I’m starting a new journal this week, having finally finished one (my first filled journal ever) from June 2023 to March 2024. I’ve been inconsistently bullet journaling since 2018. So glad I found this channel and joined the community via Patreon!
I’m glad you found us too 😄💜 congrats on the journal wrap up!
i think it's nice to have the fourteenth week as kind of a mini future log, so you can see what's coming at the beginning of next quarter before you transition to it!
That was my thought too, yeah! 😄💜
I love your work🧡 Do you have a monthly, weekly, daily bulletin journal set up video? I want all 3🤪
Jess saying she messed up her monthly spread order set up made me realized I had too also forgot a step. its totally okay girl, it happens to the best of us xD
As always THANK YOU for not on;y showing us the "how" but sharing with us the thought process behind what you do. This is just ONE of many reasons being a member of the "Team with a capital T" is the best game in town! BTW what order did you plan for the pages to go?
thanks for asking this, i was curious about how the order of the pages were planned, too
Initially the plan was:
- Overview spread
- Projects + routines
- Content releases
- AYOP + dashboard
- Pre-trip checklists
- Cyclic + quarterly plans
So the pre-trip checklists just got moved up 😊💜
2:48 I love this idea of blocking out the time, much better than putting a line through it😊
This looks amazing, I love how clean you create your spreads ☺☺
loved this set up! i’m starting to think of my next planner set up & i definitely think i’m going to bring back to basics
Glad you liked it! 😄 I’m slowly seeing myself shift towards more simple, yeah 🤔 I think it’s just what I need right now 😝
I was hoping you would do a video of your reset week setup! I did however enjoy this video.
We have a general reset week video planned for next week if that helps 😊
Just had the thought i needed to assess for quarter two and got the reminder this video is live 😂❤ Thank you as always for your great timing and insights! I hope you enjoy your reset week
The one for the bottom was a month in your whole-journal-in-a-few-hours live, wasn't it?
These spreads are so calming.
Have you read the 12 week year book? It supports a lot of what your new planning style is!
I haven't yet, but I've been planning to 😄💜
One time I saw you put a write-on film on one of your pages. I can’t find it again. What do you use? I need film for my A5 planner. Thank you!
Hello! I saw a previous video maybe a month or so back where you mentioned starting a journal based on quarters. I find it interesting for a few reasons, one I haven’t heard anyone else do this, two I’ve been trying to find a way to do something similar yet with the Calendar in the sky that the Creator made hence Genesis 1:14 (not the Hillel nor the Gregorian calendars) which is based on seeing and knowing that the sky rotates like a clock, the stars move and are not fixed, 3 your ability to execute and I assume make the change mentally with ease.
I’m still in that process of not allowing the Gregorian to dictate and frame my calendar perspective yet what Abba God created….so we shall see if at some point I’m able to accomplish this without confusion! 🤗
Yeah it's certainly an adjustment of moving to a different timeframe than you're used to! 😝 I think it will take a couple of quarters to really get used to it 🤔
I feel like you hardcore called me out on the use your hoarded supplies *side eyes my washi tape bowl* 😂
Haha 😂 I have a sneaking suspicion you’re not alone in that 😝
Ummm Question??? Do you have two week 12's on the quarterly overview spread? Or are my eyes playing tricks on me?
That second one is R for reset 😊
See...these eyeballs of mine are NOT trustworthy lol@@JashiiCorrin
I nearly tore my page trying to cut washi tapes! Any tips? 😢
If you mean like at 1:25 with the blade... It comes with practice. You get a feel of how hard to press with the blade. 💖🌞🌵😷
@@suzisaintjamesok thank you!
If it helps, I totally tore my pages in this setup 😝 I find that if my page starts tearing from one end, I’ll go and start pulling the tape up more slowly from the other rather than continue 👌 just helps limit the mess 😊 that and the practice that Suzi mentioned 💪
As for washing tape, some washi sticks more the longer it's on the paper, so if you are going to tear the edges, do it right away.
If you just can't tear your tape on the paper, first apply it to a non-stick surface like a melamine desk, a cutting mat or even the deck of your paper cutter. Tear it how you like, remove from the surface and apply to the page.
A unrelated hint... Use your paper cutter or a rotary blade to cut your wide washi into narrow strips. Just roll out a bit of washi and apply to the base of your paper cutter (or cutting mat), cut, remove and apply to your paper. 💖🌞🌵😷
