Your're a champion. Your video helped me sort out the power steering switch issue as I have a 4 inch inlet pipe. Been through a few switches, one set of lines and had several leaks. All I had to do was bend the line down. Cheers.

I have a fgx xr6 turbo and had the airbox upgrade and the battery relocation package done on my car..All I can say is wow, awesome. For the money I paid I was so happy. So that is the first upgrade, 2nd upgrade is a turbo gauge using the blocked hose from the first upgrade. Easy as,and who doesn't like a gauge.
Iv got my kit all fitted in my fgx. The battery tray was a bit flimsy with battery installed. I made up another leg and welded it to bottom of battery tray and it bolts down into a nut sert I put into car body. Looking into engine bay I added the extra leg to bottom of battery tray in the back left corner because the battery could rock a bit on an angle back towards the inlet manifold. It's solid as a rock now. I have a standard size battery and once all fitted there is next to no clearance between front corner of battery nearest indicator and the other side by air con pipe. About 3mm at front and 1mm by air con hose. Measure, measure, measure before you drill holes. Sit battery in tray before drilling holes and get clearances right. The fgx may have less room than fg models.
Decided on the mackielec kit because of zacbaldy, just a bonus that you guys also have a channel showing your way of installing it

can you do intercooler install and piping? what about turbo oil feed line
Just installed mine got poor idle near stalls when coming to a stop have I most likely got a pipe not done up tight enough? Should it just run as normal ?

Do you keep it on the throttle body after removing everything else? Bit stumped as you as you stated removed yours.

While the kit looks easy to install and smart looking why have XR6 graphics cut into the top maybe a sticker but sucking hot air through the cut out
Hey Mitch, is there anything else you can put instead of that black stop for the BOV block? are you aware of something else that’s more robust? I notice over time they crack from heat etc..

Yo! just ordered a kit just wondering what size drill bit and inserts you used looks way cleaner being able to bolt it down
I nut serted mine, use nut serts to suit 6mm x1 metric bolts, drill bit size was 9mm or 9.5mm to fit the nut serts.

You guys make some cool stuff! I think you guys should develop a cold air feed duct like the stock one over the radiator only bigger that feeds air into your turbo side airbox. That would be awesome.
Hi mate I have a 2012 mk2 xr6, and was told to be carefull when removing my battery to change my headlight globes as some people have experienced ICC problems after battery removal, are you aware of this and do you know the trick to either fix or prevent.
Hi mate, yes that is a common problem.
Best thing to do is hook up a memory minder, so as to avoid the car loosing power all together, this has known to elevate alot of issues. But alas isnt a gaurenteed fiz

Can you laser cut G6E TURBO instead of XR6?
Yes mate on our website there is a drop down menu to select what logo you would like, g6e is in that menu!

Mackielec kit will most definitely give you flutter!
And includes a genuine k&n filter unlike some other brands :)

Intake kit is all made here in aus by us mate, all manufactured locally and in house, filter comes from the usa but thats about it!
Unfortunately no catch can just yet mate

Is yours not fluttering? I have the Antz one and not getting any flutter, thinking of buying k&n pod to try and get a flutter
@@eksnay for me, on an old 03 BA, it was the fitment of the airbox which replaces the battery location. It's just not a great fit on mine that's all. Works fine though so maybe I was a bit harsh with my initial comment. I'm happy enough with it I guess and it does its job.
@@Dyl.ridley Na mate it's more the way the airbox fits for me. Flutters hard tho, mines loud as hell. Try a turbosmart or gfb bov and the process west x over replacement pipe kit. Have you upgraded your intercooler too? I have the HDI kit with hard piping all through mine.
what s the aim of doing this?
This relocated the airbox to the turbocharger side of the engine, which reduces intake piping length, wich also decreases inlet temps, which helps your intercooler do a more efficient job. Not to mention looks fantastic by removing the plastic crossover off the engine!
