The Suryanamaskar is a graceful sequence of 12 positions performed as one continuous exercise with deep rhythmic breathing. Each position counteracts the one before alternately expanding and contracting the chest to regulate the breathing. About 95% of the muscles are used while performing Suryanamaskar. You will feel wonderful and light after performing the Suryanamaskar. It is relaxing and rejuvenating. Traditionally Suryanamaskar is best performed facing east, the direction of the rising sun in the early hours of the morning.
