I revisited it with this expedition, which is like their version of a season. I'm having fun with it: exploring, opening up build options, ship hunting. I will say that there are a lot of underlying mechanics that it doesn't always explain well, so picking them up at first can be a bit of a hassle. Once you've got the basics down though, you should be good to go.
