This is actually very helpful! My black moor goldfish had swim bladder disease and I just threw the peas in not knowing u had to take the skin off and microwave them. I will definitely do it the right way next time!
@@fairyfellerr2322 my fish didn't like peas so I gave lettuce and it worked. I also gave brined shrimp as my fish preferred non veg initially. My fish is all better now and can swim fast. I also got a cleaner on aquarium that removed fungus recommended by the pet store owner. I think that helped too.
Put plants in the tank, they will use the nitrates (break down the poo just like a garden) to grow. I have hundreds (Yes hundreds) of guppies in a 1mtr long tank that is extremely heavily planted with Vallis and my nitrate levels are always below 1.
I don't keep any fish in that tank anymore, but I also have a 15 gallon tank, that is pretty heavily planted now with Java Fern and Anubis (slow growing and I don't run CO2 so they didn't really help with the nitrate levels) it became quite overstocked from the guppies breeding so much and I unfortunately ended up with high nitrates all the time, even after a water change. long story short, I ended up over cleaning the tank and crashed the cycle. I'm posting a video about it on Friday, in case you are interested. Your guppy tank sounds great though. I don't know much about Vallis, but I bet it is faster growing and really helps with the nitrate levels. Below 1 is great!

And now her behavior looks stranged. She swims back and forth repeatedly without moving on its place. The shell harder to digest for the fish, the inside of the peas helps with digestion so giving them the shell aswell will not help, it’s hard my fish fight for food sometimes I try make sure they all have had enough food individually:)

Also, my tap water has ammonia in it so it kinda depends on your location I guess, but regardless, fish produce ammonia and most of the time when a fish is ill and you don't know why, it has to do with problems with the water parameters
If it was just a little bit of salt I think he'll probably be fine since you also washed the salt off, but I would try to go for the frozen or fresh peas in the future because the canned ones also have preservatives and I'm not actually sure if that can have an effect on fish
Could I use mushy peas along with daphnia in a gelatine base so I could then freeze the peas/daphnia gelatine mix. Then cut the gelatine mix into small block's to feed my goldfish?
I've never tried that before, but from what I've read online, yes gelatin is safe for fish. The only thing is that if you are feeding your fish peas for the sake of relieving constipation I would recommend only giving them the peas

I waited 3 days without feeding him and i keep check on the water temperature (( I use a submerged thermometer )) Today on the 4th day of treatment I try to feed him 1/4th of a skinless pea. He went for it but the problem is that it sinks to the bottom of his tank. I tried to transfer him into a smaller tank to feed him the pea to see if that worked but nothing worked. Should I try to wait another day? Or can there be something i use to keep the pea floating at the top of the tank long enough to eat it?

Hi, sorry to hear about your fish! Have you been able to test your water parameters? If you haven't I would recommend doing that, preferably with a liquid test kit like the API Master Test Kit. In my experience the paper test strips don't work accurately. A lot of the time if a fish is sick or something it is due to the quality of the water

Your tank is very small for those 2 fish, so I am guessing it is quite possible that you have a water quality issue. If you test your water there is a good chance that you will have an ammonia or nitrite reading because of the amount of waste these types of fish produce. When they are fully grown those 2 fish will require at least 151 litres. The tank I show in this video was only 37 litres, but it was just a temporary setup. Also it is quite uncommon for regular long bodied goldfish like yours to have swim bladder problems. It is mostly common with fancy goldfish with the shorter bodies. So I'm guess that feeding peas most likely will not solve the issue
I believe you should only feed peas to fish occasionally. From what I understand, and from what I've read online is that if you feed them peas too often they won't be able to absorb enough nutrients

Yeah, if they don't eat them within 5 minutes or so I would recommend taking them out

My oranda goldfish has swim bladder disease, but it isn't eating the peas. I tried crushing them, what do I do?
I'm so sorry to hear that. If it isn't eating the peas I would try not feeding your fish for a few days, as it may be constipated

Soak the peas in pureed garlic or the garlic juice from organic minced garlic. It is an appetite stimulant and helps their immune system.
They can be also spitting it out because pea size is too big

You can boil the peas in water. Just make sure the peas have cooled down before giving them to your fish
Yeah leave them in boiling water for 1.5 -2 mins and then put them on a plate and run cold water over them.

Canned pees don’t have salt, but the metal from the iron rubs off, giving a lot of iron.

What is the advantage of having a sponge filter? I've never had one before

My goldfish currently has swim bladder and won't eat the peas, my other fish is fussy as hell too only eats flakes
If it is a constipation problem, not feeding your fish for a couple days may help it's swim bladder as well.
