This song is average junk. Listen to Way Back When by Buckethead.

    • @jameslatimer7024
      @jameslatimer7024 3 роки тому +6

@@xiyx9748 I've never heard of Buckethead before. I listened to that song (if you want to call it a song). I found it very simplistic, repetitive, and juvenile, and I didn't hear anything in it that impressed me at all, and certainly nothing that a seven year-old, beginner guitar player couldn't pull off in about 5 minutes. When I say it sucked, that's really an understatement. On the other hand, it takes actual talent to write, play, and sing a song like the Sarah Jarosz song we're commenting on here. I can't see how anyone in their right mind could say that it was "average junk", with a straight face. I guess we all have different tastes. As someone who's been writing and playing music for now 35 years, I can say without question, hesitation, or reservation, that yours sucks, if you don't like this song, and you do like the Buckethead song. Nothing personal. Just a difference of opinion...and obviously, a difference of experience. 😎🎸

    Build me up from bones
    Wrap me up in skin
Hold me close enough to breathe me in
    The moon's a fingernail
    Scratching on the back
Of the night in which we lay beside
I held every inch of you
I wrote every line for you
I made time when time was all but gone
You're the love I've always known
The night's so dark and grey
But you've helped me find my way
Through the wild and wonders of this world
So take me with you now
I need to show you how
I can love you better than before
I held every inch of you
I wrote every line for you
I made time when time was all but gone
You're the love I've always known
    Play it sweet and low
We've got no where to go

I discovered Sarah about 6 months ago while watching PBS' Transatlantic Sessions. She performed Annabelle Lee with a large group of other fantasticly talented musicians. Now I have a playlist with at least 50 of Sarah's songs on it - I listen to it when I go to bed, and again during the day... I have been playing Sarha Jarosz' music A LOT over the past 6 months! I hope she comes around NC again one day so I can go see her perform live. I can not say enough good stuff about this musical genius. She is a great talent and I believe she is going to go very far as an artist. I have put all of her albums (CD's) on my Christmas list for this year! :)

How exciting! Do you know her or her family? I wonder at what age she showed interest in singing and stringed instruments! I knew she was from Texas originally, and I think she moved to New York at some point. Thank you for commenting on my post!

+Beverly Krebs Yes her parents were teachers at my school. I know she started playing music and singing at a young age. Wimberley, TX produces a good amount of musicians and actors. It's a cool little town. :)

Maybe you should take music lessons and try your hand at a music career! Maybe being from there will give you some sort of advantage! LOL!

+Beverly Krebs I do play guitar and sing, although just for fun. I'm self taught and just enjoy playing. My true passion is coaching soccer. ;)

I just realized that Spotify introduced me to your music years ago based on other musical styles I dig.
Loving that this live performance was recommended to me. This particular song helped me as my heart was grieving/healing from a loss.
    Thank you Sarah. 🕊️

One of a few songs in my life i'd loved when i first heard it. Many of her others are just as good. At the end of many of my days and nights playing all kinds of music, i come back around to this song. Nicely done.
