Good info. Very concise and easy to understand. I bought a new engine and when I went through it the clutch actuating pin is not centered in the shaft and the clutch plate is uneven. At least I know what’s going on in there. Thank you well done

Well done mister, Thank you for explaining everything clearly, Much easier than I first thought, I have a heavy duty spring that I got from a buddy and I ordered a Racing Super Clutch SAF clutch from Darcy Hemeon at DLH.
You've helped tremendously with something I was hung up on.

My first motorized bike, engine from BikeBerry. Lots of issues wrong. The clutch was cracked. Replaced it. Now I find the clutch shaft is bent, causing the clutch to wobble on the shaft. Have a new shaft and bearings on order. Golly gee can't wait to see what happens next!

You started strong. The video was perfect up until the point where you got lazy and didn't install the bearings, and that whole thing where you leave out how to install the sprocket and you just placed the cover with the arm bar up with your hand and told us that it should work fine, instead of just really doing it and then demonstrating it working for us to see. You should fix that because people need videos like this one. I still gave it a thumbs up.

Do you have to split the case to pull that hole shaft assembly apart ? I removed the clutch plate and with no pressure on 5he clutch I can only turn my back wheel a half of turn then it seems like it's locked up it's a brand new Zelda 80 engine it's probably got 1 mile on it . I noticed once I got everything together when I would pull the clutch handle in and walk the bike it seemed like it had a tight spot in it when I would roll the bike . If you could give me any ideas it would be greatly appreciated .

    • @wtmotobikes8838

Sounds like those studs might be backing out some. You can tap them back Into place with a hammer. They pretty much just act as a small wedge. Give them a smack to put them back in place. Shouldn’t hurt anything by hitting them a bit. Just not to hard.

Dear Sir-Do you recommend applying a small amount of grease to the crank drive gear and the clutch gear?Been doing this on my 49cc Grubbee GT-2B Skyhawk for about 11 years. I also put a small amount of grease on the bucking bar and ball. The clutch grips well but is a little sticky upon initial use. Was going to install the high temp orange clutch pads and hopefully reuse everything else, just removing the star retaining nut and outside plate/spring prior to replacing the pads. Appreciate any feedback-John in Texas

My new wildcat pk80 when it got shipped had many clutch problems, the actuator was stuck almost half way in. I took the flower nut all the way off and it went back to normal however as the flower nut would tighten so would the bar leaving me with very little adjustment when pulling in the clutch cable. it was ok for about an hour of riding before it started to slip really bad. I then yesterday tried to tighten the clutch spring which didn't do much to fix it, if anything I overtightened it to the point where I could barely even pull the lever in, the actuator bar was still most of the way in and the clutch was slipping not as much. any suggestions?

Tighten up your flower nut on the back side as tight as you can get it. Then with some longer bolts try to put the cover on and reach the case with the bolts. Tighten till you get the clutch lever to be able to press on the bucking bar. Then press the clutch lever arm and then tighten the flower not again. You should be able to put the cover on now or are close. Repeat till the cover seats against the case.

GREAT INFO. I just installed a pk80 by runwell purchased from BMW. I started it and went to the end of the block and back, let it idle (had to turn the idle screw in all the way) I shut it of and 5 min. later I went to go to the store popped the clutch to start it and it slipped so bad it would not turn the engine over to start up. I TRIED to adjust the clutch with no luck. I found that the clutch pads were so tight in their holes in the cage that I believe that the only contact with the pads was the pressure plate. Wondering your thoughts on this. I don't know if you have encountered one of these (so called PK80 engines, NO rod markings) I have many questions about these engines, they are very different in design than my GT5 Pro Racing that I'm going to rebuild with I hope to be better quality components. O and i did upgrade sparkplug to a ngk plug and i killed the kill switch! Just unplug the red wire and tape it down. Screw that thing the stock kill switch is trash even if you cut wires which is better for a stronger more stable connection they still go bad fast and will keep you from starting.. so i just keep my idle set low that way i can it turns itself off almost let it die down than hit choke its off

I can see that English isn't your first language, kind of difficult to follow your comment. You can email BikeBerry, call then or even chat online. They'll be glad to sell you an engine. Lots of 66cc engines out tjere with lots of companies selling them. Good luck JonnyC!

Rodney Brown thats tough man. It could tons of stuff. Is it completely stock? Stock port timing is horrible in these do that could be it. Stock jetting in the NT carbs is way rich, so that could also be it. Stock exhaust is like almost no flow, so that as well could be an issue.

The bucking bar which pushes into a ball bearing is too far inset on mine. Have not disassembled yet. I suspect clutch shaft assembly trouble of some sort. If so, where can I order clutch shaft assembly parts from. I do have engine serial number.

I changed my bucking bar and the steering wheel, but the clutch still don’t get pressure, I think the bucking bar needs to be bigger, or I need to press something to get the space inside smaller idk what to do

You ever make a UA-cam video? It’s called being nervous lol. I’m not good at recording myself and keeping my composure. But thanks man. Appreciate the Criticism. At least I got the answer half right.
