just a good song? this was a masterpiece which scooped the awards and was a massive worldwide hit. And far from his only hit. But more importantly it is unique and timeless.
@@alwaysright3718do you have nothing else to contribute bar that one copy paste…? 😂
@@screambluemurder101right? lol
This collaboration is musical gold. Absolutely pure and perfect.
1.35 greatest musical switcheroo ever - sends chills. 3.03 second greatest musical switcheroo ever more chills. I was in a night club in Thailand and the DJ somehow managed to mix thumping tunes with this song. Awesome.
Guy on the Xylophone: " My Year 6 music classes really paid off!
😂
😂😂😂😂😂
🤣🤣🤣
😂 Makes me think slightly of tambourine guy from postmodernjukebox
It's a sample from Baa Baa black sheep
This song encapsulates my college years. This holds a lot of memories for me. Thank you for this gold!
Thanks! It's a great song but it really comes to life when Kimbra sings.
Kimbra’s feature is my favourite part too! (to nobody’s surprise 😂)
Well Gotye wrote it for her to sing with him. It's also why they didn't do anything else - it's a unique song with a unique statement, which he only wanted to do with her. Inspired choice, as she is the perfect partner for it though. It's music art.
there's something innate damn magical aum aum beats 💪😁
Who would’ve thought something so simplistic could be your favourite song of all time? It’s those harmonies between Gotye & Kimbra that get me every time. Kimbra is so beautiful.
Is it crazy to say this is one of the best songs of all time? Songs like this feel like they were unearthed from some heavenly vault that has always existed. Gotye just dug it up. Masterpiece.
Who is still watching this in 2024?
Lol this was posted in 2024.
😂😂😂
Hi from Russia❤

Why do you give a shit?
I'm from Canada, my non verbal autistic son loves listening over and over... My respect to u
Эта песня ,не дань моде ,это то ,что идет из души ,Дух разговаривает с нами таким образом !
И ваш особенный ребенок прекрасно понимает это
There's so many parts to this song, it's really impressive to pull it off live.
I’m 66, I just found this song, I’ve listened to dozens of times now. Helps me make sense of my divorce and my ex.
I'm 16, recently broke up with my boyfriend and this song describes how I feel a lot
We find someone and make them our lives, but then it goes wrong, and we must look again for someone to love. The human condition makes us need to love. There will be those who need that love, too; you just have to be open to it and not look for it. Love will find you, proximity and exposure. We never get older just our bodies do. We are still our kid self just with more life experience and knowledge. Be young again.
I hope you find peace and self love after your divorce. I had a divorce when I was 22, it shredded me, I felt guilty, but he cheated on me constantly, I caught him in the act with a 16 year old runway, I finally realized it wasn’t my fault.
Same
It helps me kind of deal with unresolved anger and resentment from a break-up that occurred nearly 20 years ago now. While I certainly was no angel, I was so mentally and emotionally abused in that relationship, blamed for everything, yet codependently hanging on his every word and feeling hoping to make things better. I just couldn't live that way anymore. We tried being friends for a little while after the break-up, but after a while, I just couldn't. So, it's now been 17 years since I've seen or spoken to him. He's literally somebody that I used to know.
Gotye dropped this masterpiece now he's somebody that we used to know...
Thank you for covering this song!!!!
It's the song I was named after (my parents were too bent out in the 80's, to realize the true meaning hahahaha!!!!)
But, none the less, it's a fabulous song!!!! So happy to see it played and remembered! God BLESS the 80's!!!❤❤
Besides this being an iconic song, the delivery is so authentic. The pain is real.
Listened to it on repeat at the time of its release and still gives me those same goosebumps now. A stone cold classic.
Love how she glares at him when singing with such power and emotion
the lessons i learned from this video are too indescribable for words. especially the lessons i learned by watching kimbra.
Man I freaking love this song and it never gets old it just keeps getting freaking better 😎👍
So happy that these performances are still so beautifully polished. Fantastic voices. Huge respect.
This song is just straight up mesmerizing, it’s like you hear it and your hypnotized.
This song came out of nowhere and pricked my heart like as if were made based off of the heartache I was in at the time.
Kimbra - devastating here - the make-up, the hair, the voice - just perfect.😙
2024 and I the way she looks at him almost made me cry. Some people just have a passion that wakes up extra senses beyond the physical world. My God what a voice.
I remember when this song came out. I was flying from Orlando to Sacramento with a layover in Las Vegas, and I listened to this on repeat during both flights. Never got sick of it, still not sick of it.
2:34 who is here for the 30 seconds of Kimbra ?
What a great vibe. Puts me in a mellow mood.
I am! Never get tired of this song by these two singers.
One of the best songs ever written and recorded. Absolute musical perfection.
The last look of her it's spectacular
