A parody about maids? a year and a half before Band-Maid even existed!!! Both bands (Band-Maid and Gacharic Spin) were in the NaonのYaon Fest line up, June 2016.
Hana is impressive with pretty much everything. She's a multiinstrumentalist on top of a screamer and clean singer. There is actually a video of her playing a full cover of Nirvana's "Smells like Teen Spirit" with just household items. She doesn't even need instruments to make good music...
Doll$Boxx is a side project of the singer Fuki and the musicians of Gacharic Spin. They were only going to release a couple songs but ended up recording 2 albums. Sadly they are not currently working on anything and are focusing on their current groups. Fuki has fronted at least 4 different bands (Light Bringer, Doll$Boxx, Unlucky Morpheus and Fuki Commune) and a few side projects. She even performed with 2 different bands (2hr sets with each band) at the same festival. Unlucky Morpheus is her current band and DEFINITELY worth checking out! Gacharic Spin has been around since 2009 and have had a few changes over the years. The core original members consists of, Hana on drums,, Koga on bass and Tomo-zo on guitar. Their original singer left the band for health issues and passed away. Instead of replacing her, the drummer Hana took over vocals. They added the keyboard player, Oreo Reona, and later 2 dancers. They dropped the dancers and added another singer and a new drummer. Hana took center stage and learned to play guitar. Their sound is more electro pop. I love Doll$Boxx but not a huge fan of Gacharic Spin. A few of their songs are ok. I'll leave another comment with some song suggestions 🤘😊🤘
Sorry, small correction. Hana played bass and guitar in her previous bands, and sometimes she played a little drums. (Hana also plays piano / keyboard and other instruments) When Koga asked her in 2009 if she wanted to join her new band, Hana really learned how to play drums. Both were in the same class at school and have known each other since Koga moved from Nagoya to Tokyo at the age of 14.
For another Doll$boxx i suggest Loud Twin Stars. If you want to check out Gacharic Spin try Gold Dash. As for Unlucky Morpheous -- Black Pentagram is awesome.
Fuki the singer is amazing (checkout Unlucky Morpheus or Light Bringer, her other bands) Koga the bassist is one of the best slappers out there (seriously she slaps like it's nothing) Tomo-Zo the guitarist is also an amazing guitarist, has some great solos The drummer is just badass (she is screams, sings and all while drumming, check out the live of this song) The synth just gives this band its uniqueness
Great reaction, I was waiting for this. DOLL$BOXX released an album in 2012 and a mini album in 2017. They are a side project of Fuki and Gacharic Spin. Tomo-zo is my second favorite guitarist just behind Kanami. Like her, she has short but always amazing solos. Koga is my second favorite bassist (MISA is number one) and she is one of the best slappers from Japan. For the second album, she switched to a 5 string bass. Hana, the drummer, was my first crush (every metalhead's first crush I guess) and she's a swiss army woman. She plays drums, guitar, bass, she sings, raps and growls! Fuki is my favorite japanese vocalist. She's involved in several projects (LIGHT BRINGER, Unlucky Morpheus, DOLL$BOXX...), she's a natural workaholic. Oreo, the keyboard player is amazing too and she sings as well. DOLL$BOXX released a live DVD in 2018, you can find some songs (like "Sekaiwa Kitto Aiwo Shitterunda") from this performance on UA-cam. They also released 8 MV's for the first album and all the 5 songs of their mini album have MVs too. Now I you could do a reaction to their song "Marrily High Go Round" from their first album, that would be wonderful :)
As others have said this is a side project of Gacharic Spin and Fuki. Gacharic Spin are normally a bit more poppy, but they wanted to do something heavier than their normal stuff, so they got in a metal singer Fuki. They 1st got together a few years before when Gacharic Spin were on tour, they had had problems with their singer not turning up to rehearsals and shows, so then the tour started and the singer didn't turn up they went on TV and said if anyone knows their songs turn up and they can go on stage with them, and Fuki contacted them and did a lot of the tour with them. Fuki is one one the hardest working people that you'll come across, she has been involved in over 90 releases in 15 years, it maybe 100 in 17 by now, and mainly full album releases. There was a festival a few years ago where she appeared with 5 of the bands that went on stage. You should check out her main band Unlucky Morpheus, they have a tendency to hit like a speeding freight train and not stop. If you like females that can growl, then try the following. Galmet - Zero Fate Gear - Mega Bullets Yuzukingdom - Eyes Shut Tightly Nemophila - DISSENSION Dazzle Vision - Second and for the head f**k "Broken By The Scream - Ki Ra I"
As for Doll$Boxx song suggestions, there are several to choose from, but not many good quality live performances. Here's a short list: Shout Down Sekaiwa Kitto Aiwo Shitterunda Dragonet (live with a drum solo) Loud Twin Stars (live) A bonus live video to check out is Gacharic Spin drum solo. This is from a Gacharic Spin concert where Fuki sings as a guest vocalist. It's essentially a Doll$Boxx performance at a Gacharic Spin concert 🤘😊🤘
I've seen gacharic spin live which is everyone but the lead vocal, and they're even better live. They have a great stage presentation and have a lot of fun with their performance. Hana, the drummer you gush over is the lead vocal for that band and she also played guitar, a uke, a keytar, and a aerophone live. Also during the meet and greet they were totally awesome and went through extra effort to meet everyone in spite of the organizers trying to rush them along. Koga (the bass) is one hell of a showman too, their videos don't prepare you for how much of a star she is on stage.
All hail F Chopper Koga the allmighty! I actually learned the basics of slap bass partially by watching her tutorial. Even without understanding a word of japanese she manages to make it extremely clear.
If I wanted to describe Band Maid to someone, I would recommend this video by Doll$Boxx. Band Maid is the same. Some cute girls come on stage and no one is expecting anything. But when they start playing music everyone is blown away. This video was released in December 2012 and Miku Kobato founded six months later Band Maid. Maybe she saw this video and be inspired.
She's a really good bass player, they're all pretty good. They have some live stuff too and are very good live. I was chuckling when you said what you were going to do. Most of these ladies are in another band called Gacharic Spin. You might want to check them out too. The last I saw of them the drummer had given up the drumming to someone else and was playing a guitar instead, and doing vocals still. The blonde singer, as I understand it, has been a singer in a number of bands as numerous side projects of which this is one.
Definitly Check out the GazettE Blinding Hope the Vocalists' Range is incredible 👌🏻 and their Drummer Kai is also amazing and their Guitarist Aoi and Uruha As well As their Bassist Reita And as for Doll$Box definitly Shout Down this Song has it all nice Bassriffs, Synths and the Drummer with her Unclean Vocals the Song goes really Hard
It's pronounced Dollsboxx ($=s). You're one of the few who gave they keyboards props. Oreo Reona is really an essential part of the sound of Doll$boxx or Gacharic Spin, the main band of all D$B members except Fuki (the vocalist). Most reactors come from a more rock/metal background and are just annoyed by the keys. Thanks for that. I think that there are enough purely guitar oriented bands already and I like that D$B are putting out something different. Have a nice one.
If you think the music video is cool, watch them perform in concert. They have the full concert on here. High $pec High Return. These Women Rock the whole way through the concert, especially the last six songs. This group is mostly Gacharic Spin, except the lead singer Fuki. When their singer got sick, and later passed away, Fuki filled in for her. This is their side project, Doll$Boxx. Fuki does a lot of other projects, including solo. Gacharic Spin added a singer, Angelina, and the drummer, Hana moved to the front as guitarist/vocals and added a drummer. They have some pretty cool stuff too.
When everyone in the band wants to play a different genre of music. . . ;-) I'm not too familiar with DOLL$BOXX, but the songs I have heard I've really liked. Keep going with them, I'll follow along.
See the guns on the drummer these girls rock this whole cd rocks they have a concert called delicious live it the most fun 8ve had watching check out fragrance by them my favorite be well
They are making fun of the music industry in Japan (and Korea) which mass produces bands with cute girls (and boys too) who have to act a certain way. They are also making fun of "Otaku" culture--represented by the nerdy guys in the audience. It's all about "the Gap"--the disconnect between their cute appearance and their blistering, face-melting music. Band-maid, Lovebites, Babymetal, and several other bands also make use of the Gap, quite effectively I might add.
Not typical taht you see a drummer providing vocals for the band. It's very interesting and I imagine it's very difficult to manage. The synth work in this band adds alot of uniqueness to them which is what initially caught me about them. And as you listen more you realize they're all very good at their instruments, and the bass work is quite amazing. I haven't listened to them nearly as much as I have to Band-Maid, but I do need to check out more from them. The few I've listened to have been good.
F Chopper F Chopper F Chopper! when I do my Japanese supergroup F Chopper Koga is my Bassist I know not MISA but you can only take one member from each group.
Hana doesn’t over complicate the drum parts because she writes the music. The drums are great but their main function is to move the song along not for Hana to show off.
You might be interested in this one Gacharic Spin - TAMASHII (live) ua-cam.com/video/Jt7-GGRa3nc/v-deo.html with both of their drummers on stage. Or the same song played on toy instruments to show how bad ass they can be ua-cam.com/video/DzoxNWNnFpw/v-deo.html
I don't know why youtubers always react to their music videos from eight years ago, they just don't do this great band justice. Ideally, you should be able to react to songs on their excellent live dvd "High $pec High Return", like "Dragonet" (with drum solo included) or "Take my Chance" (a lot better than this version) or their MVs from three years ago.👍
A parody about maids? a year and a half before Band-Maid even existed!!!
Both bands (Band-Maid and Gacharic Spin) were in the NaonのYaon Fest line up, June 2016.
Btw one of the cool things about Doll$Boxx is that every song on both their ep and album have music videos.
everyone loves this blue-haired dream gurl :D

F Chopper Koga is one of my favourite bassists, along with MISA, Miho and Haraguchi-San. Japan rocks !!
Lol... Same here! Those 4 girls really incredible!!! XD
Their live album title is High $pec High Return. The performance from the show is awesome.

2014, discovered BABYMETAL, which lead to Gacharic Spin (this band minus Fuji, the lead singer) and Band-Maid.
The best year ever!!
Fuki the singer is amazing (checkout Unlucky Morpheus or Light Bringer, her other bands)
Koga the bassist is one of the best slappers out there (seriously she slaps like it's nothing)

WOW I saw these same replies about a month ago, to one of my comments. There should be one saying it works soon, but maybe not now :)
My favorite live Dolls Boxx is a 3fer Shout Down, Karakuri Town, and Aiawa Kitto Aiawa Chitturunda, all rock.
As for Doll$Boxx song suggestions, there are several to choose from, but not many good quality live performances. Here's a short list:
Shout Down

@@NewAeonWarlord there's 1 with koga teaching a little girl how to slap, it's the most wholesome thing on the internet.
