Used to go to Barney’s back in the 70’s. Yes I am old!😁
Did you know Vince Cirillo, and Misty?
I did, too! Played pool & had good drinks. SO much history! But even in '85 this place was old & seemed dirty but no one cared.
Talk about a great vlog! This was some real musical history...and at long last the Rainbow!!!!!
In the mid-1960s, while living in West Hollywood a friend who worked as an electrician on movies invited me along with him and a couple of his cohorts out to Barney's. The place was much more basic in looks from what you've shown in your vlog but still an interesting experience. Eating chili and washing it down with a brew, we were entertained by a stuntman's behind the scenes stories while working on the "Death Valley Days" TV series. That evening was his farewell party, on his way back to shooting more episodes.
Going doing the rabbit hole on your older vlogs .rip Lenard .great vlog as always Jordan
Man, the history in those places is mind boggling. Thanks for the vlog
I came here just now after watching an 1971 episode of "Columbo" on MeTV ! In one scene Columbo goes to Barney's Beanery for a bowl of chili. Sure looks like a cool place ! Of course I realize it must have changed a lot since the early 70s. Another great video, Jordan ! Kudos, young man ! :-)
Lots of history in these two eateries. Been to both (even sat at Janis's table!) but my favorite is the Rainbow. Love that awesome fireplace and all the colored lights. Food is simply incredible - especially the pizza!!!
Been there a few times. Great restaurant. My friend who passed away in September 2013 always paid. I could never afford it. Did a pay it forward here in my friend's honor.
The Doors,Kings of COOL!!!!!!!
I love your videos and I love Jah he's so cute!!
i do love the pizza, the first time i visited and had pizza, we sat next to the Scorpions. The story of Lemmy hanging out at the poker machine is correct, i saw him often. nicest guy .. hung out at the Rainbow often from 93-98.. the dance floor upstairs was my favorite.. Thanks Jordan
The history of some places is interesting. Nice that some things are changed (taken down) while the history of the location can remain.
Jordan, I've recently began watching you and you are becoming one of my fav. Vloggers. Thanks for sharing all that amazing Hollywood history and sites. Great work sir! 👍🏻
I heartily concur !!
This has been my new favorite channel now! I love this channel so much!!!!! Especially in this crazy time right now! Makes me so happy to watch all your wonderful adventures!!!!
Wow, what a decent guy Barnie was, it reminds me of my sister, my mother and my grandmother, who would all reach out and help others!
Ed Kowalczyk the lead singer of the band Live once was at Barney's Beanery during karaoke night. He jumped on stage when someone picked a Live song to sing. No one knew it was him until he opened his mouth and started singing. Very cool!
been here once but always in the rainbow when im over from wales uk
The first time I heard of Barney's Beanery was seeing it in the movie "Out of Bounds" (1985) starring Anthony Michael Hall and Jenny Wright. I had no idea there was so much history behind it. Another fascinating vlog.
Jordan I really love your channel I think I've watched every video you put up,,thank you for this Hollywood history it's fascinating
Love your Content ! Plus your dog has the most beautiful eyes..so cute.
I definitely want to visit that bowling alley. The Beanery was a lot bigger than I expected.
My friends and i used to go to Barney's late night about 94' regularly and there were always lots of rockers in there like we the guys from Jane's Addiction and a Guns and Roses or two.
Another good vlog. 😁 Thank you Jordan and Jah. 👍👍👍👍
Ginger Rogers told me she used to eat there in 1930s. There was a skating rink nearby and afterwards she and Carry Grant, would eat there. How cool! Thanks for sharing! Love your blogs. Blessings Salo :)

You're welcome
Any dirt on the old TV show Soap?
Being OCD and a research freak I see a different perk to all the license plates..... I would love to have a list to research and see who they belonged too. Could be some ultimately successful people left them there. Forgotten pieces of history.
Did your friend like the Nike shoes?
Walked in2 another world whn we went in2 Barneys. An Joplin an Belushi i watched tha last 24 on there deaths. Hi friends.
Practically lived at The Rainbow during the 80s also worked the door at Ten Masa across the street in 90, Ten Masa had all the overflow from all the clubs, it was quite a party place back then, if you ever go there say hi to Mamasan, Papasan or their two sons and say hi from Jedd, they will definitely remember me, lol
epic
👍🏻👏🏼
Honestly, food at the rainbow..not good. And expensive. Waitress I had was hoooot though and a total sweetheart.
Who remembers the scene at the rainbow in the dirt when Mötley Crüe are getting schlop top under the table
