Can't beat those 90's FMV cutscenes
The music is so freaking awesome. I cant beleave that i never knew of this game. Time to finally order a used saturn.
Considering this was made for release in June1995, this is actually over the top. I'm not sure why there's such negative feedback below, my mind is actually blown. Also the player has some serious Shinobi skill.
That elevator sequence starting at
I don’t understand the hate. This game looks insane.
One of my most beloved games in the Sega Saturn. Probably the best shinobi I've ever played. So much better music than Shinobi Legions! That final stage was a real pain! They just don't make them like that any more.
Amazing!!! It has all the elements a classic needs to have. One of the best fusions of a 2D game built with cutscenes, screenshots, musical background and engaging story. Really memorable... Unfortunately for me only featured now by this post but it made it count anyway...
That intro is pure 90s...

Uma obra de arte em forma de game!!!! best seller
The Saturn was such an obscure, yet badass console!
MrGSTAR321’s favorite Shinobi game

Man I'm sad that sega left the console market. I had sega systems dating back to the Sega Master system. RIP sega console, you will always hold a special place in my heart.
dang, the animation is really smooth o.O
Never knew before that there's a Shinobi game series in Sega Saturn. Thanks for playing this game and upload on UA-cam. ^ ^
This game owns. I enjoyed the hell out of it back in the 90's,was one of the reasons to own a Saturn. But I could never make it past stage 6. But then again in those days I never played on the easy settings because I always wanted more of a crazy challenge, thats why i never made it too far in the game. Now that we all have the internet there's cheats around to add more lives and level selects. I'm close to beating it right now,on stage 8. But I try not to use cheats. I do use a few, depends on the level though, such as stage select. I can't sit infront of the tv and play this for more than a few hours before my eyes and brain start to get burned out. LOL. Part of getting older I guess. So the level select cheat is so good to have, you can return later, insert that cheat, and just resume at the stage where you left off. Or sometimes using the cheat to add more lives in the game. Because it sucks to finally make it to the end level boss and have next to no lives left to learn his pattern and defeat him. And if you lose all ives when fighting a boss its back to doing the whole stage over, which is fine. But the last 4 stages in this game are really fucking insane at times with difficulty and I don't have that youthful gamer in me i use. Such a great game though, the music, the cool digital stages and characters remind me of that period so much when it all the crazy to have that Mortal Kombat digital graphical style in games. Oh and those cheesy cut scenes,I love that shit. LOL. Maybe it took itself a little too seriously when it first released but nowdays this shit is classic homage to a lost era. With the cinematics inbetween those hard as nails stages its nice to be able to sit back and take a break watching them for a good laugh. Fun to watch and sure as hell is fun to play. Saturn lives on forever baby. Miss the old Sega so much.
Richard Jacques would go on to compose the music for the Saturn version of Sonic 3D Blast, Sonic R and other future Sonic games at the time.
saturn was my favorite console. great in all aspects
This game is a snapshot in time, at an era in which we were going through a transition and people didn't know what was the future. The FMV games wanted to be the future, but failed, and digitized characters were neat but being slowly replaced by polygon characters. It was an exciting era.
This is a fantastic game, by the way. Cheesy, sure, but that makes it all the more charming.
