I as a teacher myself has a duty assigned to me to teach each and every single thing on the syllabus of my students ...and i have no right to just 'skip' a chapter on menstruation because i am narrow minded. It is such a shame. I am lucky to be born and brought up in such an area in india where this wasn't done. 🙄

I don’t k ow why periods are frown upon when most of these cultures celebrate child birth so much! If you don’t get your period you cannot conceive so shouldn’t women be considered sacred and special. Like our bodies do some amazing things I don’t see menstruation as anything gross or to be ashamed of.

As an indian, I'm also not sure. Like it depends from places to places. The ones that live in rural area really do have a lot of myths and superstitions about anything and everything. So a girl's period is no exceptional. I wonder too sometimes that from did they get all these beliefs.
