That is so cool man! I got to see them at Bonnaroo Festival in 2010. They did the whole Dark side of the Moon album plus their hits.

Rad interview Jordan. I'm not from OKC, but I've driven through many times traveling between LA-Missouri and as a huge Lips fan I usually try to stop there and find a special location or 2 related to Flaming Lips history... like the bar where they played their first show, the high school they went to, the restaurant Wayne worked at as a teenager, etc. Over the years I've checked off maybe 10 spots and have compiled a comprehensive list if you ever have free time in OKC and want to nerd out. One time I was showing my girl a couple of the spots and we were parked outside Wayne's house, not trespassing or knocking on the door or anything, just sitting there talking, and she said "I wonder if he's home?" and I was like nah, I think they're tour.." and before I could finish the sentence the front door opens, Wayne steps outside wearing a bathrobe, picks up the newspaper, glances over at us in our car, and just smiles and walks back in. I think that probably happens regularly, lol. probably went inside and told Katy "we got some stalkers outside again"

I hope you enjoyed your time in my home state. We have lots to do here! From sand buggy riding on the sand dunes of Little Sahara in the northwest part of the state. Wayne is cool as hell! Excellent observation on the "children's album" thing, their albums are quite similar to children's albums being free and innocent and expressive void of worry of belonging, and that's what makes their music really work and stand out!
I would say King's Mouth pretty much IS a children's album!

He really does. I only know him from hanging out with Miley and thought he was a creeper that rubbed off on her. But he seems way more decent and innocent than Ms. Miley could ever be. He seems normal has a wife not into kiddies like I thought he would be. I don't know why he rubbed me the wrong way initially. 🤔 Still not hip to his music. I'm more into Francisco Tarrega and classical these days sorry not sorry
