4th favorite band ever. After… Beatles. Zep. Floyd. Then Heads. hip hop pioneers. FACTUAL. David Byrne and Tina Weymouth (the bass player) are American national treasures.
The best part is when he comes out of his limbo and seems buffeted by headwinds while the background singers are rising up with their arms outstretched, seemingly impervious to exhaustion. "Time isn't after us, time isn't holding us!"
One of the greatest bands of our generation and many other generations. Their music lives forever. I love how your face lights up as the chorus kicks in.
If you've ever seen Sex, Lies and Videotape, it may give you more clarity. There's one point in the movie where James Spader says, and I'm paraphrasing, "
Still love This band...so quirky. Thanks for doing this one. For more quirky fun...please try Primus songs: Those Damned Blue Collar Tweekers - (Live Woodstock '94)__My Name is Mud__Too Many Puppies__Tommy the Cat__Jerry Was a Race Car Driver...and there's more.
I think you'd love 'Girlfriend is Better' 'Slippery People' or 'Life During Wartime' from the Live album 'Stop Making Sense' Where is your friend? I hope she's ok.
Mad genius with a great band.

I've watched this performance a dozen times and this one was the first time I even noticed that part with the background singers. Incredible.
Love your expression watching the madman David Byrne singing strange lyrics and dancing weirdly haha -its awesome music.

That’s one of my favorite songs ever.
David Byrne understood glitches in the matrix long before the movie the Matrix.
I've always thought this was a song about being overwhelmed by your life and the craziness of the world. Same as it ever was. Yet the Earth goes on...

Too much fun!
Good song back in High school
Heavy rotation MTV video back in the 80s. Has remarkable shelf life despite the low-budget green screen SFX.
You’re a beautiful woman with a beautiful accent. Good choice of song.

Without a doubt, just relieved I had stopped taking additives by then, otherwise, I would still be out there wondering what had happened.
