Man this game is hard! I was trying to beat it few years ago and at some point i just tired and turned it off. But yeah, i like what they did with this game. They were trying to continue what Shinobi 3 started back on Mega Drive and they did a good job. I wish Shinobi series return at some day in modern style.
I see a lot of people in the comments section criticizing the graphics of this game. But I will give Shinobi X credit for one thing: poor graphics aside, the MUSIC at least is REALLY awesome.
Good job, firstly. FMV looks a little awkward sometimes, but I can forgive that. Not because they're really good, or even because of technical limitations of the time period, but because of human nature...when we, as a race, get (figuratively or otherwise) a new toy, we simply must play with it, or even show it off. :)
BTW, I'm noticing that this is just the third Saturn game on your channel, and all in a few weeks. Have you got more in the pipeline? :) The system may have been a loser in its generation but it had plenty of interesting games (Astal, the remastered version of Hyper Duel, Princess Crown, Cotton 2 made on the ST-V hardware, Guardian Heroes...)
Fun Fact: Toei who produces Kamen Rider, Super Sentai/Power Rangers and the Metal Heroes franchise as well as other oddball tokus like Changerion produced the cutscenes for this game. This was due to Hakaider's 1994 film and game on Saturn and the aforementioned Changerion being produced by SEGA and Toei's collab. You thought Toei and Marvel's collab of Spiderman, Frankenstein, Dracula and Battle Fever J till Sun Vulcan was wild, this is the wild cheese, man. ^_^ 5:45, nice Kaizer Wave there, man. 8:00, I didn't know Soaron and Blastaar from Captain Power were in this game. Also, is it me or does Kazuma look a bit like Gai Yuki from Jetman? Hehehe. Those fierce eyebrows remind me of the guy.

Aside from the gameplay the other redeeming quality to this hard but fun game is its kick ass soundtrack. I can listen to this soundtrack any day of the week.

Shinobi X looks like they were trying the Mortal Kombat style of graphics. Boss #6 makes the connection even more obvious.

They mostly hate it because Sega didn't use sprites of the shinobis on the genesis, and they prefer use realistic sprites.
