Marie-Anne- I did it!! I finally found my red lipstick!! I have searched year after year and had given up, but YOU inspired me to try again. I found a cosmetic sales lady my age and she helped me. In fact, she showed me two that weren’t even the brand she sells but she thought they would be perfect for me, and she was right! I was really out of my comfort zone the first day I wore it but everyone kept complementing how I looked that day and most had no idea what the change was. I feel so chic and I’m happy to say that Coco Chanel was right after all! Thank you thank you thank you for inspiring me!
I had "forgotten" about this color, really! I went out and bought a soft, fuzzy and very slim fitting navy blue turtleneck sweater. The amount of compliments I received was amazing! I felt so elegant in it, and the color did fabulous things for my complexion and eyes. Thank you for reminding me about this overlooked shade.
I can hardly believe it! I can't wear black and don't like brown garments and felt a bit helpless. This video was made for me! I can recreate almost all the outfits sith items already in my wardrobe - thank you so much. It's made my day!
Bonjour Marie Anne, Navy is my colour now as I will be 90 in a couple of years. And now I have added pink to compliment it thanks to you. Also Spring Green jacket for outdoor walking with navy and white spot neck scarf to add to my navy pants and light Merino a top. Love your videos and thank you for answering an earlier comment a couple of months ago with very kind thoughts. Think you would love a trip to Australia some time. Take Care. Aussie Jill

I’m really glad you did this video. I just ordered a navy dress and I was wondering if I could wear black shoes with it since that’s all I have. You set my mind at ease.
Marie-Anne, I have a plan now! Navy was always my favourite with white or red. As the years have gone by (I'm now 57) my wardrobe has lost its way. Now my aim is to invest in some "key" pieces in navy. I also love the idea of a journal to help my thought process, something I shall also aim to do. My style journey has started Marie-Anne. Thank you for your inspiration.
Dear Marie-Anne, You look absolutely stunning in this blouse! Would you please consider a video about how to care for a silk blouse?I think a lot of women avoid silk because they think is too delicate. Love all of the combinations you show. Well done!
Enjoyed this video especially since navy is the core neutral in my wardrobe. I'm always on the lookout for adding multi-coloured scarves and jackets that contain navy as linking elements similar to your choices. Another elegant colour to wear with navy is burgundy especially in the winter (footwear, belts and handbags). Accents of teal or aqua can be nice if it suits one's colouring.
Love navy - love that navy blouse ! I have a 3 season overcoat that shade that has been a favourite for 6 years now . A column of navy looks beautiful under a dark taupe topper !
I so agree, Marie-Anne, about not looking ‘frumpy’! Above all, going out and about should be about enjoyment. And we should all dress for it...even if we are only running errands or attending appointments. Navy is one of my preferred colors. So versatile! And all your outfits look terrific.
Navy is such a classic classy colour. I agree 100% with you as I'm maturing I find I'm turning to navy more than black. In finding black too harsh nowadays. You are spot on Marie Anne. X
While black is my ‘go to’ neutral, navy has always been a close second when I can find it, especially now that my hair is more salt than pepper. I can wear red, pink, peacock blue, grey and white with either so that makes my existing wardrobe pieces go farther. Marie Anne I love hearing your thoughts and seeing your outfit combinations. They inspire me to think about new ways to combine what is in my closet. Merci!
You have great taste and your wardrobe is so versatile and well planned. Love all the jackets and the cap you showed us. Amazing to visually see how many colors go so well with navy! Thanks for a very insightful video!
I've just bought a navy blazer and I'm delighted with it. I'll be wearing it both smart and casual. It will need a very small adjustment to the length of the sleeves, but I can do that myself quite easily. I'll be able to wear so much with it, I'm so excited! 😁
One of my favorite colors is navy blue. Brown shoes and belt are my choice when wearing it along with white, ivory, cream and beige or camel and light gray or light blue. I don’t wear lots of red but eventually I wear navy blue jeans, a white shirt or sweater and a red jacket. It looks beautiful and joyful. Orange looks very nice with navy but is not a color I wear. What a versatile color is navy blue in deed! I adore your lessons Marie-Anne. Merci! Your hat makes you look very youthful and beautiful! Au revoir!😸
Just this morning my mom looked at my navy blazer and said "that is one color I do not have. I'm always wearing black blazers." Great timing for this video. Thank you so much. 😄
I've loved navy blue since I was in my 20's. To me, it is so classy. It was hard to find in the USA for quite a few years. I was so happy when I could find it again! I wear navy with burgundy in the winter and navy with red in summer.
I could not find it in Australia for years in the mid 2000s so when I see navy silk shirts I like I buy them now....... I still find good navy blue suits a little difficult to find
This is so true that navy was very hard to find in the US, even for decades! I always loved it as a child and picked up something navy when I would find it in those scarce years, or resorted to buying navy cashmere in the mens dept.
Oh I loved all the outfits you prepared today but I really love the red! The multi coloured jacket, red belt & shoes was so lovely ❤ I adore that blouse anyway & your pink one & I must say I'm going to start wearing navy blue😀 thank you Marie-Anne 😘
Loved this video!. I wear navy blue a lot and it was wonderful to see how you style this beautiful color. Beautiful blouse, loved the navy polka dot scarf too. Merci 💙💙💋
Navy blue also looks beautiful with turquoise, aqua, light green, apple green, light pink, fuchsia, bright or pale yellow, orange, gold, silver, burgundy, tan, cognac, rust, white, cream, ecru... it never ends :)
I love navy blue and all the outfits, my favorites are the wrap, multi colored jacket, the green jacket. Love the red shoes! Your blouse is beautiful ❤️ Merci Marie-Anne
Favorites are the 1st red silk scarf and the green wool jacket. I have been remembering some items I had as a child and a favorite was a spring green simple dress with wide navy trim. I visited my older sister at her college and felt so stylish. I remembered that dress when you showed your light green skirt.
Marie-Anne, I loved you video. Navy has always been a staple in my wardrobe, especially now with my casual clothes. I really like pairing it with rust in the fall. You might remember that the reason I started following you is to figure our why Parisians looked so well-dressed all the time last fall, and you reminded me of the wraps. Most women, no matter their age, were wearing some kind of large wraps around their necks. They always looked so good, and warm! Thank you!

Thank you for the video. Specialy when you said " my goodness it's very frumpy, lol. I like navy bleu very much. Also baby bleu. I already change a lot of my wardrobe. Again thank you for your advice 😚
Navy blue is such a universal color. I cannot take black because it wears me and makes me look like I'm going t my own funeral but I have bought many navy items of clothing lately. I love it with olive green.Your video here is great, one of my faves.I find navy blue such a great color basic for building a workable wardrobe.
So beautiful! My favourite is with the gray coat with the red wrap. I love navy blue it is such a classic colour and versatile. My silk blue blouse is less elegant, just a normal cut. I must found the right pair of jeans or put it with trousers.
I love navy. I have so many navy and white tops in my wardrobe. I often wear them with my jeans and red flat shoes. I love the pop of red (one of my favourite colours). I think your navy blouse would have looked wonderful with that hot pink jacket that was hanging in your wardrobe. Such a fun colour and a wonderul way to brighten up a grey winter's day. Merci beaucoup for your videos. I love them,
Great video as always Marie-Anne. I love wearing navy, it flatters my pale complexion better than black, but it goes with everything. I love wearing navy with red or white. I really love your red patterned Joules scarf. In the Spring, I love wearing a pop of pink or yellow with my navy, as a single accessory, perhaps a scarf or a sweater. 😍❤️😍
I love all the looks. My favourite is the brown shoes and the brown leather belt makes the outfit look elevated and expensive. They all look great with your red lips and I love the hat. I remember being in Paris and seeing the ladies wear their Pea coats with a wrap over them. I loved that:)
Navy is also my core color since I am blonde and fair skinned with gold undertones. I do love the way you style clothing for women over 50 and suggest classy and fun at the same time. Thank you so much.
I used to wear dark blue as my base color in spring and summer, and would retire it in favor of black/charcoal for autumn and winter. But lately, I've been adding a lot of deep blue to my "cold season" wardrobe and finding that it looks just as beautiful--and a touch more interesting--than my default black. Also, instead of wearing black to evening gala events, I've been favoring ink blue, sapphire, saturated indigo, and navy. I like how it keeps the mystery and formality without being too harsh against my skin. Did I hear you say, "I don't wear yellow"? Me either! I find the color so happy and energizing, but most shades of yellow don't suit me. I do have, however, a beautiful sunflower yellow crossbody bag that I love and use as an accent piece--very far away from my face!
I have light olive coloring and golden yellows don’t flatter me, however, the cool yellows do work, like lemon yellow. Maybe that would work for you, too!
@@lenneyalderfer4955 Thank you for taking the time to reply and suggest a lemony shade! When I was very, very young, I used to love a sunflower yellow summer dress I had. What a fun and informative video!! And Marie-Anne you are just stunning in everything!!!! I have learned SO MUCH for YOU. Thank you! You have truly been a great resource for me as well and everyone who subscribers. I have a red cashmere wrap that I forgot about until I saw how fabulous YOU LOOK in yours. thanks again for another exciting, fun, informative video .
The black jacket with the ivory piping that your wore for Prince Charles is probably my favorite. When you were holding the jacket up next to you, I didn’t think that it would look good with the outfit. But when I saw it on with the whole ensemble, I absolutely loved it!
I love navy with pink. Or turquoise blue with navy blue. I was never a blazer fan but opt more for smart cardigans. I really love that grey coat !! Thankyou for the tips! The brown shoes and sparkly heels are great!!
Great vid! Thanks Marie-Anne. Love the navy blouse with denim. Also the brown leather jacket looks great with the navy... I wouldn't have expected it. 🤩
Great video! I do like your new cap, and I look forward to more navy blue videos. 😄 I would love to see you styling a navy blazer. My favorite pairing of yours here is the red, white and blue sweater. Beautiful!
Well, you've done it once again, Marie-Anne....so many wonderful examples. Choosing my favorite is difficult. Oh!, that "unexpected element" of the red belt (at first I thought it was pink), beautiful! The red scarf is still one of my favorite items you have. I'd love to have it, too. Pairing grey and navy was a staple when I was growing up. The Cap, you are so adorable in hats, and this is no exception. It's so jazzy. ---Baby Coco has a friend? What is his name? Thank you for this very informative video! I recently rearranged my closet after seeing one of your other videos. I’m new here so still catching up. I immediately started seeing new combinations of clothes to wear and where I need to build up my wardrobe, next project is to declutter. I love navy blue and all your combinations (love the cap!) I wish we had more seasons in Southern California to wear beautiful coats but now I’m inspired to add a quality navy blue peacoat and jacket to my list, merci! Paris was one of our favorite places to travel to in 2001-2009 and wish I knew what to wear then in my late 30’s to 40’s. I looked like the typical tourist! I’m sure I showed up in someone’s photo of what not to wear in Paris! 🤭 As you said, we change as we age. I’m loving the classic, timeless look.
Outstanding video!! Loved all the ideas combining jeans with different tops! Combining something like a leather jacket and silb blouse is so interesting and chic! We see this style often in LA and mixing something masculine with something ultra feminine is so fantastic! Thank you for the enormous work you devote to your videos... very grateful! Merry Christimas!!:)x

Marie-Anne, I just found this video. Thank you for the many lovely ideas for styling Navy colored outfits. I really needed this! I learned a lot! A bientot! 😘
I loved all the outfits. I was surprised how good the green jacket looked next to the navy blouse. I really enjoy your videos Marie_Anne. I have been interested in style all my adult life. I love jackets and bags in particular. I find it difficult finding shoes that don't hurt my arches. Your new hat is gorgeous. You suit it.
I’m glad for your videos and I am helped by them. I’m also pleased that you will continue to put out videos during these difficult times. We need to think about happier things! God bless!
I just love navy!! I just bought a sweater in navy and a bunch of silk scarves and I love mixing and matching and also some loafers in different colors. By the way, I love your cap! I just found a really cute plaid beret for the winter! I love berets and used to wear them for many years. I’m finally finding my style again that is comfortable and really chic and elegant. 👌🏼😍
I still love black, but this year bought a knee length Club Monaco navy wool coat with a (fake) removable fur collar. I love it with my jeans, dresses and plaid wool pants. I agree navy is such a go-to color especially as we get "less young". I love your Lilysilk blouse, a very versatile piece. I see now how you don't have to "save" your silk dressy blouse for special occasions, but can wear it with a leather moto jacket and jeans. Great video Marie-Anne, as was the Jean-Paul Gaulthier video before this!
This video was such fun to watch. Navy has been my go-to color for years, and I use it with many of the same combinations of texture and color. Each of your outfits was a home run, but my favorite was the brown biker jacket paired with jeans and silk top. That’s something I would wear; it’s edgy and sophisticated. I’ll be searching my closet for a similar look!
How nice that you love all of your clothes. I think that's the first time I've heard someone say that. What a joy that would make getting dressed every day! Something to aim for if budget allows.
I really like the navy blouse. I wish I could afford to buy it now before it’s sold out. I like the combo with the red belt. And with the red wrap. Funny story, I was visiting my 89 year old mother at Christmas time and was getting a coat to take her out and she said she wanted her red wrap. I said I didn’t know you had one but are you sure you will be warm enough? She said it’s very warm. And she really looked sharp in it contrasting against her white hair. It was very stylish on you too. And I can envision it in a burgundy color too. I can’t get used to the boot cut pants yet. But they look sharp on you.
I have a pair of bright yellow pumps that are a fun “pop” with navy! I dont wear them often because they are so noticeable but they are different, unexpected and so cute for a change now and then. BTW - you look young and adorable in your new cap!
Oh my gosh! Navy is my black! I stopped wearing black a few years ago but I wear navy every day and I love it with red! I just loved this video!! I tell all my (psychiatry) patients about you - I even mimic your accent (everyone tells me I do a great job) and I tell them that if they need an instant mood lifter to watch you!! Better than antidepressants!!

Wonderful tips. I do love navy, but haven’t focused on it for a long time. Now I will.
Really like all the items worn with the blouse and jeans - everything works! I like this style of dressing. x
There's another Lily silk blouse I was looking for! The Navy, I love it! Thanks, Marie- Anne!!
So lovely to meet with someone who loves their clothes as much as I do! Merci beaucoup for the fun video
navy blue is fantastic and versatile and perfect for those of us who can't wear black
Beautiful!
Navy and grey are stunning together, I never thought of pairing them!
They are now stars of the Internet.

"Peanut"!, what a great name. I love seeing them in your videos. Thank you for sharing so much of your life. xoxoxo from a fan in Ohio/USA.
I like how you pull accessories to change an outfit into a new one. I got some more ideas now. Thanks!
I love navy with red.....like those gorgeous red shoes of yours MA! And yes I do like your new cap! It suits you well.😀
Outstanding video!!
*WOW* !!!! *LOVE your outfit choices* !!!!! *I do own a few navy pieces but need to own more...* !!!! *Thank you for ALL of your GREAT advice Marie-Anne* !!!! #FrenchChicStyle #MarieAnneLeCoeur
Finally a channel with styles that I love!
Merci Sylvia and a Big French Chic Welcome to you 🤗
I love the navy Stetson cap and the last coat. I think red and pink always go well with Navy too. TFS
You suit it.
.....but your dog making an appearance is the best!!
@@MarieAnneLecoeur oh, I only saw the one, I'll have to go back and watch again....
I’m glad for your videos and I am helped by them. I’m also pleased that you will continue to put out videos during these difficult times. We need to think about happier things! God bless!
All the coats/jackets are lovely. The moto jacket really gives an edge.
That cap looks so stylish! Love the blouse too.
I do love navy, Marie-Anne, it's such a wonderfully versatile colour. :)
Merci Julie - they are all chosen with care and cared for 🤗❤️
I really like the navy blouse.
But they look sharp
on you.
I still love that silk blouse as much as I did in your Paris video. Navy is so versatile, my second favorite. Of course black is my #1!
All your outfits are beautiful! I do think it is more difficult to find navy pieces though. Thank you !
Love the multi-colored with zipper with the red shoes - ooh la la.
I absolutely adore that cap.
