Reminds me of Borderlands 2. One of the Characters had a skill called No kill like Overkill which made it so any overkill damage was added to the base damage of your next hit. This was pretty hilarious because combined with all the other broken skills that character had (some players referr to Slavador as a walking glitch rather than a playable character) that you could just quickly wipe a mob enemy and your next shot had the potential to one-hit bosses...
I just started a few days ago and I am still in early/mid game so I don't understand those weapon mechanics and buffs and upgrades and what-not - but damn, that's a lot of damage! xD I felt so powerful returning to the Ancient Forest with my flame-upgraded Dual Blades and could DESTROY a Great Jagras in about 2 minutes of non-stop slashing, but you just crushed his entire skull with one giant swing. That's so awesome! I can't wait for late game now :D

on the monster weakpoint calculation at the start of the video on the right side of the screen it says x0.80. this means: say if the base damage was 10 then it would go x2(sleep)(20)x2.11(motion)(42.2) and then x0.80 (weakpoint)(33.76) would equal to lower than the previous result (42.2). then the calculations for crit boost and white sharpness which in the end would equate to 62.38848. the equation you would be looking for on the weakpoint calculation would be: sleep multiplied number+(sleep multiplied number x 0.80). read over your calculations more.

@@gludovic6437 honestly I've never had that issue compared to my friends who tend to use greatsword, switch axe and charge blade. I mean sure I always *miss that tail because this sword can't REACH GAWDAMMIT* but yeah. I prefer being always ready for every fight. Also the idea of fighting monsters with a traditional sword and shield, epic.
Not to nitpick on the small things, but with the weak point multiplyer, you have it at a "* 0.xx" if you multiply by a value less than 1, you're actually doing a reduction, example of 1 * .80 = .80 I'm not sure if that is what you're going for as I don't know maybe you attack an area that isn't a weak point maybe it'll only be .25 instead. Just thought I would point that out. Again, I don't know the values regularly, just seems weird to me that a weak point would give damage reduction
Somehow this is the most "realistic" Monster Hunter video of them all. Because, in real life, no living thing, no matter how big it is, could take a direct hit to the skull with such a heavy chunk of metal without dying from severe brain damage.
I imagine the monsters in Rotten Vale talking to each other like: "That hunter lady is bathing in acid again... I wonder who's next."

These are high rank. Low rank monsters are close to 1000 hp. It only feels low because this is solo. In multiplayer, monsters would have 3x health.

Multiplayer is a flat 2.5 multiplier on monster health, and switching weapons will remove the buffs from the previous
