Yeah. Live version the vocal do more power. Auto subscribe for people have sense on music.

They did an EP as well in 2007. I hope we get more some day...
This cd is amazing love it they don't get enough credit be well
Oh yes! More Doll$Boxx please!
Hero, Shout Down, and Dragonet are a few more bops that I didn't see mentioned yet.
This is one of my favorites. It features two bonnets at once! While there's never enough bonnet to make me happy, it's a great start! Thanks for making a great reaction to it.

Gacharic Spin is one of the greatest from Japan! :)
I swear I would recognize that bass sound and style everywhere. F Chopper Koga...
Doll$boxx just fucking slayed! I wish we could get more of this project. Check out "Shout Down" and also their live videos!
I love seeing the sparks in your eyes when you enjoy a good song! 🤩
This is Gacharic Spin + Fuki(Unlucky Morpheus and many, many other things...) on main vox. I recommend you actually start at part1 - Loud Twin Stars. There are videos for every original Doll$boxx track :)

I get the feeling that we will get to see Unlucky Morpheus reaction soon
@@Ephem13 Oh yeah, her covers of Eddie Van Halen and Yngwie Malmsteen are incredible.

Koga's bass line is truly epic!
Fuki's voice is astounding...a full-blown opera singer. Drummer Hana is also a bad ass lead guitarist in her other band.
I'd recommend starting with "Loud Twin Stars" as it's the first song on their first album and they made music videos for each song, so you can work your way up from there. They honestly don't have any bad songs, so well worth your time to work your way through their short discography.

Have you done Nightwish Ghost live Score ? I know it’s not the Jrock rabbit hole but it’s still a good song.
Fuki + Gacharic Spin = Doll$Boxx.
Your next Fuki song should be Unlucky Morpheus - Unending Sorceress.
Monopoly is next in series
Can you react to this one?:
