    Clear easy to follow instructions, with just the right amount of warnings on what not to do. I have a motor with a starter and it's a little different in the clutch area but carb is same. My problem is mostly now in the sprocket, problem keeping it centered and running true. Thank you for the tutorial. Much appreciated. BTW, I'm 86 yrs old and looking forward to using this bike this summer.

      You ABSOLUTELY hit the nail on the head about the magneto leads being backwards!!! Brand new motor, just WOULD NOT start and I went through everything trying to diagnose it, turns out it was the leads being reversed! I have also noticed these motors are NOTORIOUS for the threads on the end of the crankshaft stripping at the drop of a hat to where the won't tighten back up,! I have TWO of these motors this has happened to, is there any OTHER ways to fix it besides rethreading it to the next size down or replacing the whole assembly?!? Thanks in advance! Be blessed.

    #BUILDITRIGHT This whole series has been A great refresher. I had built my first mini bike when I was about 13, 2 different engines to make one that would get running. Then I got into landscape work always fixing weed eaters and other 2 strokes. I did buy a cheep kit online it only took me 4 hours to compleat my Schwinn 29inc. Beach Cruiser into a now motorized assist bike. It was this video that helped me to set that pesky idle screw to almost perfect from there I let it warm up and fine tuned it. Thank you for all the help!

    Ed here... Wow ! What a calm & clear.. View & explanation.. I've viewed your video's before... Excellent stuff.. Question for u... My carburetor is sitting at almost like you have yours... And yours seemed at 45 degrees higher than mine.. I understand yours is a show and tell.. Mine is new... Break in two 4 liters of gas.. Still running good.. But sounds bad.... Before i give it.. To my grandson so we can ride together... Suggestions tony... Can it run better with a level carburetor...

    • @tonytaylor5087
      @tonytaylor5087 2 роки тому +1

      Great question Ed. As level as you can get it is most definitely the way to go. Of course many factors are involved like engine mounts etc.
      This bike is hanging from the ceiling hoist at the moment so it’s definitely out of level compared to how it’ll sit on on the ground fully assembled.
      Now, as for sounding bad. My black bike sounded bad for a few tanks a gas. Since yours is new I’d dial it in as best you can then ride it a lot to truly break it in. It should sound better and better.

    Well this guy seems to know what he's talking about, Wish he were the one from Bike Berry that I talked to when I got my first 2 kits. Whomever I spoke with gave me bad advise! I asked a simple question, How much torque for the head studs! I got back an e-mail stating 17 psi, Which I thought was a bit high but figured Bike Berry would know. Well it crushed my Head gasket, Brass one and caused a major air leek. As well as low compression. Got to say even though Bike Berry may sell these kits, Don't go thinking they know any more about your 2 stroke than anyone else does, Cause they really don't. Tony seems to have a clue, But he is still only one person there.

    This was very helpful for explaining the details. The little paper assembly manual that came with the kit is really vague and confusing. So, thank you for showing us! #BUILDITRIGHT

    #Build it right. Liked, shared and subscribed. My bike ran great after build, but then the chain broke while riding and caused me to wipe out. Since then, I have wired, rewired, changed out cdi 3 times,and I can't get it started. It's making me crazy,!!!! I will join your forums to see what everyones advice is, along with yours. Thank you for such an informative video!✌️
